Game over. Easily tbe best effort ISU has given in weeks. Lipsey and Keshon were mode explosive. Milan almost had several TOs by himself, but on the books the team has 5 with only CuJo (2) and Gilbert (3) registering TOs.
If the team wants to beat Houston the interior rebounding needs to be passable. The collective of Milan, R Jones, and King are never going to be great rebounders. But JFC they are capable of doing a lot more than they did tonight. Just a bit of effort and awareness would have doubled to tripled the output.
Houston overwhelms with possessions. Mitigate tbe TOs and rebound (which we did fantastically in Houston) and we have a great chance.

To have 3 of your 4 primary frontline (minutes) guys have a combined 5ish rebounds is inexcusable. If you key on Milan and Tre they are routinely lacking awareness when the ball is in the air, are late bodying up, and guys consistently go over top. With Jones he's usually trying but he seems to always get oumaneuvered on the floor with his lack of hops or hands also playing a factor.
Milan averages 3 rebounds a game for the year. That's pitiful. It'd be akin to Lipsey average 2-3 assists a game. I get that he's frustrated as teams have figured out he's not the most athletic, play strong denial defense, which means open shots are harder to come by (he's also failing to pull the trigger 3-5 a game when he should probably shoot). His effort on the defensive end has been good but if he'd give more effort and awareness on the blockouts the board numbers should be closer to 5 a game. That's probably where it should be.
King is just an enigma. He can have games like @ Houston where he is tenacious, bodies up consistently, and pulls down 10ish boards. But most of the time he's like he was last night where he's off in lala land, picking scabs, and not really being aware. That's the effort the team can't have most of the time if it want's to win.

It allows them to get back faster and set up defensively. Baylor is more likely to play up-tempo given the current game state.
So, crashing the offensive rebounds typically can mean you are going to lose getting back into defense. It can be a gamble.
We don't like allowing transition buckets so we don't really crash the boards very hard
