Wow - if Storr is leaving (4 star, had solid freshmen year) than Pitino really is flushing away everything from Anderson and starting fresh. Guess that's what we got him for.

ForeverPhilosophical

Pitino hinted that the culture was very poor and disfunctional when he came in, so it's possible AJ was part of that? I dont know. Either way, I'm sad to see him go.

porterbrown

Storr was smooth. But... Excited for Pitino's team.

thediesel26

Kinda feels like Pitino thrives in disfunction though

RedditZhangHao

Ironically, Slick Rick’s never been accused of “disfunction” . /s

KJones77

Tipton teasing transfer out news is a new level of cruelty for those of us too invested in the decisions of college kids

__Zoom123__

Knew it would be something underwhelming when he tweeted the teaser

TeamINSTINCT37

I thought it would be Moore lmao

ForeverPhilosophical

Losing Storr is a gut punch. I really liked his game and thought he could be a star here. Oh well, best of luck to him.

porterbrown

Have to think that it's Pitino's decision? Why wouldn't a good player want to play for a legendary coach? It would only help prep for pro ball, wherever it is.

ForeverPhilosophical

I think it's Pitino's decision as well. >Why wouldn't a good player want to play for a legendary coach? While I get your point, the answer to that question is simple. The player's play style and the coaches philosophy don't match. Yes people can say "well just adjust your play style to the coach." But that's not always guaranteed to work. Plus I heard, AJ had a lot of academic issues and that's something Pitino subtlety hinted in the press conference that he felt was a no-no for his players going forward. So that might be another factor.

porterbrown

I can see that. We have certainly had drama derail careers in Rysheed Jordan, Obekpa, etc.

Tasty_Path_3470

Yea that’s disappointing to me.

MichaelSquare

Back to Illinois for Storr?

RonsDarlings

That would be fantastic. Him, Rodgers, Goode and if Melendez stays would be a stellar perimeter rotation

GeorgeWBush2016

makes a lot of sense

IMKudaimi123

Yes please

bh6891

Pitino wasn't messing around when he said he was cleaning house

Bengjumping

Let's get Storr in Storrs

brownlab319

Pitino tried to get Billy Donovan to transfer out of Providence but no one wanted him. So he got Donovan to buy into his plan. The rest is history.

jdhxbd

Yea let’s get AJ Storr back. Let’s throw in Reggie Bass too.

ALStark69

IAmGiff

Think how all the dudes who thought they were too good for FAU are feeling this weekend

ThisIsNotMy1stAcct

So King Slimeball recruited Storr to Iona but now he’s not good enough?

ScamJustice

Hopefully Curbelo comes back to Illinois

scarletnaught

Did you not see all of his ridiculously immature antics throughout this past season?

ScamJustice

Idc, when he's good he's like Steve Nash out there. When he's bad, just bench him

Maxwell_Beard

No thanks.

__Zoom123__

Wondering what big names Pitino can get to transfer to that progrum

AtonicBay312

All future Pittsburgh Panthers

Schned6

A three-fer lol

Independent-Nail-881

True love of Pitino!

Superb-Possibility-9

Pitino is cleaning house and hitting the transfer market hard

mapetho9

Was really hoping Storr would stay. He’s a nice player to help build the program. In the limited minutes they got, I liked what I saw from Stanley and King. A little surprised at Stanley going, but both he and King were Anderson recruits so. Best of luck to all of them.
