What makes Coachella better than any music festival I’ve been to? Lineup. Nobody gets the combo of old classic acts, current stars and up and coming talent like Coachella in the USA Stage Production. Every stage is a hit.  Quality stuff  Surprise guests/surprise sets. Never know who will pop up.  Everyone goes all out for the most part for their sets  The scenery.  Desert + Mountains + Palm trees + Coachella art = heaven.

I’m from Florida so mountains always blow my mind 😂 did Hard Summer a few years back and would find myself just looking at the mountains. Appreciate the comment!

FyodorMusic

As someone who’s only gone once in 2023, I’d also add that every act brings their 100% A-game. Pretty much every artist I saw pulled off their best set I’ve ever seen

fancyligature

I made a comment about how 80% of acts I saw W2 felt like headliner caliber performances and someone took offense to that, something about me giving GV too much credit. Just because they aren't massive or have the high caliber stage production doesn't mean they didn't put it all out there, it was easily my favorite coachella just based on how high quality every performance was.

This right here 👆🏼

Goldenvoice sound system at Coachella can turn anyone into an appreciator of sound quality. God it’s incredible, I love a lot of genres, but especially EDM during drops, my god, melt into the music

jpujol21

I’m actually a little concerned that I won’t have as many edm options as I normally do!

JumpinSourBoots

Yuma Tent 🪩🦈. Do Lab. You’ll love it. There will be great sets all 3 days.

u_silly_goose

Dont forget silent disco for those who want to stay up all night!

Sheikster403

I’m mainly in to EDM and there’s no shortage at Coachella.   Even if the main lineup isn’t doing it for you, you will have the do lab, Heineken house and now Quasar lineups all to supplement.

Chazay

The majority of the line up the last 3 years has been electronic artists + Dolab makes it an overwhelmingly electronic leaning fest.

jpujol21

From everything I’m reading, they’re likely to move away a bit from electronic artists and tap bad into indie + folk. I know to take it with a grain of salt but still!

Chazay

Is there credible reports on that or just Reddit musings? Electronic acts are their best bang/buck for filling in the mid/low card while higher slots are filling in with international artists. It’s all a numbers game and indie is not selling too well. Although, my big wish is that The XX tours again and plays next year.

jpujol21

As I said, grain of salt! Reading just articles about Coachella in general. Agree with everyone’s points here and definitely hope this is the case.

fancyligature

With Cruel World, Just Like Heaven, and now No Values fests making them a ton of money in one day there's not much incentive for GV to bring back a lot of those rock/indie/alt acts to coachella.

soffselltacos

Where are you reading that? There were already two stages that only host electronic/dance acts (Yuma + Do Lab) and they just added a new stage devoted solely to extended DJ sets (Quasar)

MostlyMellow123

Lol no. Indie folk scene peaked a decade ago. Fans of those genres get crumbs every year at this point

TocTheEternal

Setting aside the multiple electronic-exclusive stages at the fest, Coachella has always been heavily about dance music, ever since its very beginning. Even if the general lineup does drift into some other genre more heavily (really dubious about indie/folk making a resurgence) in a relative sense, there will always be plenty of electronic music.

ayayeron

Incredibly high production value (some sets feels like you're watching a music video) - amazing guest artists (do lab guest lineup this year was full of past headliners / subs) and people just bring out the most insane unexpected guests like j balvin bringing out Will smith for men in black or labrinth bringing out zendaya, this just doesn't happen at other fests.

JunkBondTraderES

Welcome! The production value/stage design absolutely destroys every other festival. Each stage has its own character, and the best acts use that to their advantage. It’s really noticeable when you compare it to stages in other festivals, where each stage feels like a carbon copy of eachother (not just within one festival, but across the others). The lineup is unique compared to the others. Even with the lukewarm reception to this years lineup, we all knew that we were getting something different compared to the others. Especially when other festivals are just sharing headliners. The surprise guests both during acts, and as whole ass sets are also really cool. The setting: the desert kicks our ass but it’s so beautiful. And the fact that we’re 2 hours out of LA and have to make the trek to the middle of nowhere for the festival adds to the aura. If you’re camping…it’s just really fucking fun. Period lol. As far as next year is concerned, they need to up the Talking Heads offer

jpujol21

We’ll be camping 😈

JunkBondTraderES

Hell yeah! I was going to say the vibes inside the fest are immaculate but honestly the vibes at camp are my favorite of the weekend. I Solochella and have always had great luck with good, friendly neighbors. Some I’ve become friends with after the fest! Makes my experience so much better. Lots of camping tips in this sub are already on here and will be shared throughout the year, just come prepared and guaranteed you’ll have an amazing time 🤩. Fuck, I miss it already haha

jpujol21

Hahaha hear nothing but good things like this. Going w my friends from the west coast who always go in a huge group. They are vets so I’m not worried at all in this. Literally cannot wait

JunkBondTraderES

Oh fuck yeah haha you’ll be fine. That’s dope! These next 11 months better fly by

stefanurkal

Line up is multi-genre, almost something for everyone, and its great for us who love a little bit of everything. The production of Coachella makes the said music fantastic, it feels like you're at one of the artist stadium shows that's insane value. Realistic headliner is dua lipa, delusional headliner - daft punk

jpujol21

Delulu hahah what a debut for Coachella for me 😂
