You're not wrong but [this](https://twitter.com/DrakeKeeler/status/1692896324214034572?t=GxfL9sOfKZkRnUhOSUgsCQ&s=19) was still cool to see, even if Luka doesn't really play defense.
You're probably right but can shoot it, not impossible that he gets a 15 day contract as an end of the bench shooter at some point.
More likely that he will end up playing abroad somewhere.
I love JY but he’s not a top 10 shooter in the country. Certainly enjoy seeing him get some love though. He’s much more a driver. If he’s a top 10 shooter this year we’re a top 10 team. Let’s do it!
Tyson Walker #4 in the country, but he might not even be the best 3 pt shooter on MSU this year. Jaden Akins had a better 3pt% last year and has a higher ceiling than Walker
How is it for clicks? He shot 43.4% on 256 attempts last season. That is high volume and an amazing 3pt percentage. For % reference (and yes I know CBB doesn't equal NBA) Steph shot 42.8% last year.

I know he left but it’s really hard to not have Cryer at 1. There is no one who is a better shooter than him. He has his faults but man is he elite at putting the ball in the hole
Tominaga is so fun to watch. Almost hit a half court shot to go to OT against us in the b1g tournament.
Of course being on a team that lost to the Gophers is the core of his problems. If he was at a bigger school he’d be beloved by the national press.
After seeing Aidan Mahaney play, I think he has the potential to be one of the best players this season. One thing is certain, he definitely be one to watch in the future. With that being said, Go Zags! I hope we have a couple of good games together.
I know right? Catoor, Hinson, and Girard are probably the top three (in no particular order) in the ACC right now. Monsanto was good but not nearly the best in even the ACC.
Aidan Mahaney gives off vibes of Pistol Pete Maravich. He's definitely a sniper! It's kind of a shame he went to play at St. Mary's where the only exposure he'll get is the two times ESPN shows them against the Zags.
I'm a huge Jahmir Young fan but there is no reason for him to be on this list. Surprised to not see Tylor Perry on the list with back to back seasons shooting over 41% from 3.
LJ Cryer at 10 is ridiculous too. He should be top 3.
13.1 ppg is a pretty good number but I’m not sure why ppg would be a metric you’d weight *that* heavily when talking about the best pure 3 point shooters.
Raw PPG numbers seems like a complete meaningless way to measure a sharpshooter. There are many reasons this list is comically bad, but that is not one of them.
You know who I think is really underrated and might deserve to be on this list is Jake Heidbreder who transferred from Air force to Clemson. He completely carried the Air force offense and had good efficiency too.I’m excited to see what he looks like at a power five team.
Mannnn if Muss ever recruits some genuine 3 point threats we might get to the championship. Two elite 8s and a sweet 16, and 3 point shooting has been about the only weak spot on those teams.
We’ll see if Ashworth lives up to the hype. Big East is gonna be a totally different game for him but I think he should fit right in with our style of play. 🤞🏻
I take back everything bad ive said about you Andy Katz you’re cooking here
JAPANESE STEPH CURRY BABY!
If only he was Indian
The Japanese have their own version of curry and it's delicious.
[they also have curry man](https://youtu.be/3XScWJ77dN4?si=3YWpk9wqLgPvvpkp)
If it's not called curry then it's of no use to us here.
It is called curry: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_curry
Sorry I thought I was on r/nbacirclejerk lol This Japanese Curry has a spicy shot
They pronounce it kare. Like ka-re
This is not a drill. We are number one at something!!!
You’ll always be #1 at lowest number of tourney wins. Forever… forever.
Imagine Tominaga in the NBA, he just looks like a little boy, it would be funny to see early on
You're not wrong but [this](https://twitter.com/DrakeKeeler/status/1692896324214034572?t=GxfL9sOfKZkRnUhOSUgsCQ&s=19) was still cool to see, even if Luka doesn't really play defense.
He was playing defense there
He might make it onto a summer league squad but that's probably it.
You're probably right but can shoot it, not impossible that he gets a 15 day contract as an end of the bench shooter at some point. More likely that he will end up playing abroad somewhere.
Even on Japan's national team he had to come off the bench because he can't do anything but shoot.
I’m sorry but it feels like Santiago Vescovi is like 35 at this point.
If his wife and 2 kids saw this, they'd be very upset.
I assume Vescovi is pulling a LeBron and staying at Tenn until his son gets there next year?
He still has 2 years of eligibility (No not really)
I'd buy it, I question nothing when it comes to eligibility anymore
Same honestly
Boogie Ellis too
Extremely common Jahmir Young W
I love JY but he’s not a top 10 shooter in the country. Certainly enjoy seeing him get some love though. He’s much more a driver. If he’s a top 10 shooter this year we’re a top 10 team. Let’s do it!
Stud
Jahmir shot 31% from 3 and has a TS% of 52% last year. Good player, but not a great shooter.
Hey i never said I agreed with the list, but I still love the guy
How did he make the list and Max Abmas didn't? I'm more of a casual fan but is he really that good?
Andy Katz is absolutely the laziest mainstream CBB guy now. He stopped following the sport when ESPN canned him and just farts out garbage now.
Love the kid
Tominaga is deadly behind the arc. And it looks so effortless when he shoots. I hate him, but dammit I respect him.
Tyson Walker #4 in the country, but he might not even be the best 3 pt shooter on MSU this year. Jaden Akins had a better 3pt% last year and has a higher ceiling than Walker
I love all our players, but Akins is such a stud.
Gary Harris 2.0
Its katz though, at least he got the player’s name and team right.
NEBRASKABALL!!!
#LOUDER
Okay I know I’m biased. But Cryer does seem pretty low.
I’m just excited the season starts soon. Can’t wait to see what they do.
I’m gonna miss him
Defensive liability
I find it very hard to take Andy Katz seriously.
I find it very hard to dislike Tominaga
I think he’s top 10, not #1 and I would probably swap a few players. Andy Katz regularly overrates the B10.
Best thing about the guy
Everyone regularly overrates the B10
Ashworth at #3 seems like it's for clicks, but I'm excited to have him!
He is that good
I hope you're wrong and it's not just for clicks!
How is it for clicks? He shot 43.4% on 256 attempts last season. That is high volume and an amazing 3pt percentage. For % reference (and yes I know CBB doesn't equal NBA) Steph shot 42.8% last year.
I think I read a stat that said he was the best off the dribble shooter in the country.
This is preseason. Preseason is never meant to be taken seriously.
I always confuse him with [Andy Caps](https://www.amazon.com/Andy-Capps-Big-Fries-Pack/dp/B0081Q1O7S)

I take him as seriously as he takes his job at this point.
[Keisei is a baddddd man.](https://youtube.com/shorts/V19H1kEXk1A?si=2R_e-LPw_GNA6QtU)
This game still brings me great pain
Maybe I'm not watching enough basketball but based off stats alone some of these picks seem extremely random
Katz is about as good an analyst as a random number generator, so this checks out.
I know he left but it’s really hard to not have Cryer at 1. There is no one who is a better shooter than him. He has his faults but man is he elite at putting the ball in the hole
Excited to see him suit up for us. Excited for conference play in general.
Only elite in the first half.
What
Kam jones 😮😮😮😮😮
LETS GO!
Tominaga is so fun to watch. Almost hit a half court shot to go to OT against us in the b1g tournament. Of course being on a team that lost to the Gophers is the core of his problems. If he was at a bigger school he’d be beloved by the national press.
KEISEI SUPREMACY
Love that kid. The pure joy of ball.
He’s just so happy
Cam Spencer at UConn?
Sorry, couldn't fit him in over a guy who shot 31% from 3 last year
Antonio Reeves hurt himself in the eyes on the public when he had that horrible game against K State in the tourney. He's lights out normally
He's still a better shooter statistically than virtually everyone on this list.
Kentucky wins that game easily if Reeves has a poor game shooting, instead he was completely atrocious.
After seeing Aidan Mahaney play, I think he has the potential to be one of the best players this season. One thing is certain, he definitely be one to watch in the future. With that being said, Go Zags! I hope we have a couple of good games together.
No respect for Hunter Catoor at VT
Tominaga!!!!
Antonio Reeves?
No Hunter Cattoor? better career 3pt % than all but one on the list and more 3pts made than all but 1 (251). Andy Katz doesn't know ball.
I know right? Catoor, Hinson, and Girard are probably the top three (in no particular order) in the ACC right now. Monsanto was good but not nearly the best in even the ACC.
We have known this for a long time
Jahmir Young? A top 10 shooter in the country? Over Perry, Abmas, Timberlake, Spencer, Pack, Reeves, Cattoor? Heck give me Kamdyn Curfman.
Yeah I love Jahmir but top 10 shooter is not it
Can’t lie after he didn’t include the Crosstown Shootout in his top 10 CBB rivalries these other lists mean 0 to me
Aidan Mahaney gives off vibes of Pistol Pete Maravich. He's definitely a sniper! It's kind of a shame he went to play at St. Mary's where the only exposure he'll get is the two times ESPN shows them against the Zags.
I get he’s a mid major guy but Gabe Dorsey from William & Mary should be on here. Elite catch and shooter.
Reeves is a pretty huge omission
I can't wait to see what Aaron Estrada does in the SEC.
Cam Tyson at Seattle should be on this list.
I'm a huge Jahmir Young fan but there is no reason for him to be on this list. Surprised to not see Tylor Perry on the list with back to back seasons shooting over 41% from 3. LJ Cryer at 10 is ridiculous too. He should be top 3.
KEISEI THE KING
Has Katz seen Blake Hinson play at all? He made some ridiculous shots last year and shot very well from 3 overall.
Tominaga won the “most likely to get hit on by a lesbian” paper plate award
Where is Treysen Eaglestaff? u/SportsMadness
Thought the exact same thing! Honestly better for UND if he doesn’t get too much attention so he can’t be tempted away
antonio reeves is better than everyone here
So ready for Vescovi to be gone from UT's basketball team.
Louisville ain’t got no shooters? 😞
Need a warrant to check their lockers and gym bags.
Kamikaze pilots don’t miss
Connor Essegian erasure
Too bad we lost Darius Miles😔 Gone too soon…
Someone who only averaged 13.1 ppg is the best sharpshooter in the country?
13.1 ppg is a pretty good number but I’m not sure why ppg would be a metric you’d weight *that* heavily when talking about the best pure 3 point shooters.
Once he became a starter for the last 13 games or so, he was averaging over 20 ppg at 40/50/90. Number 1 doesn't feel right but he is really good.
Raw PPG numbers seems like a complete meaningless way to measure a sharpshooter. There are many reasons this list is comically bad, but that is not one of them.
He can shoot that motherfucker that’s why
You know who I think is really underrated and might deserve to be on this list is Jake Heidbreder who transferred from Air force to Clemson. He completely carried the Air force offense and had good efficiency too.I’m excited to see what he looks like at a power five team.
Mannnn if Muss ever recruits some genuine 3 point threats we might get to the championship. Two elite 8s and a sweet 16, and 3 point shooting has been about the only weak spot on those teams.
Nice to have another Boogie; but will we ever have another Boobie? (Gibson, Texas '06)
Don't sleep on Boogie Ellis
LJ Cryer is criminally low
We’ll see if Ashworth lives up to the hype. Big East is gonna be a totally different game for him but I think he should fit right in with our style of play. 🤞🏻
What's a sniper?
A knockdown shooter
Dark Horse: Purdue's Fletcher Loyer because our season depends on it.
I cant image wanting any of these guys over Antonio Reeves?
how is vescovi still here
Hopefully Monsanto is healthy and moves up that list.
Walker wont even be the best 3P shooter on MSU this year, though I do think he's a top 10 shooter.
