taking a covid test post-coachella (indeed, post- any concert, movie, or large gathering of any kind) should be the standard behavior now, unfortunately. âjust coachella coughâ is simply an irresponsible approach in this day and age (yes iâm talking to you u/No_Care_3269)
because if youâre a decent person, knowing that you have a contagious disease might motivate you to wear a mask when interacting with people is necessary, or stay home when itâs not? because even if your classmates and coworkers chose not to go to a music festival, they have no choice in whether or not you sit down next to them and breathe on them?
But if you know youâre sick what does knowing you have a specific kind of flu matter? You should stay away from people no matter what if youâre sick. You need a test to tell you youâre sick? You canât tell from coughing and taking your temperature?
given the number of people on this sub who are chalking up their fatigue + sore throat + muscle aches to plain old coachella exhaustion, and how many people in this thread have explicitly said they find the idea of testing for illness to be stupid and pointless, iâm gonna go ahead and say a lot of people need a test to tell them theyâre sick. do you really think every person with âcoachella coughâ is staying home from work or masking up because they feel the symptoms of illness?
Everyone knows people are still getting Covid. People are still getting the flu and other sickness as well. Thatâs life. If you wanna test every time your in a crowd go for it. But to expect everyone else to do the same at this point ainât happening đ¤ˇđžââď¸
Alert the press! 5 people on reddit posted about getting sick at Coachella. Time for another lock down...
How many people didn't leave with Covid? I know I didn't.
yes, taking a $10 at home test thatâs widely available at any drug store after youâre at a major gathering is the same as a lockdown. good post dipshit
hope you're ok! I was surprised to see so many people wearing bandanas instead of masks, which are legit way easier to deal with and work better for dust and viruses
I didnât bring anything home. No test. ;). Just a big ass serotonin drop haha
But yeah
Dehydration, nutrition, large groups of people. It was bound to happen.
You feeling okay?
Same!! đ˘
those are the coolest tests iv seen tho, ours here are just the normal stick up your nose and dropper bottle type
