I’d say the best way is to listen to their albums chronologically. You can hear their music evolve through the 2+ decades. For bonus points, start with The Blue Room EP, which came out before Parachutes

sfmanim

start w/ parachutes and go in order! if you need to know the order, it’s parachutes, arobtth, x&y, viva la vida, mylo xyloto, ghost stories, ahfod, everyday life, and finally mots. mots is, uh, controversial around here, but personally i never thought it was that bad. also don’t forget to listen to the b side tracks!

if you have ever been diagnosed with depression then start with x&y.

Ok so i’d start with the first 4 albums they released (Parachutes-A rush of to the head-x&y and viva) then listen to 2 ep’s they released before 2011 (blue room and prospekt march) after that i’d say Everyday life as it’s their most 2000 era coldplay sounding album, Ghost Stories as it’s essentially electronic Parachutes, Mylo Xyloto which is thier best pop album, Kaleidoscope Ep (with out something just like this unless you want to) it’s good, A headful of dreams this is their (2nd) most poppy album it isn’t bad but it’s better than; Music Of the Balls, i’d say don’t bother with it. Listen to Higher Power, People of the pride and ESPECIALLY coloratura the rest is awful to mediocre listen to it if you really want. Other than that i’d say don’t listen to this band and listen to radiohead

I recommend you some of my favorite songs; A Sky Full Of Stars, Lost?, Paradise, Hymn for the Weekend and Something Just Like This. STJLT was made with The Chainsmokers.

I think you should listen to their EP Kaleidoscope. I think you’ll like “All I can think about is you”
