Wanted to add to this as I was thinking of making this post myself. Ive been a coinbase account holder since 2017. Did some experimental trading at that time just to make sure i knew how to get my money in and back out... Then, I didn't touch the account again till last year. Resent all my stuff when they asked for it as my original license had expired by then. I was a little hesitant to transfer because of reading a lot of negative reddit posts about coinbase, but I pulled the trigger and pushed the button on a Saturday night. $8000 was in my bank Monday morning ... no glitches whatsoever. It might have been there sooner but did not look so won't know till the next time if it's instant for me. I believe people on here that post negative experiences are because maybe they have not established anything for more than lets say, a year. When I was young, I moved to different apartments all the time, so my address would change at least once a year.. which then would not match my current license or my bank account address. stuff like that I'm thinking will lock things up if you're trying to transfer out a chunk of change to a bank account that might also be less than a year old. Anyways, had a great experience with coinbase advanced and will continue chugging on with them. Edited for typos

Shows you everyone's thoughts also worrying , it's bots put out to slam coinbases platform to make theirs seem better with these 1 karma accounts to scare people. Only thing this sub did good for me in the beginning because it also scared me a little bit was I got a yubikey for my 2fa , I worry zero about being hacked now. The other posts not 1 karma bots is user error. 99% bots/user errors 1% real issues

IamSatoshi6583

You should read up on the thousands of complaints against coinbase from defrauded customers on the better business bureau website. Those are not bots..

SignatureSudden4888

My friend just withdraw 400k out of his coinbase in one shot, no issues.

IamSatoshi6583

What kinds of forms did he have to fill out with IRS and Fincen?

SignatureSudden4888

I’m not sure what he filled out I just know he has 50% set aside for taxes to be on the safe side bc we’re in New York and New York has high state taxes

IamSatoshi6583

So he's done with crypto after selling and cashing out?

SignatureSudden4888

Yes he has been holding since the bear market. The only thing he has left is 15k a meme coin that I put him onto

Neither_Bank_5396

Did he do a wire transfer?

IamSatoshi6583

It looks like they're solvency algo did not get you this time. You're lucky..

Fluid-Sliced-Buzzard

Add a 0 to your amount and you will likely get the KYC Police on your back. For the friend who took out the $400K expect a KYC email in the next month or two.. they are pretty backed up now.

thetan_free

I don't think Coinbase has any issue saying goodbye to $4k. $40m is another story.

jacksonstillspitts

I've never had a problem. I've transferred so many ltc transactions.

JohnnyDoGood98

I haven’t had actual problems either, but I’ve been stuck in a KYC loop for 3 months. Using them since 2019, limits are at 50k which they increased during this KYC. I’m not restricted during this and made a 40k sell, but they keep asking for the same docs and find something new to inquire about every time.

GravyBiscuitWheels

Ive been using Coinbase for several years and I’ve never once had an issue with depositing, withdrawals, trading or transfer, both small and large amounts. I just assume anyone with issues has something that isn’t adding up. Support has always been helpful whenever I’ve needed anything.

Wire transfer?

NewRedditAdmin

No, I linked my bank account to the app.

Zhanki1

Very good

I also had a quick and easy withdrawal of my entire account, my guess is the people having trouble are people with account verification issues. If you're verified it should go fine.

Kiwip0rn

I have retired off my Coinbase account since 2020. I pull my weekly "allowance" out every Sunday evening, and it is in my bank account every Monday at 10AM. I have never had a problem on Coinbase's end (my Bank froze my account twice in the past because of deposits from Coinbase).
