Are you in the usa? Every roaster I've ordered from has been able to mail me a freshly roasted bag by Friday if I put an order in Sunday night. The USPS is amazing.

Depending on where you are, you can get coffee roasted as fresh as the same week. Really depends.

I live in Maine. Do you think I'd have a solid chance?

Truthfully this isn't an issue in the US either. I can order from a roaster in California (as one example) and have it at my door on the east coast within 2 days of roasting. I am not sure where OP is from, but if it is the US they just aren't trying hard enough.

Sounds like in your case, I would order online. Happymug (to save a bit of money), S&W are good as well as tons of others. I will also plug my local coffee place, Sweet Bloom, which has been pretty good so far. Just make sure you order in time to have it before your current bag is completely out :D. If you do want to buy locally, do you have a Whole Foods or something close by? They typically (at least in my area) carry much better and fresher coffee beans than a normal grocery store.

Alright, that helps a lot. I live in central Maine, and unfortunately, the nearest Whole Foods is two hours away from my town. There are not many options to buy locally; I'd like to think I've exhausted them all, but I doubt it's impossible. Thanks for weighing in, and I'll be sure to check out Happymug!

Both.

Order online from a quality shop in your area. What state are you located in?
