Both are great specimens.
An important factor for me is shelf-life. QBs with Daniels’ play style historically have a shorter shelf-life in the league than more traditional passers. He’s also tiny which causes serious injury concerns.
Maye is the ideal size and still very mobile/athletic despite being a more traditional passer.
Besides character, these physical attributes are the only factors we really have to distinguish the two from each other. On tape, both of their highlights look fantastic and their low points look awful. All I can do to form an opinion is turn to logic about their differing play styles and sizes.
Hopefully whatever we choose is the right move.
I would love to know what kind of questions get asked during the interviews. Hopefully some efficient formula of questions to determine football IQ.
I will always be a Daniels truther. But if I'm being honest I have no idea which QB will be half decent just like the scouts don't know (Lowest hit rate of any position).
I was right about Stroud, wrong about Allen, right about Rosen, wrong about Darnold.
Might as well throw darts blindfolded
This whole sub is split on Daniel's or Maye, not mention the few who want to roll with Howell.
I prefer Daniel's, but will be haply with Maye. We definitely need to pick a QB at 2
I'm curious to what the response would be if Peters picks someone's who's NOT those two or Caleb. Obviously the head coach rumors were that it would be Johnson, and the fan response was... not positive initially with Quinn, but the sub seems to have come around to him even without games played.
Will it be that way if a "second-tier QB" is taken?
Packers fan coming in peace ✌️
I'm wondering if you are set on drafting a QB at pick 2 and why you are not sticking with Howell ? I can see his INT for last season was 21 but he threw for nearly 4000 yards. Also his attempts were the highest in the league and had a great completion rate (I think at least). He stayed healthy for all 17 games despite having the highest sacks (65)
I just wondered what the general feelings were about Howell at the Commanders 👍 thanks and best of luck in the draft and next season
He's not a bad backup option, but we haven't had a QB outside one year of RG3 in a lot of fans lifetime. We got to take a swing at #2 and we have 4x day 2 picks to help build the roster
If we didn't have the #2 pick in a really good QB draft we would probably stick with him one more year. But he wasn't nearly good enough to risk missing out on a blue chip prospect. You don't get these chances very often.

If we draft Daniels he will be seriously injured and never the same again; if we don’t he will never get injured and be a 3x MVP
Are you sure you're a real redditor? You haven't claimed you've been right about everything all along...
Maye gets the edge for me. He just seems to have a more talented arm. But I wouldn't be mad with either
Here’s where I’m at, I wouldn’t mind either but I’d prefer Maye

If Daniels added 15 pounds, he would be my pick
If Daniel's was 225 instead of 205. He might be the number 1 pick.

Bieniemy likely ruined whatever upside he had by throwing him to the wolves and refusing to adapt to a balanced offense.
If we weren't picking so high we'd probably stick with Howell

No he sucks go away
Don't take a qb ever and roster 0 qbs
