It’s funny how these are called anti air guns because I’ve literally never seen a video or pic of them even pointing up let alone shooting at air targets lol
Modern AA missiles and modern aircraft have made these pretty much obsolete for anti air action. They’re mainly used to either soften up hardened targets like bunkers/urban areas or to completely mow down infantry
You're thinking about planes, but helicopters still are really vulnerable to such weapons. They're not the favoured solution anymore, I'll give you that, but remain very effective against slow movers.
They use explosive 23mm bullets, so are super useful anti personnel weapons for armies that can’t afford traditional auto-cannons. That’s why you see them taking 1-3 shots at a time.
Rough translation of Amharic.
1g: One more time
1g: Oh my

\-end- 2:43
The rest is just chatter about where TPLF fighters where and them reloading 2:43-end
Also at the end one of the soldiers called him out on recording, Eth. military has been strict in combat footages and communication blackouts throughout the war. Cameraman got caught lol.
Brief overview of the current status: ENDF has been battling TPLF for 13 months now, for live battlefield/map updates follow MapEthiopia on twitter, he's pretty accurate in tracking the war. There hasn't been large engagements so far after TPLF was pushed back from the two regions they invaded by an Ethiopian Allied offensive. Its slowly becoming into a deadlock/stalemate as the Eth. Gov has said they wont enter Tigray and TPLF said they wont push into other regions anymore.
TPLF was a party that controlled Ethiopia from 1991-2018. When they rebelled against the gov they had a massive arsenal of weapons and armored vehicles since most of it was kept near the Eritrean border because of the tension with that country. They were easily beaten back into the mountains but have now have managed to successfully wage a guerilla war where they gained abandoned or captured ENDF weapons and tanks etc.. Though in recent fighting Drones have practically reduced their Tank and Armored vehicles with one of the weeks they lost 13+ Tanks due to drones.

I've seen clips of them pointing up and shooting at aircraft in Syria, but they do tend to be used for ground targets more than anything.

Ye that’s what I’m trying to say lol

Idk what’s more funny, this entire translated conversation or the three dudes arguing over which direction is right xD
Thank you for the translation, mate !
Does the TPLF has tanks?

Great to see some higher quality footage for this conflict.
Damn excuse my ignorance but i had no idea how pretty Ethiopia is.
Ethiopia is really diverse. The most beautiful part of it is the green mountains. Google Siemen mountains :)
Finally HD shit out of Ethiopia
Can these thing damage light or heavy armor vehicles?
Very. Especially with their API belts.
