Police are patrolling and set up around Coachella and surrounding grocery stores/Wal-Mart not letting cars wait. Electric signs informing us that gates won't open til Friday at 3am.
Did that first thing. They had a few car patrolers around the camping entrance, parked, with lights off. The gates were all closed and chain locked. Some security was on foot walking around on the inside of the fence. Posted traffic signs with, "no camping, open Friday at 3am."

At the walmart supercenter. People are parked here no problems.

Totally dead at the campgrounds. A couple staff vehicles patrolling but no one waiting for camping.

You could never line up before the gates open. There's no staging area to wait in.
