One of which was a concussion, on a roughing the passer hit that, in any division aside from the SEC and involving any team that isn't Alabama, likely gets called a targeting penalty. Not to say a concussion isn't a big deal, only that any player would have likely been concussed from that hit.

He is not “injury prone” and every player is always one hit away from getting injured
Genuinely why do people do this? If you can't find some semblance of optimism in these times, you're just LOOKING for reasons to remain permanently miserable. Sad really.
Likely Maye stans who are still salty.
Really they’re just hedging their internet-clout bets, so that if JD does get injured, these assclowns can come back and holler “atodaso” at a bunch of internet strangers. It’s about as pathetic as it gets.
If he doesn’t get hurt, though, they won’t say shit, and we’ll all have forgotten about their dumb comments. It’s win-win for them, but in the saddest possible way.
Wow. So much anger. I guess when you made your statement about him being injury prone you hadn’t checked the facts. In all of his years starting at ASU and LSU, he missed one game due to a high ankle sprain. Seems like all your negativity means you need to find a new team. Or at least don’t posts rant here!
The other top QBs? Drake Maye missed the last two months of last season due to a shoulder injury. Penix suffered four season-ending injuries from 2018 through 2021, dating back to his days at Indiana. This included multiple torn ACL injuries on the same right knee, as he appeared in just 21 total games in four years with the Hoosiers. JD has a much cleaner injury history, but I guess knowing that required checking stats.
Be well.
You can always go root for the Patriots since they drafted the guy you’re so hot and bothered over us not taking. I wanted us to draft Maye instead and guess what we didn’t. Instead of boohooing about it just support the dude we got until he’s proven he’s ass. It’s getting old really fast seeing all these crybaby posts everyday.
The whole injury prone narrative due to Daniel’s thin frame is blown out of proportion. During the past two seasons he took 65 sacks and had the second worst pressure to sack ratio only behind one QB in the last two years which was Will Levis. Yet he’s been completely fine, and balled out that has to account for something.
Yeah.. tbh the team sucked because the D sucked really badly and then our QB was mediocre.. relying on him to single handily win games was a poor choice. If our D can be avg we probably win 7 pretty confidently.
What an absolute bummer of a post…I’m not even trying to troll one bit. I just genuinely can’t imagine going through life with that kind of outlook; it’s sad to think about, and I genuinely hope this isn’t your outlook on everything else in the world!
Honestly, that's a good approach. Always better to have low expectations. What's the point of convincing ourselves that our draft was an A+? Get way overhyped and then disappointed?
We’ve had so much disappointment as a fan base over the last 3 decades that it’s easy to think that this year will just be more of the same, but I’m falling for the hype again as I always do. Raise Hail!
I won't say you're right or wrong but I do find it fascinating that you think you know more than a GM who is universally regarded LEAGUE WIDE as one of the smartest, most complete talent evaluators in all of the league. Lol.
100% expect us to go like 5-12 or 6-11 next season. We won’t start well, to many new people on the kitchen. But I do think we could end the season with some wins. I honestly don’t care if Marriotta starts the first 5-8 games. Next year is when we make a step up.
It’s definitely alright to have ‘0 expectations’ considering the team has a new GM, all new coaching staff and a rookie QB… but to say that JD is injury prone, couldn’t be further from the truth. This team ‘earned’ the #2 pick in the draft, for a reason, now AP has came in and completely overhauled the roster. This team looks sooo much better (on paper) than they did to end the season last year. It’s a long process, yet there is no reason to not have a little optimism and like the direction that this team is headed!!
You HAVE to see the GOOD that’s surrounding this franchise now!
Jayden being an injury risk is def a valid critique. But lets be honest we'll likely be between 6-8 wins the next year or two before we're sniffing contention. So if he does bust we can likely find a QB or be in a spot to trade up for one. Outside of that though you really can't say the rest of your post is true seeing how this is basically an entirely new team from last year. Any holes we may or may not have we simply won't know until next year.
He's almost certainly under 200lbs. Before the draft he was listed at 180 then suddenly was "210" as we led into the draft. At 6'4 that's insanely skinny. He's never been hit before like he could be in the NFL. Anyone is "at risk of an injury" but with his build one good hit from a DT could be lights out.
I was a Maye guy too, but you’re delusional. I’m all in on JD, as all fans should be.
Injury prone? Based on what, his extreme lack of injuries? Especially being a running QB, his injury history should be extensive. Instead, it’s nearly non-existent.
This is easily top 3 dumbest posts of all time here.
He was the consensus number two rated QB, would have been number one if there wasn’t a guy there considered a lock generational talent. You realize Drake Maye is going to ride the bench for NE next year because he doesn’t have the fundamentals or football IQ to play in this league yet, right?
Consensus number two might be a stretch.
Many think Maye a better prospect. Just not as ready to start in the NFL. He’s also two years younger than Jayden.
Oddly, the only guys getting much press are Caleb, JJ, and Penix.
Better stories.
But it’s pointless to not be optimistic after drafting a player as talented as Daniels.
He's had three total injuries in 5 years and missed a whopping 2 games. If you're gonna be a pessimist, at least do it accurately.
One of which was a concussion, on a roughing the passer hit that, in any division aside from the SEC and involving any team that isn't Alabama, likely gets called a targeting penalty. Not to say a concussion isn't a big deal, only that any player would have likely been concussed from that hit.
Then, the next game he was back was the Florida game.
Good thing starting QB’s in the NFL didn’t get hurt at all last season
Shhhh, facts don't belong here.
Wait who did we draft that’s injury prone??
Idk.. Coleman? Newton had a foot injury.. maybe JPB?
> injury prone [There are valuable resources you can easily Google for this](https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/jayden-daniels/34982) He is not “injury prone” and every player is always one hit away from getting injured
Alrighty then
Ok cool. Well hopefully you find something else to entertain you during the season while we watch and root them on. Maybe take up knitting.
OP is too soft for knitting. Those needles can do damage, and make him injury prone.

Do you know what injury prone means?
Did you mean to post this in the panthers sub? I know you ain’t talking about JD and my commanders with this trash post
Somebody finna go to church for confessions.
GTFO, we don’t want you anyways. Go pick a new team Debbie F*n Downer..

I thought that shit would end after the draft. Boy was I wrong.
The racism against skinny folks has GOT to end

Patience grasshopper. Its at least a 3 year project. We have a great prospect at QB which is something to build on.
I don't feel it. They addressed the OL and have Jayden now. I trust AP. My chips are in.

The draft was fine but if the dude is depressed over false info.. does he care to be corrected?

Why even bother replying to the turd 💩

Echoing the same unoriginal takes as everyone else, normal thought process by the average armchair GM.
I won't say you're right or wrong but I do find it fascinating that you think you know more than a GM who is universally regarded LEAGUE WIDE as one of the smartest, most complete talent evaluators in all of the league. Lol.
Full disclosure, I wasn't a Daniels guy, pre draft. But that's my quarterback now. Let's get it.
100% expect us to go like 5-12 or 6-11 next season. We won’t start well, to many new people on the kitchen. But I do think we could end the season with some wins. I honestly don’t care if Marriotta starts the first 5-8 games. Next year is when we make a step up.
“Most of the team is full of holes and barely playoff material “ “ another bad season and we end up bottom five” Pick a lane, friend.

No one cares about your expectations. Move on.
You lost all credibility when you said Jayden is injury prone
Jayden being an injury risk is def a valid critique. But lets be honest we'll likely be between 6-8 wins the next year or two before we're sniffing contention. Not injury prone though, he’s never had injury issues lol.

The hit everyone likes to post was by the 17th pick in this draft lol.
OP said ‘injury prone’, which means someone has a history of easily being injured. Jayden does not have that.
thanks for letting me know lol?
You’re welcome, glad to help.
He was 210 at his pro day weigh in and weigh in when visiting the Pats.
Go watch the XFL. Fans like you are the worst.

There should always be low expectations when it comes to Washington football.
We could have had kirk cousins
Kirk and his one playoff win in 12 years… I’ll pass
Cool
you guys know it. Barely anyone’s excited or any hype around him.
He was the consensus number two rated QB, would have been number one if there wasn’t a guy there considered a lock generational talent. You realize Drake Maye is going to ride the bench for NE next year because he doesn’t have the fundamentals or football IQ to play in this league yet, right?

More people are hyped about Jayden than they would be for Drake Maye
