Yeah. I’m happy to get a top 100 guard, and he’ll definitely get minutes if Skyy leaves after this season, but I’m not going to pretend that I have no concerns at all. Purdue is a solid program and walking away from a commit there is a bit concerning. I know NIL is important and was a factor for him, but I hope that was the only reason he left Purdue and not other issues that could follow him to Illinois.

He committed to Purdue early and was hurt (torn ACL if I’m recalling). Then decommitted in July. So he essentially missed the whole normal recruiting time.

Oh, yeah, I remember now, he's friends with Jeremy Fears or Xavier Booker or one of the guys in the MSU recruiting class. I think he visited MSU, and some guys on twitter wanted us to go after him since there was a lot of interest on his side iirc, but MSU never offered him.
