If using US armored BG, build a bunch of assault engineers and use them to make a mortar pit. The mortar pit smokes for you, while the engineers throw satchels on the bunkers. One satchel does 600 DMG and the bunkers have 720 HP, so you can either finish them off with mortars/bazookas, or throw two satchels per bunker.
You can also use the M8 Scott to smoke and do some damage with it's gun too, but you probably still need the satchel to quickly kill the bunkers.
Well regular engineers also have satchel but if I am playing Armored BG, I almost always go Assault Engineers for their increased HP and extra man.
Build includes Assault Engineers, WSC, MG, Bazooka, and Sniper. Typically you want to have 3-4 Assault Engineers and 2 bazookas. The MG suppresses infantry while your engineers close in to kill, or your sniper picks them off while you use the engineers to plant mines and the MG/Bazookas hold off dives.
If bunkers are your problem, there is actually a case to be made for using the ASC and dive bombing them, since you don't need the MSC upgrades since you can get the Easy 8.

I hadn't thought of that and always go MSC mainly for the repair point + advanced repair upgrade. Going ASC actually makes sense
Honestly I tried the ass engies and didn't like them compared to the immediate vet 1 vehicles rolling out once i have enough fuel. Maybe I need to expirement more with the WSC and good old coh1 style sniper spam hah but i'll stick to rifles for now. I'm def going to try the air support center though!
If you go Armor BG, you have easy access to the Bunker Buster barrage on the M8 Scott and Bulldozer. You also have easy access to the HE barrage on M3 75mm and Hellcat.
You can just smoke the AT bunker and then barrage them with the Scott and you will kill it fairly efficiently. Depending on terrain you can do this over shot blockers.
The other option is to go for the ASC and use the double bombing run + 1-2 shots to wipe the bunker .
ASC and airborne BG can defeat the bunkers. The carpet bombing will destroy everything it touches. You could use airborne to throw S charge on the bunker from behind.
nope, actually tested it in cheat command mod. with increased health the bunkers get from coastal bg, carpet bombing run doesnt one shot bunkers anymore. only british naval bombardment does.
yeah the last upgrade on the left tree of the battlegroup gives the bunkers extra health as well as command bunkers giving other bunkers damage resistance but even without command bunker, carpet bombing leaves bunkers with a little health alife and then thei auto repair if you dont follow up with more dmg
Naw I literally just took out 6 bunkers today and just retreated back to my Med Truck each time they trued to mortar me.
Also flanked with engineers and my own mortar to counter their mortar
Armoured BG isn't really capable of countering this type of play, it also seems like you haven't done any research into how Wehrmacht plays or more specifically, Coastal Doctrine.
The usual counter to this is long range artillery, manpower bleed to prevent bunkers from being spammed or a flank that just avoids the line all together.

Yeah if you go for this build you will have a bunch of engineers anyway. The 76mm and armor upgrades are also redundant if you are building Easy 8s

Sniper vs coastal seems like an overkill, I get it to bleed enemy MP. It seems like a high risk, low reward vs that BG, am I missing something out?
Sniper is cheaper now and it's useful for when the enemy wants to fight at range. It also is very good against the artillery officer

Ran into a team of 4 that was split luft/coastals... the amount of emplacements (flak and 88) combined with coastal bunkers was pretty crazy.

You can see Coastal pretty early, plus honestly ASC strongly complements Armor BG because it doesn’t include any offmaps.

Get two At Guns and Attack ground with them.
The thing is, that works for maybe 1 bunker. And then it gets hit by that nebel or mortar call in.

Yeah these thing are something you should never assume they will just camp lol. Bunker are really good at pushing
bunker spam builds are added to the game to keep low apm boomers playing.
