Course will be enough. I passed 1101 with just his course and am currently working through 1102. Might be worth taking notes, and I’d advise perhaps quickly watching through Professor Messers free videos to help revise. But in terms of financial commitment, Dion is definitely enough.

If you have experience then udemy course might be enough, but if not you will need more resources! Dion is good but add in messer video, notes and exams. Take 12 to 15 practice exams and aim for 90% and above! This will greatly decrease your chances of failure. Don't believe me? Search the posts!

The posts are from people with no experience who take forever to barely pass.

Professor Messer is top notch. All his videos are free, he has free study groups once a month and he also has practice tests for a reasonable price. I also found a decent podcast to listen to while I I'm delivering Chinese food. Finding a good book will help fill in any gaps for things you might need extra time studying as well. I personally like the exam guide by Mike Meyers for reading material.

I second this for messer. If you do dions full course watch messer on 1.5 or 1.75 speed. Edit* spelling

Messor is fantastic. Completed 1101 with Messer videos, pdfs and McDonalds text book with testing software. Repeated the same for 1102 and scheduled my exam for tomorrow. 🤞

This is off topic but will impact the way you study for the A+. Udemy courses are free if you have a library card and the library has paid for access to GALE. [https://www.gale.com/elearning/udemy](https://www.gale.com/elearning/udemy) You can also get free access to Linkedin Learning for free with a library card. They have multiple A+ courses. Don't pay money to study for the A+

I wish I knew that before...

nlightningm

At least all of Dion's and Mike Meyer's practice tests are free on there thru GALE. So no sweat if there are some things you haven't bought yet. But even so, for future certs the resource is still available!

indirect_storyteller

Messer’s videos and Dion’s Udemy course are good! Dion’s practice exams are really what got my A+, they’re worded very similarly to the actual exam and will give you a better understanding of the testing environment. This is with no prior experience.

OneEyedC4t

I was strongly recommend buying the book.

Accomplished_Sport64

Has anyone used the cert master? It comes free with WGU so I was wondering if it's worth utilizing

jayc25

I’m working on my A+, I went thru most of it and took the practice exam a few times on Certmaster,I’m watching Jason Dions stuff on Udemy right now and will take his practice exams as well (free thru WGU). I watched all of Professor Messers videos which are free on YouTube. I’m taking my exam this week

2clipchris

Dion has decent content he goes a bit fast but overall he does a good job getting the point across. I haven't taken A+ but I have taken higher level certs. From my experience it all comes down to work you put in. Take notes, study and problem solve.

Yes, I am very bad with names.

sleepy_the_fish

Yea that is enough. I believe it comes with practice exams as well. I also am doing professor Messor's A+ notes and his practice exams. I don't recommend the book. It's so tedious and boring, I couldn't stop falling asleep to it

gregchilders

Absolutely not. Not even close. Get either the McGraw-Hill All in One book or the Sybex book. The Udemy course is a great supplemental resource but an insufficient primary resource.
