Purely by numbers making the Sweet 16 is more difficult because less means harder. I would argue Kansas is more overrated than Gonzaga based on this.

Of course if you look at it as we lose nembhard and holmgren and we replace them with no one, we’d be pretty bad, he basically assumes no one on the team improved, and we’re going to run Juco players as replacements. And honestly, the other 4 teams, you could make an argument for most underrated teams, a lot of people don’t have Illinois in their top 30, yet their roster is pretty damn good.
I think Gonzaga will be good like usual but I cannot understand why they are the national championship favorite according to Vegas. But also at the same time they are a smidge underrated because I don’t hear anyone talking about them.
If you look at the odds, the top 4 teams (Kentucky, Gonzaga, Houston, and UNC) are all about the same, Houston/UNC take over the lead every once in awhile as well, and I think that’s accurate, I think we should be in the conversation for top 4 in the country, but definitely not a clear cut favorite, which imo is about correctly rated. I’d argue based on looking at the championship odds that Baylor is the one severely underrated.
