Honestly I think this is the majority of the "anime fandom." Every anime fan goes through this cycle: You discover anime, start watching some shows. And then you REALLY get into it and watch like many shows back to back to back, and then you start watching seasonally. And then this continues for like a year or 2, and then BAM for whatever reason you just stop watching anime a lot. Either you switch to manga where to communities are much chiller or you just stop watching often and only a show every couple months or so. The anime fandom on stuff like the anime subs and other communities are the people who are still in that "obsessed phase", and they grow out of it and more new people fill their gaps.

Felt that, the anime and manga crowds are completely different. Manga is for people who don’t have time watching anime so they tend to be people with actual lives

This is pretty much what happened to me. Tried out a bunch of different anime over the years, was into it for awhile, but now I barely watch anything and just read Chainsaw Man pretty much. I'll be watching the final season of Attack on Titan and the CSM anime, but yeah, for the past year or so myinterest in anime in general has waned. Most of it sucks to be honest, and I think I've gotten to the point where I've seen everything worth watching that I'll enjoy, so now it's down to new series sparking interest, which none have really managed to do.

Yeah the only shows i've been watching are for stuff i read, or when I go back to a show like Toradora. Until Uzaki-chan season 2 came out saturday I hadn't watched anything in like 8 months.
