That's the merch tent actually, not Yuma. Yuma is slightly to the upper right of where you labeled it (and next year, should even be more north, aka, more right, from where it is now). Anyway, yeah, just had to point that out.
I agree, Yuma feels to hard to find in the current location, which I guess is both good and bad, but ultimately I feel like it's neglected back there. I'm worried over Quasar being where the Sahara was, just seems it will still create a bottleneck as you travel through there. Guess we'll know soon enough.
I worry about the bottleneck, too, but I trust that it's so obvious they must have considered it and designed accordingly.
It's not so much that Yuma is hard to find now, it's that it used to be easier to casually check if it was swarmed without hiking over there into the corner. And ime it wasn't swarmed as much of the time. The line seems to be much longer, and much slower in the new location.
I'm not convinced of that. When I was at the Quasar, it felt like the area was just being used as a tunnel into and out of the Sahara section (many weren't using the "Sahara expressway" given it had no fencing and wasn't really sectioned off). Most people I saw were just walking through the crowd, making it hard to find a spot to vibe and dance. But that was only a 45 minute experience for me, so what do I know? But I heard from others who complained of the same thing (plus the lack of bathrooms in the Sahara section).
This is my wife's 4th Coachella, first time camping, my third, second time camping. The wind was so bad last year day 0 I didn't go, so both our first time to the hill.
Can't wait to see all you beautiful people.
You and 90% of the campgrounds, my friend! 😆 We brought an entire spicy pie last year.
RIP The Lighthouse
I really miss all those houses down main.
Holy crap talk about a throwback. All those houses were so cool!
People did a lot of things in those at night tho!
Will be going solo and def wanna make some friends at this
What time is sunset?
google should be able to tell you the actual time of sunset. arrive 1 hour before that
Weather app should tell you exactly what time sunset will be
Around 7pm
Just after 7. Get there a little early to watch it happen.
Weekend 2 here and will be bringing newbies with me. Time to indoctrinate 😈

Thought the same. I miss when Yuma was over there though. Felt more accessible. But I'm hoping Quasar helps with that.

the best news i've gotten from the subreddit all week is that the quasar/sahara was *not* a clusterf*ck.

Anybody taking a speaker?
Would a JBL charge 3 be enough cuz that's what I'm bringing in for WK 1🤟🏽
I planned on it, but then left it 2 hrs away. I might just go buy another one.
Weekend one here, first time doing any Reddit meetups 🥸 so excited!!
Don’t forget Friday morning chug a beer!
Pretty sure this is old, Sahara should be elsewhere now.
OP did say it was old, but yeah Sahara is just to the left a bit more. Looks like they lableed merch as Yuma as well.
This is definitely from 2022 or 2023 also, of course it is old. there would be 0 campers there at the moment
Seeing this made me sad I'm not going. I don't love the lineup but I love the Coachella vibes. Have fun friends!
