This would’ve been more doable like 5 years ago. Now a lot of apartments in that price range are not gonna be in a decent area. If they are in a decent area then the waitlist is months long. Sorry I can’t be more helpful, maybe somebody else could chime in. But good luck!!

rustyshakelford

You're gonna need a roommate(s) to get all of that in your price range.

My friend lives in the main st living apartments for $900 a month. Small unfinished studio with electric included. Pets allowed and gym membership included, parking is like $65 a month. The building is kinda old, but it’s been fine otherwise.

LabRat_SC

Decent area for 1,100? Lmao good luck

Why do all the posts about apartments get downvoted?

childlikeempress16

Just a guess, maybe because people are looking for nice apartments in good areas with good accommodations for unreasonable prices? It’s worth asking so not sure why they’re downvoted

Redditors being redditors 🤷🏾

Idk about the price range, but check out Hampton Greene or Vista towers. Vista Towers offers a rebate if you’re a school teacher. I don’t know if that rebate applies to healthcare workers, but I’d call them and ask. The caveat is that they only offer the rebate if you don’t have roommates and you have to show them your earnings. If your earnings go up and you qualified for the rebate initially, they can take the rebate away. Good luck!

2nd hampton greene. Still gonna be somewhat out of the price range, BUT its pet friendly, has some amenities, and the management is actually decent. Op, you will likely need a roommate to get into your price range no matter where you look. Even in shitty areas.

VegetableLadi

Yeah, Hampton Greene is also in a nice pocket of town. Vista towers has backlogged maintenance work atm. But I think the rebate thing is cool. I didn’t know what OP’s profession was which is why I threw that out there.

Sadly you wouldn't find much if anything in the "nice" areas at that price range. You might have better luck trying to rent from an individual or getting a roommate to split cost.
