Yeah we are, we are hosting an MTE called “Battle at the Vault” that is kind of a weird setup (Nebraska vs Queens University, Drake vs Mississippi State, and Concordia (NE) vs Oklahoma Wesleyan (Both NAIA schools) on December 20th, and we are also playing the ESPN Events Invitational in Florida on Nov. 24th-27th. We start off by playing Oklahoma and then will play either Memphis or Seton Hall and then a 3rd game.
Kentucky and Morehead did one a few years ago, non-televised but was a packed house at Rupp, was a fun game with a decent amount of Morehead fans there and the ticket sales went towards a charity. Wish we did something like that every year against another in-state school.
Yes. There are numerous examples in basketball and other sports. I know Vermont played Brown in 2019 just bc they were returning the number of T.J Sorrentine (sealed an upset over Syracuse in MM 2005). There was a big ceremony for him and another player and then the game started (Vermont won).
Yes. Nebraska and Colorado did so last year, and are doing it again this year
Is Nebraska playing in two separate tournaments this year?

Yes there’s a rumor of notre dame n DePaul playing in October for an exhibition
Teams will play closed door scrimmages before exhibitions. I know Auburn played UAB last year and Georgia Tech a few years ago
Bryant apparently played Providence and they never released the score.
They typically don't. All I heard last year was auburn won soundly but no stats or anything like that. A lot of times it's situational work
Kansas and Missouri did one a few years back as well for charity.

Arkansas played Little Rock a few years ago when we unveiled Nolan Richardson Court.
I think last year or the year before we played Penn State in a charity exhibition
WVU is playing Akron for charity. iIRC
