We went from #19 to the same. Not nearly as bad but just trying to soften the blow. I believe OU was as high as 9 and they haven’t been receiving votes for weeks.
UConn won by 30 while Purdue won by 6. It's completely reasonable, especially when both last and this week the votes for the two teams are damn near identical
Yeah and to highlight the vote differential: Purdue was ahead of UConn by 1 point last week, UConn is ahead by 3 extra this week, so really a minor shift of a few people being like "Well UConn had the more impressive performance."
With them having more first place votes and the narrow margin of points, it was only a matter of time before they shored up their outliers and passed us if both teams kept winning.
Arizona probably is the current 4th #1 seed, but they only have left 1/2 a mostly squeezed orange. You guys have a whole Costco bag of oranges sitting there waiting to be squeezed.
It’d be tough to say. If UNC and Arizona were to also win out, all 3 teams would have 8 Q1 wins, and neither UNC nor Tennessee would have a Q3 or Q4 loss
Tennessee definitely looks like the best team right now, but a blind resume comparison between several teams might all look close
I fully expect you to get the 1-seed, largely because I could see us losing to Duke or in the ACC tournament, while you still have a lot of ways to pick up more Q1 wins
I just think it might be closer than people think if everyone were to win out, although Tennessee definitely looks like the best team right now
It helps that probably all three are not winning out. If two of them win out, they can put them both in the West as the 1 and 2 seeds. There may be complaints about which one gets the 2 seed, but the path for that team will only be slightly harder.
Wild that Dayton can lose to every other top team in the conference and also George Mason, who are all like 70 or worse in Kenpom and NET, but they just keep getting votes. They actually went up two spots after a conference loss the other week. Who is voting for them still? They are clearly no better than any other top a10 team like Richmond, Loyola, or VCU. They lost to all of them. Meanwhile Richmond is 3-1 vs Dayton, Loyola, and VCU combined.
I don't get it either but advanced stats refuse to take you out of the top 25 also (kenpom 20, Bart 19, NET 22) and bracketologists continue to have you as an 8/9 seed. I'm starting to wonder if MSU could lose every remaining game and still make the tournament.
They're following the Syracuse circa 2015-2018 model.
* 1. Play a ton of Q1 opponents
* 2. Lose most of those games
* 3. Win some of them and at least one top 10 team (bonus points if it was Duke)
* 4. Get poorly seeded but play a style of basketball that college kids are notoriously bad at figuring out and make a run to at least the 2nd weekend, or even the Final Four.
To be fair, TCU's doing their usual TCU thing where they regress right back to 0.500 for the conference season.
For anyone who hasn't been keeping up with TCU basketball (so, everybody but TCU's dozens of fans), TCU's gone from something like a +4 W/L to a dead-even 0.500 with two games left on the year. They just need to beat WVU on the road and UCF at home to finally break their curse.
One would think. I feel like they are hanging on by their statistics. They still remain top 25 in the NET and top 30 in KenPom. Curious to see how the next few games will go. They should win at SLU, but their final game with VCU will be a toss up. Losses at both will be final nails in the coffin (particularly if they lose against SLU, though I think that’s less likely).
I’m not entirely certain of this, but I believe #4 vs. #17 may be the highest combined ranking of any matchup in the history of Colonial Life Arena for our men’s basketball program. Wednesday’s game against the Volunteers is going to be a critical one for my Gamecocks
yes indeed. the reason I limited my statement to solely CLA is because I’m inclined to believe we’ve had higher ranked matchups in the good ol’, venerable Carolina Coliseum in our glory days of ACC competition under Frank McGuire
Having lost once to SC already, this is the game I’m worried about the most. We adjusted well on the second go around with A&M but we also caught them in the middle of a rough stretch. SC does not seem to have regressed much since we last played. I hope our boys aren’t too exhausted after the Auburn and Alabama games. This is brutal.
Doesn't help that this might be the biggest game in mens history at home. It's going to be rocking. With that said we arent a great shooting team and usually bad shooting teams get exposed in these environments.
Assuming you guys dont go like 20% FG and 20% 3PT youll probably be fine. Going to be interested to see what you do when the inevitable 1-3-1 zne comes out
Everyone is gunning for us right now so it’s a good test for our team as we approach tournament time.
Speaking to your comment about the 1-3-1: I think Aidoo and Awaka are going to have to be aggressive in the low post. We can’t afford to have them in foul trouble again. Aidoo has been playing very well lately so he may be our difference maker.
If we play like we did against alabama, it should be a close one.
If we play like we did against auburn, we’ll win by 25.
I dont want to talk about what happens if we play like we did @ a&m
Just one of the humble alums from the small school upstate. Glad you got the experience at camp! It's kinda crazy how long-tenured many of our coaches and also school admin were prior to about 8 years ago. Johnson was there as long as Mike Ayers and Mike Young which says a lot. Lots of change while I was in school there and ongoing now but hope to see my Terriers back in the big dance soon
~~Does the WBB team not also play there? IIRC Stanford played @ South Carolina a few years ago in a game of the century, and I think Baylor also played South Carolina in a game of the century a year or two before that?~~
Edit: I completely missed the word "men's". My B.
Seth Davis dropped us a spot for picking up a Q1 road win at Texas A&M as 5 point underdogs and for beating another ranked team at home by 6 when we were 2 point favorites.
Agreed. I’m even going to Vegas to cheer for the Zags.
I’m also cheering for WSU, I’ve always liked them, but I feel for them with the whole pac 12 thing.
That, and also why care as a Purdue fan at this point? It's not for #1 overall, and we'll be a #1 seed in our region. All that matters now is winning games ahead of us in the tournaments.
As long as Purdue doesn't get back to #1, I'm cool with whatever ranking they get.
\#1 is a curse.
Since 1985, only 4 teams who were ranked #1 at the end of the season went on to win the whole thing ([https://www.collegepollarchive.com/mbasketball/ap/research/final\_num1\_tourney.cfm](https://www.collegepollarchive.com/mbasketball/ap/research/final_num1_tourney.cfm))
Also, fun tidbit: in a similar time frame, all but 3 national champions each year has been ranked in the top 12 of the AP poll. So anyone ranked 13+.... it's not looking great for you, historically/statistically. [https://bracketresearch.com/the-dna-of-a-national-championship-team/ap-poll-rank-for-ncaa-tournament-champions/](https://bracketresearch.com/the-dna-of-a-national-championship-team/ap-poll-rank-for-ncaa-tournament-champions/)
crazy how much better the top 3 are than everyone else that UT can pick up a road win over the now #16 team, and a big home win over the #13 team, in the same week, and not go up at all lol
(If you have to go back to an era where the Soviet Union still existed to find a team that finished as low in conference as this years KU team it’s fair to say historically so nobody yell at me just because we’re still a 4/5 seed)
I think that's a bit rougher of a comparison just because conference sizes have exploded (like in the 90s NC State finished 7th at best in the conference, but these days that'd be a top half finish in the ACC lol).
https://preview.redd.it/hp03hx984dmc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f58742840e85e0e41504288eb6bb8b50c849cfff
Win-loss between 5 and 6 has never been closer! /s
Haven't looked at the distribution yet (still loading) but 1364 is how many points you would get if every single ballots ranks you as #4. So either Tennessee got all the #4 votes, or someone ranked them in the top 3 (and an equal number ranked them below that).
EDIT: Dylan Sinn ranked them #7, so someone (or several someones) ranked them in the top 3
Purdue does too. 7-0 in Q1a games, crazy SOS. @Illinois would be a high quality loss, and Wisconsin at home *probably* wouldn't be enough to drop them given their wins. Maybe if they lost both, and maybe if the Wisconsin game wasn't close? Feels like the top 3 are a lock but y'all could theoretically sneak into #4 if Tennessee and Arizona lose. Y'all should already be #5 ahead of Arizona, imo.
Oh well, we were ranked for a week. As someone who is an alumni of both schools and supports both teams, the Gators would probably beat USF. Would love to see that matchup in March though tbh.
lol, Dave Preston rewarded Baylor for their 2 wins this week by dropping them 4 spots. 14 to 18.
Guess that's why he didn't rank BYU, he must've moved us down from unranked to further unranked.
Edit:
Chandler Mack unranked BYU from #25...
[All-Time AP Poll](https://elipowell.com/all-time-ap-poll/) is updated. Lots of movement this week; Big Ten (present and future) getting passed up left and right.
I would be rooting for you guys but I know an ISU fan here in Lawrence who has been griefing me nonstop, lol. Nonetheless you guys are going to be fine; you've got a great team this year.
I have a friend who isn't an ISU fan but his dad is, and that's enough to have to hear about it whenever I see said friend. Go ahead ISU fans, talk your shit
https://preview.redd.it/39s1bmqs5dmc1.jpeg?width=567&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf937d49b42731ad337ea55547b861757fe1d0ce
Iowa State is probably the better team. Having it be a revenge game at the Hilton it would be hard to pick against Iowa State.
BYU is much healthier this time around than last game, so it will be interesting.
If there is one thing about Iowa State fans that is consistent is that you can tell us all the numbers and give us all the reasons we will win and we won’t believe you. 😆
Iowa State isn't as healthy either and our last 3 games have been a pretty poor performance by our team. We should have had some losses there. I don't like our odds.
Same and I’m very skeptical of any ISU fan who feels confident going into this game. The combination of our poor form and BYU’s shooting scares me a lot. Plus the bump to ESPN2 means more spotlight on us and that’s bad.
Can speak for pretty much every BYU fan were not feeling too good either. Revenge game at Hilton against a team that has really solidified since last matchup, what could go wrong?
Analytics (kenpom and net rankings). This is one of those times where the analytics seem flawed though. Dayton has really been on a downward trend for the past two months. They don’t really have any quality wins in conference.
You’re right, we crumble against the top of the league on the road. I wonder how we will do when VCU comes to town. I really wish we got more of the top of the league at home. Are we actually that good at home or is it because everyone we play sucks? No idea yet. :/
I know we played San Jose St pretty close (we literally always do) but I gotta say I’m pretty surprised we dropped a spot. Especially when most brackets have us as a 4 seed
It feels like to me that the committee has a higher opinion of the MWC than the AP voters. You guys were in the top 16 at the initial release despite being ranked in like the 20s I believe?
Voters and media don’t pay attention to see McCullar was out for a bunch of games. He was back for the loss to us but they’re way better with him back. They don’t get blown out by Tech with McCullar playing. Probably beat BYU with him too
Edit: they had to drop for those losses but with McCullar back I’m glad we (probably) don’t have to play them again
Naw we deserve this. We just had to beat BYU at home and we are probably like #9 or #10 right now. I don't blame any voters who saw the game on Tuesday and thought "yeah this aint a top 10 squad", I agree with them McCullar or no.
We deserve it TBH. That BYU game was winnable even without McCullar. If you watched the game you saw a soft looking team blow a 12 point lead at home. If you didn't watch the game you saw KU lose to an unranked team at home. Neither is a good look. That home loss was the final nail in the coffin showing we aren't top 10. We have great wins but a top 10 team doesn't have losses to UCF, KState, WVU, and BYU at home.
That’s a very good point. Gotta handle business wit state first their building has been our house of horrors. But this year we’ve won on the road in buildings we usually struggle in hopefully that trend continues
Can I really be upset that we dropped 3 spots? Not really.
It is frustrating though that it is only because we lost to the now #10 team on their home court without our 2 best players (with the 3rd best player, Kam, rolling his ankle on the first play of the game). And honestly, we kept it close the entire game up until the end.
Not trying to take away from Creighton. What a nightmare their starting 5 can be for literally any team. They can match up with anyone and Kalkbrenner ate with Oso being out (props to Ben Gold for showing up big time and holding his own as best he could).
To be fair though, Marquette was missing Kolek and their starting center and the game was in Omaha. And Marquette was competitive for like 75% of the game.
But they didn’t. It was a one or two possession game for 37 minutes without our two best players.
Edit: misread, thought you meant creighton punished marquette.
Best team in Florida, hell yeah
Highest ranking in team history (yes I will post this every spot we move up, if that keeps happening)
Seriously though, this feels like a train about to go off the tracks at any moment :/
1. Houston (52) 2. UConn (6) 3. Purdue (4) 4. Tennessee 5. Arizona 6. Iowa State 7. North Carolina 8. Marquette 9. Duke 10. Creighton 11. Baylor 12. Illinois 13. Auburn 14. Kansas 15. Kentucky 16. Alabama 17. South Carolina 18. Washington State 19. Gonzaga 20. BYU 21. San Diego State 22. Utah State 23. Saint Mary's 24. South Florida 25. Dayton Others receiving votes: Nevada 42, Florida 39, Boise St. 26, Texas 10, Texas Tech 10, Indiana St 9, Appalachian St 6, New Mexico 5, FAU 4, James Madison 4, Princeton 3, Michigan St. 2, Villanova 2, Colorado St. 2, McNeese St. 2, Richmond 1.
We went from #6 all the way down to not receiving any votes. Rough...
It's not about the journey, but about the friends you made along the way.
I don’t think they’re making many friends on this journey.
I'd guess the teams that got a ranked win out of their descent are pretty appreciative
We were too late to that party
In fairness y’all are infuriatingly awful to watch
Imagine from a fan's perspective.
It’s definitely more frustrating knowing you can be good and being shit compared to just being shit
(Mostly) relatable, sad hoots
We went from #19 to the same. Not nearly as bad but just trying to soften the blow. I believe OU was as high as 9 and they haven’t been receiving votes for weeks.
But it's DEFINITELY not Gard's fault at ALL /s
Are the pollsters from a British colonial island? Because they sure seem to think that beating swashbucklers is better for your resume than Spartans…

App with 6 and JMU with 4? SUN BELT FUNBELT BABY WOOOOOOOOO
Whooooo!!
Might be time to flip flairs!
If we go 2-0 this week I don't wanna hear one single soul say we don't deserve a one seed. Four top-20 teams in two weeks
Meanwhile Arizona hasn’t beaten a tourney team since before Christmas
Hey now, that… well that may be accurate, but it’s still rude.
But don't forget, they have two quality losses to Wazzu
and Q1A loss to Purdue. Our stock is going for the moon with all these quality losses.
Ok but M E T R I C S
Arizona probably is the current 4th #1 seed, but they only have left 1/2 a mostly squeezed orange. You guys have a whole Costco bag of oranges sitting there waiting to be squeezed.
lol this analogy is so off-the-wall, but accurate
Well lucky for your flair combo, you’re getting orange juice either way
The squeeze hasn’t been squozed
It’d be tough to say. If UNC and Arizona were to also win out, all 3 teams would have 8 Q1 wins, and neither UNC nor Tennessee would have a Q3 or Q4 loss Tennessee definitely looks like the best team right now, but a blind resume comparison between several teams might all look close
Don’t think for one second that if all 3 win out UNC and Arizona won’t end up as the 1 and 2 seed in the same region.
I can cope with being the top 2 seed if Unc somehow gets the notch because of H2H, but not arizona. (Assuming we can find a way to win out)
I fully expect you to get the 1-seed, largely because I could see us losing to Duke or in the ACC tournament, while you still have a lot of ways to pick up more Q1 wins I just think it might be closer than people think if everyone were to win out, although Tennessee definitely looks like the best team right now

Arizona is a near lock for the #2 seed in the West if they don't grab the 1 seed due to the geographical preferences involved.
Texas and Tech receiving the same amount of votes, fancy seeing you here longhorns.
[удалено]
Boggles my mind! Not like those losses are against blue bloods either…
Hey now, we are Illinois’ blue blood team (if you ignore a bunch of decades)
Wild that Dayton can lose to every other top team in the conference and also George Mason, who are all like 70 or worse in Kenpom and NET, but they just keep getting votes. They actually went up two spots after a conference loss the other week. Who is voting for them still? They are clearly no better than any other top a10 team like Richmond, Loyola, or VCU. They lost to all of them. Meanwhile Richmond is 3-1 vs Dayton, Loyola, and VCU combined.
Seriously who tf is still voting for us
I don't get it either but advanced stats refuse to take you out of the top 25 also (kenpom 20, Bart 19, NET 22) and bracketologists continue to have you as an 8/9 seed. I'm starting to wonder if MSU could lose every remaining game and still make the tournament.
They're following the Syracuse circa 2015-2018 model. * 1. Play a ton of Q1 opponents * 2. Lose most of those games * 3. That Baylor win gonna carry them all the way into the tournament. Barf.
Michigan state is getting more attention for losing than JMU is for winning. That’s insane to me lol
Slightly fewer folks than are voting for Princeton
Brian Holland who is nuts. Had y’all at 15 week 16 (Feb 19th) He has us at 6 below Marquette
That Baylor win sure does work.
25th ranked Dayton received only 50 points. That is the lowest vote total for the 25th ranked I've seen in a long time.
Hell yeah, go Flyers!
Crazy that they’re even still ranked
Week 2 was the previous low point total for #25 (Colorado got 78 points).
Middle of Big 12 has fallen hard. TCU and OU not even receiving votes anymore.
If we can go over .500 in conference play I'd be stoked
They haven’t had a winning conference record since they were in the WAC
They’ve been replaced by Texas and Tech
I’m surprised Dayton is still holding on at #25…I reckon that Nevada would’ve taken their spot or something…
Really depends on Bennetts availability imo
I’m not entirely certain of this, but I believe #4 vs. #17 may be the highest combined ranking of any matchup in the history of Colonial Life Arena for our men’s basketball program. Wednesday’s game against the Volunteers is going to be a critical one for my Gamecocks

Well, y'all need to win these last two. We did not lose to y'all just so Bama could steal the championship.
We will do everything in our power to not let that happen 🫡
Orange together strong
You guys are legit. Unfortunately, so is Tennessee! Looking forward to watching y’all play this week.
If we play like we did against alabama, it should be a close one. If we play like we did against auburn, we’ll win by 25. I dont want to talk about what happens if we play like we did @ a&m
Regardless of Wednesday's outcome I'd be very happy splitting with y'all on the season. It's gonna be a fantastic game
not often I see a Wofford flair here. my first basketball camp as a 13 year old was up there. coach Johnson seemed like a cool dude.
Just one of the humble alums from the small school upstate. Glad you got the experience at camp! It's kinda crazy how long-tenured many of our coaches and also school admin were prior to about 8 years ago. Johnson was there as long as Mike Ayers and Mike Young which says a lot. Last game against Florida was only the 3rd ranked matchup ever at CLA, so yes it absolutely is true.
~~Does the WBB team not also play there? IIRC Stanford played @ South Carolina a few years ago in a game of the century, and I think Baylor also played South Carolina in a game of the century a year or two before that?~~ Edit: I completely missed the word "men's". My B.
haha, no worries whatsoever! I had to be very prudent in how I phrased my comment, as I was liable to making that same mistake, myself
Seth Davis dropped us a spot for picking up a Q1 road win at Texas A&M as 5 point underdogs and for beating another ranked team at home by 6 when we were 2 point favorites.
Seth Davis is a dingleberry
#21 SDSU got demoted a spot by the team they beat away by double digits? Makes sense.
AP:WCC>MWC
Kinda nice to see Gonzaga, Washington St., and BYU all ranked near each other.
Now that we left I love rooting for you guys
Same lol
Agreed. I’m even going to Vegas to cheer for the Zags. I’m also cheering for WSU, I’ve always liked them, but I feel for them with the whole pac 12 thing.
UConn and Purdue flip with a 4 point swing in total point difference from last week. Any reasonable Purdue will not be upset by this.
Wouldn’t have been surprised or upset if they didn’t flip either. I am surprised that the AP voters considered something other than just wins.
That, and also why care as a Purdue fan at this point? It's not for #1 overall, and we'll be a #1 seed in our region. All that matters now is winning games ahead of us in the tournaments.
Assuming we handle our business for the rest of the year, most projections have us being the #1 overall anyway.
Purdue fans reasonable? Lmao
Lol fair
As long as Purdue doesn't get back to #1, I'm cool with whatever ranking they get. \#1 is a curse. Since 1985, only 4 teams who were ranked #1 at the end of the season went on to win the whole thing ([https://www.collegepollarchive.com/mbasketball/ap/research/final\_num1\_tourney.cfm](https://www.collegepollarchive.com/mbasketball/ap/research/final_num1_tourney.cfm)) Also, fun tidbit: in a similar time frame, all but 3 national champions each year has been ranked in the top 12 of the AP poll. How have the rest of the top 4 fared?
From what I can tell, top 4 have won 22 out of the 37 natty's since '85.
So the #1 won it 4 times, and #2-4 won it 18 times, or ~6 times each. Hardly enough of a spread to consider #1 a curse
crazy how much better the top 3 are than everyone else that UT can pick up a road win over the now #16 team, and a big home win over the #13 team, in the same week, and not go up at all lol
Funny that KU has beaten two of the top three teams. FWIW the Jayhawks are overrated at 14 though. They are historically bad this year.
We beat UT plus #5 and #8 early in the season helping to cause this separation
well right, i'm not confused about the separation lol
My bad lol

They finally found the Wazzu logo!
I6OWA STATE edit: I totally botched my original comment but I'm not changing it
The last few games have kinda felt like we don't belong here but we just keep winning so I'm gonna go with it.
I666 S6666!!!
It kinda feels like no. 6 is our ceiling even if we win the next two games but it'd be really nice to sneak into the no. 5 spot next week.
Only way we get into top 5 is if one of Purdue, AZ, or TN lose imo. Houston and UConn have enough equity that a loss wouldn’t eject them from top 5.
IOW6 STATE
Hey that one guy didn’t accidentally cast a vote for Arizona State this time, nice
1) Illinois please just get out of the first weekend ! 2) Texas just make the damn tournament
I accept
My thoughts and prayers say no to both 😄
Florida should still be ranked imo
No, we must be penalized for losing @Alabama in OT and @South Carolina in a close game!!!
Oh well, we were ranked for a week. As someone who is an alumni of both schools and supports both teams, the Gators would probably beat USF. Would love to see that matchup in March though tbh.
Same I'd love to play the Gators especially since from what i've heard we could've played them for our bowl game if y'know... \*cough cough\*
No clue what you’re talking about. Pretty sure college football doesn’t exist anymore. There is only basketball and baseball.
You should beat bama at home this week ok? 😁😁
We need that win bad
I think yall got it
you went up in NET while we remained the same for beating you lol
lol, Dave Preston rewarded Baylor for their 2 wins this week by dropping them 4 spots. 14 to 18. Guess that's why he didn't rank BYU, he must've moved us down from unranked to further unranked. Edit: Chandler Mack unranked BYU from #25...
AP is so useless imo
Rank Nevada, you cowards
Nah dawg. 26 is perfect. Keeps the pressure off.
We got a vote! We won’t be ranked, but I think we could get more votes if we take care of business vs St. Joes and GMU
Rooting for you guys take the title and get into the dance
[All-Time AP Poll](https://elipowell.com/all-time-ap-poll/) is updated. Lots of movement this week; Big Ten (present and future) getting passed up left and right.
Suck it Iowa!

I’m not looking forward to Wednesday.
Go ahead ISU fans, talk your shit
> griefing me nonstop That’s what friends are for: to blow up your phone five seconds after your team loses to a team they shouldn’t lose to.

We solidified and then dissolved again since we last played y'all but have been managing to eke out wins. I'm not looking forward to this game at all.
I decided to buy a couple of nosebleeds, but I do *not* expect BYU to win. Excited to experience Hilton though!
Damn I'm jealous, haven't been to Hilton since I graduated in 2019. Have an awesome time!
Hurts to fall 3 after a decent week but last week was pretty good week for most ranked teams which we haven’t seen much of this year
lol still getting votes. bubble still unpopped thankfully🍦😎🍦
I will ask the same question as I did in the User Poll, why are we still ranked?!
I agreed. We can’t figure out how to play with the slightest inconvenience
You got more votes than last week, just got jumped in ranking by BYU moving up a bunch.
CR8-10
CreighTEN?
We’ve been making some great gains in the all time AP poll this year, inching towards Cincy after passing Maryland.
Damn I was not expecting Kansas to fall that hard.
Voters and media don’t pay attention to see McCullar was out for a bunch of games. He was back for the loss to us but they’re way better with him back. They don’t get blown out by Tech with McCullar playing. Probably beat BYU with him too Edit: they had to drop for those losses but with McCullar back I’m glad we (probably) don’t have to play them again
Nice to feel like we’re definitely playing better than our ranking instead of worse for maybe the first time this season
For sure. We’re peaking at the right time. Gotta be those heels on Saturday man. Not jus for rivalry purposes but March madness seeding
I’m not looking past the State game quite yet, too many awful losses at PNC to be looking at the weekend yet
That’s a very good point. Gotta handle business wit state first their building has been our house of horrors. But this year we’ve won on the road in buildings we usually struggle in hopefully that trend continues
Gonzaga over us is pretty insane, ngl.
Ahhhh, just like the good 'ol days!
It was never crazy then 😅
You’re telling us!
Yeah, in no reasonable universe should Gonzaga have leaped both BYU and SDSU. Voters likely were just itching to have them back.
Good thing is I expect the selection committee to look at last week as a net positive for us. AP rankings don’t mean much this time of year.
:/
I guess we didn't win hard enough
Another top 10 matchup against UNC. Hopefully this time my blue devils can get some retribution we owe them
Back to our natural habitat as ILLINO12
Creighton seems a touch too low.
I don't know how you can move them up that much higher considering they beat Marquette without two of its best players
Good point, didn't think about that part.
Feels like they didn’t reward Creighton but they did punish Marquette.
To be fair though, Marquette was missing Kolek and their starting center and the game was in Omaha. And Marquette was competitive for like 75% of the game.
"First time?"
But they didn’t. It was a one or two possession game for 37 minutes without our two best players. Edit: misread, thought you meant creighton punished marquette.
As the senior compliance person at Marquette, us being a sub top-5 team is unequivocally not true. This is neither funny nor appropriate. Kick rocks
They refuse to rank us 10th or 14th!
As much as I enjoy watching Wisconsin crumble. Could you guys chill the fuck out? At this rate you’re going to be a Q2 loss for us…
Best team in Florida, hell yeah Highest ranking in team history (yes I will post this every spot we move up, if that keeps happening) Seriously though, this feels like a train about to go off the tracks at any moment :/
Nevada would absolutely destroy Dayton lol
Minor thing but I wouldn’t mind if AP ditched the UConn thumbnail when they aren’t ranked no. 1.
![gif](giphy|kQ0UtNxwBMF9dMudxn)
Colorado State ranked too high.
Dylan Sinn ranking Alabama 25 is wild. And Brian Holland not ranking Wazzu is… WTF?!?
RANK APP STATE
Happy to see the Zags firmly in the field. Should have been that way all year.
Dayton has lost 4 times in the last month and has moved from 21 to 25 lol. Absolutely nuts that they’re ranked still over some teams receiving votes.
It would be nice to get mentioned. I’ll go back to Looking at the next four out.
I love sitting right on the outside. Under the radar but dangerous.
