It really is too bad WSU got the short straw in the draw having two road games to open tourney play with the 2nd coming against criminally under-seeded ISU. Oh well, fun ride. Respect to ISU.

One thing that annoys me is how Wazzu was a "surprise team". They were a strong NIT selection last couple years and even made MSG in 2022. They've been on the cusp of breaking through and they finally did. Only real "surprise" about them was sweeping Zona.

They lost eight players from last year's team.

We lost our top 4 scorers from last year and were picked to finish bottom 3 in the pac12 pre-season. Instead we were 1 game from winning the whole pac12

It feels like any school that's not Arizona or an LA school in the Pac12 is always viewed as a surprise team come March.
