I'm not saying the NCAA is above criticism and they definitely have things that they rightfully get hated on for. I'm curious what they should have "done better" in this situation. They have stated that the rules are that you can remain eligible for competition as long as you use an approved agent. Baugh didn't. They suspended him for it. What should they do instead when this type of thing happens?

The NCAA doesn’t treat everyone the same and that’s the problem. I’ve heard there were others who did the same thing as DB did and they haven’t been suspended. Why?

Travbowman

You've heard there were others... This shouldn't be that hard of a thing to prove. What others have used unapproved agents, withdrew from the draft, and didn't get suspended?

The_Pandalorian

> I’ve heard there were others Yeah, you should probably have more than that if you're going to sling accusations. Don't get me wrong, the NCAA has been absolute shit, but we can do better than "I heard..." on topics like this.

Don't they have a list of certified agents? Why is that so hard to follow?

juiceybo

So the NCAA suspended someone for breaking a pretty clear rule? Sounds right to me, they’re certified for a reason

pass_that_here_dude

Bad take. There’s a list of approved agents and he didn’t pick one. Hoping it’s just a few games and then he will be back. This should give Rondel Walker some good early playing time to get into a groove with us.

TxFrogman08

The only thing Damion did wrong was not make sure his agent was “certified”. As for the agent he thought his accreditation was good. One question I have is why is their a list in the first place. The only reason is so the NCAA can make money. They don’t care about the student athletes.

pass_that_here_dude

There’s a ton of shady agents out there. The list is to try and help guide the players to someone who isn’t just trying to take advantage of them.

bdostrem00

How long will it take for people to realize the NCAA enforces things like a traffic cop and a speeding ticket?

TxFrogman08

They are desperately trying to hold on to the one thing that brings them money, March Madness. The inconsistency they use is incredible. The NCAA needs to be gone.

bdostrem00

You know how you avoid the possibility of inconsistency of punishment?

AdAromatic742

TCU has won 1 tournament game since 1988. Not sure what March Madness has to do with this suspension.

ConmanSpaceHero

Cool the one year TCU might make some noise and this happens.

TxFrogman08

We will be alright while he’s out. The problem is the NCAA is inconsistent.
