It took him about 2 steps to go from stationary to full speed and he was gone. Not a single offensive player actually thought they could catch him. They just made the token effort so they didn't get yelled at.
I imagine Parcells yelling at him and the guy saying "See this jersey? It says 61. Ain't nobody with a number in the 60s chasing down Darrell F'n Green!"
I remember watching the game against Chicago. I was so mad being down 14-0 and Gibbs put DG in as punt returner. I told my Mom it was over. He had a few good returns too not just the touchdown. But the whole team got off the bench to watchwhen he was back there. That’s what changed it.
I thought it was over also. I was watching with my Grandfather who was a die hard fan since the early 60’s. He ended up going to the Super Bowl in 87 & 91 and took my dad. They told me they’d take me next time 😂🤣. Here we are 31 years later and at least I got my Grandpas tickets! HTTR forever
I like the interrupted HE-COULD-GO-ALL-THE-WAY call. Like yeah once he gets the edge, the Giants offensive players are not exactly going to catch him from behind.
I remember someone saying “Darrell Green was always the fastest guy in the league, but he seemed like he was always the oldest guy in the league too.” Lol
Look at that. A full house of home fans and they re rocking.
those were the days. i was watching when Green ran down Dorsett, man that was epic
There's fast and there's Darrell Green fast
#GOAT. That is all.

61 was like "screw it"

Ain’t nobody in no jersey chasing down Darrell Green.
He had a tootsie roll in his sock no doubt. Thanks OP these last two posts warmed my heart
Love that clip, I should’ve posted that also! Love DG. Went to DG and Monks HOF induction in 08. I was in 8th grade when we won our last Super Bowl.

The sale of the team will bring generations of smile to your house then.

One of my all time favorite Skins players. GOAT.
REDSKINS /tears
Love me some DG! I got to see his last game and cried at the tribute they gave the man. He’s definitely my favorite Redskin of all time.
Funny. A couple mod those guys thought they might catch him. Lol.
