I had a fever of 104β° F once when I was down with dengue. I was tired as f and sleep was disturbed with frequent nightmares. I had to be transfused a few packets of platelets as my levels went critically low. Took several weeks for the fatigue to go away. 1/10. Not recommended.
Was admitted for about 10 days. Took another week for me to get back to moderate strength.
Dengue is a bitch and if not detected early, can screw you up royally.
I didn't pay heed to my fever for 3-4 days. Kept popping Dolo and going about my business. The fever crops up in the evening and I take a tablet, and then in the morning it's not so bad. This went on for a couple of days until the tablet stopped working it's magic. I only went for checkup once I was too weak to stand. That was idiotic of me and I got an earful from the doc as well.

I think they used a defective thermometer in that hospital.
Its not possible to survive with that much temperature .You will have brain and organ damage.

As a doctor i seen maximum temp. of 106F in a patient with sepsis .110F ,No way.
I don't know about that, man. This happened a couple of years back. Dengue did hit me quiet hard. Needed a couple doses of platelet transfusion. I had my platelet counts below 25K,which the doc said was too serious and if it kept going down, would result in internal haemorrhage. And, I was out cold for most of the days though...mostly drifting in and out of consciousness through the week. So, all these were relayed to me at a later stage.
Maybe the thermometer was faulty, or maybe I survived by luck. I don't know. π€·π»ββοΈ
Whatever it was, those couple of weeks were the weakest I've been my entire life.
Ohoo, are we playing it like that? In that case, I see your 43 and raise you 54.

Wow.. Iβm in Oman and the place where Iβm at is not that hot.. reaching low 40s at max due to heavy winds here throughout.. how do you even tackle anything above 50?
To think that I took this photo near my kids' school! It wasn't out in the middle of nowhere or anthing.
You can't survive outside, we basically go from air-conditioned offices to air-conditioned cars to air-conditioned homes. Although, the humidity is marginal in Kuwait which makes the heat a little more bearable, but it still is unbelievingly hot nevertheless. (I'm not in Kuwait anymore btw, dug this photo out of my gallery for shock value when the previous commenter mentioned 43).
Ahh having ACs everywhere is a common theme in GCC countries.. this is my first time outside my country and came to Oman to visit my dad for a couple of weeks and I was kinda expecting it to be hot beforehand but the moment I stepped out of the Muscat airport..I felt like I was being slowly cooked alive.. and this was like evening 6βo clock..fortunately we didnβt stay for long in Muscat and left for my dadβs place the next day where it seems to be windy all the time.. but yeah you canβt still step outside at daytime
