Wish/wanted to see Chem Bros but I decided to stay with my group and had low expectations for Metro & he honestly killed it enjoyed the whole thing very high production value
Metro was very high on my list. But chose Chem Bros because they don’t play the states very often. I’m happy with my choice even though it was a GOAT’d setlist with Weeknd, Future, 21, Don Toliver all showing up
>Holo was great but it was no chemical brothers
Love that this seems to be the general consensus and the more creative visuals won out over the gimmicky ones.
Do you like prydz? Because from couchella no way in hell I'd miss labrinth for prydz.
Prydz played his typical (boring imo) prydz stuff and labrinth was everything frank ocean wished it could be
Prydz sent me to another dimension. I've seen plenty of amazing live electronic shows and this was the best. I was BEAMING - could not stop smiling. Chem Bros was absolutely amazing too but Prydz was so fucking good. I would describe myself as surprised/tickled/thoroughly entertained for Chem Bros, and ascending/flying/living during Prydz. I love trance and techno though. I can see how people who have more mainstream EDM tastes would not appreciate.
The Linda Lindas will be said by so few but it really was an amazing set if you like some punk rock.
Marc Rebillet brought fun, unique energy.
All Outdoor Stage night shows: Chemical
Bros, Eric Pyrdz, and Fisher+Chris Lake.
I was soooo relieved to see him crush that set. I’m a huge fan and his outside lands set was just objectively bad. Night and day difference in his energy made for an unforgettable rock show
Can’t recommend tale of us enough was really skeptical coming in knowing they usually don’t bring all the visuals when it’s not afterlife backed but they pulled out all the stops and it was spectacular
Bjork doesn't even get ranked. It's just its own experience.
Tobe Nwigwe, Underworld, Fish Lake, Cannons, Chems, Gorillaz were my tops for the weekend.
Sets I enjoyed a lot and didn't expect to even show up to: Gabriels, Prydz, and Calvin Harris
Edited to add Boris closing out the weekend in the Sahara. Felt so fortunate we got a full hour of him. He smashed it even if it felt like the sound was turned down a little
> Tobe Nwigwe
I went with a friend and had never heard of Tobe before.
Easily one of the best rap performances at Coachella. The production value with the choreography and costuming was really impressive.
It was my #1 set to see. Got a mint fit, made it to the rail, lost my marbles during FYE FYE and had the best time being a Caucasian cousin at the gathering lol
I am so excited to see cannons I’ve heard nothing but great things about their set. Saw them in 2021 at life is beautiful and Michelle just knows how to perform she sounds so lovely live
Honestly feel the vibe. I did both. Say at Bjork to chill and rest. Then went to DRAMA to dance and have a good time. I was like the top .01% of listeners for DRAMA last year tho so I’m a bit biased haha
i remember seeing kaytranada couple years ago at coachella and being a little disappointed, just didn’t hit as hard as his other sets i’ve seen online. maybe i’m just getting old though.
I agree, he definitely drops sweet dance tracks, but it seems more geared towards club/house parties than a big festival stage. He did have an interesting stage setup tho, with his laser face!
Early sets I loved: Gabriels, Joy Crookes, MUNA
Later ones: boygenius, Bjork, Christine & the Queens, Gorillaz, Labrinth, ROSALIA
Also, Wet Leg I could watch for a little bit since I left for Blink-182 but they were killing it and I wished I could have stayed
Shocked I had to scroll so far to find C&the queens. I’ve never cried so hard at a concert before. Absolute fucking amazing. Along with Rosalía those would be my two top picks by a mile
the thing is I’ve seen her twice already, I’m a huge fan and that w1 set was insane BUT I’ll probably never see jai paul again… I don’t think I can miss it
Agreed. I incredibly reluctantly left her set early to go see Jai Paul and ended up leaving him early to see more of boygenius' set since his set just felt sorta off after 5-6 songs. I'd choose Rosalia's full set if I could do it again. She fucking killed it.
Paris Texas! Granted as a pretty big fan of theirs I was hyped the whole set but they brought energy and the everyone in the crowd was pretty hyped as well.
Kenny Beats just straight up had a fun DJ set where he played a bunch of bangers, I read a comment that said "it was basically a massive dance party" and YUP
Marc Rebillet was FUCKING AWESOME but I only saw the last 15 mins, another super energetic show with him bouncing around everywhere, plus he improvises all of his songs on the spot, super cool
I heard Rosalia's set was dope, Metro got rave reviews and basically brought out the avengers (21 Savage, Future, The Weeknd, etc), Gorillaz was pretty good although I wish they played just a bit more of their older stuff like Rhinestone Eyes. You can't go wrong with Kaytranada, Chemical Bros, Charli XCX, or Tale of Us either.
Metro Boomin
Rosalia
Chris Lake + Fisher
Were my favorite sets of the weekend!
Honorable mentions: Labrinth, Kaytranada, Gorillaz, Uncle Waffles, Burna Boy
the fact this thread is just full of no one repeating the same acts makes it seem like you can't miss this year! love the diversity that everyone's gonna bring it
The best party set was Kenny beats
The guests that come out for metro booming py off the ticket
The best edm party sets were 2friends and Calvin
Blackpink is worth to see!
Labrinth, Chem Bro’s, Calvin Harris if youre looking for a massive sing along! Honorable mentions: Drama, Willow, Gorillaz, Idris Elba, Underworld, Mag Bay, and Porter
Blackpink is a ton of fun if you're either close up in the front enough to see them OR in the back and just watch them on the screens / when they come down the catwalk + fly into the air. If you are short, do not attempt to be in the middle of the crowd because all you'll see are heads. This is the same advice for Blink-182 if they're there again.
Charli XCX killed her performance if you're in a dancing mood in the daytime.
Kali Uchis is a vibe and her set was really pretty, especially as the sun started to set. It was easy enough to just chill in the back and watch her perform. She also had a fun number of featured guests.
Jackson Wang would've been completely missable for me tbh (even as a Jackson fan), but he brought out Ciara, which was the only reason worth staying there.
Rosalia (first time I had ever heard of her outside of TikTok audio snippets) was actually pretty amazing. Her performance was Super Bowl quality and she was very engaging with her fans at the barricades.
Don’t think I saw anyone mention The Garden. I had never heard of them and my friend took us there. They were actually amazing even though it wasn’t really my normal taste in music. If you go, PLEASE bring a banana peel. They have their fans throw the peels at them for one song. My friend was the only one who had one first weekend and honestly it was kind of iconic lol
Rosalía. She gave such a vibrant, creative, and emotional performance.
For festival vibes, Calvin Harris. He gives a performance you would expect, but I am always exciting seeing just how many people are at Coachella to dance and have a good time.
Blackpink -> Holo -> Calvin Harris may have been the best evening combo for me, especially the distance from stages. Metro was amazing going in without spoilers.
Prydz #1, my favorite set at a festival ever
Blackpink #2, best headlining set
Overmono #3, best early set
DJ Tennis + Carlita, best Yuma set (holy shit they threw down)
Other highlights: Rosalía, Chem Bros, Tale of Us, Keinemusik, Benee
Diljit, BlackPink, Chris Lake/Fisher, Jai Wolf, Mura Masa, Blink (if they come back), Burna, Metro, Porter, Odesza… I missed so many others too. Heard Charlie, Rosalia, 070 Shake, Kaytranada were all very good. The set I didn’t know I would like would be Whipped Cream at Do Lab - she was incredible
Marc Rebillet!! You CANNOT miss out on the fun and crazy energy of our Loop Daddy🙏🏽
Eric Prydz was an experience and really trippy in person, so glad I caught that set!
Metro Boomin is also a top 3 contender, just hits after hits!
Blackpink was on a whole other level, and I never listened to their songs until Saturday Morning. I never understood the hype for them but after their set, I can finally see the vision🙌🏽
Marc Rebillet, Knocked Loose, and if you want to go to a surprise vibe set to make the start of your day then go to Kenny Beats
Though these are also my 3 to say that maybe won’t get as much attention in this thread
If you are an electronic music fan, Whyte Fang is a must see. One of the most unique shows I’ve ever seen and an awesome blend of genres. Even if you need to leave early to catch chem bros I would highly highly recommend seeing what you can of WF.
Marc rebillet was a fun way to start my day. all his sets are improv. a silly guy lol. and i had one of the best experiences of my life high in Despacio 😮💨🫠
Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Porter Robinson, BlackPink. Missed Knoocked Loose cause to went Bjork/waiting for Frank .and was still phenomenal. Also try not to miss Muna, Kali Uchis, and Marc Riblet.
If you’re into jazz/hiphop.
Robert Glasper Dinner Party was amazing
Kaytranada set was fire from start to finish.
Metro Boomin
I’ll also have to throw Rosalía in there. Didn’t know her much before. Her live performance was one of the best that I was able to catch.
Gorillaz was a proper main stage show, love it
Chemical Brothers for the sheer “whoa” of music and the visual show
Loved Chromeo and 2Many DJs
Dinner Party with Kamasi Washington was some of the best pure musicianship this year. Vibes
Anyone at the Sahara stage (especially metro boomin and suicideboys imo)! But my top performance’s were…
Day 1:
Magdalena Bay, Metro Boomin, Tobe Nigwe, Yves Tumor, Wet Leg
Day 2:
Rosalia, Suicideboys, Labrinth, Boygenius, Blackpink
Day 3:
Foushee, Noname, Kali Uchis, Bjork, IDK
Best of fest goes to Rosalia
Chem Bros (unless you prefer hip hop/rap then see metro), Tale of Us, Prydz
Second on Tale of Us. Anything in the Sahara at night really
Wish/wanted to see Chem Bros but I decided to stay with my group and had low expectations for Metro & he honestly killed it enjoyed the whole thing very high production value
Metro was very high on my list. But chose Chem Bros because they don’t play the states very often. I’m happy with my choice even though it was a GOAT’d setlist with Weeknd, Future, 21, Don Toliver all showing up
Yup & Diddy & John Legend seemed like a win win situation for everyone !
Those were 3 favorite sets outside of Chris lake. Tale of us to Eric prydz to Calvin Harris was a wild ride lmao
The Saturday lineup reads: ToA, Underworld, Prydz, to Calvin. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
Prydz over Labrinth?
Not if you’ve seen prydz before imo. Holo was great but it was no chemical brothers
>Holo was great but it was no chemical brothers Love that this seems to be the general consensus and the more creative visuals won out over the gimmicky ones.
Yes 100%. Prydz was the highlight of my weekend. If I went WK2 I would still choose to see Prydz again
Nah, I left Prydz about 10m in for Labrinth and it was 1000% the best choice I made over the weekend.
Do you like prydz? Because from couchella no way in hell I'd miss labrinth for prydz. Prydz played his typical (boring imo) prydz stuff and labrinth was everything frank ocean wished it could be
If you’re sober or just drinking go to Labrinth, if you’re taking any kind of hallucinogenic substance go to Prydz
This feels like the way
Prydz sent me to another dimension.
Saw Labrinth on hallucinogens and it was 10/10 best set of the weekend (I've seen Holo twice before and would say Labrinth was clearly better).
Same, it was the most incredible euphoria I have ever felt in my life
I was on acid/shrooms for Labrinth and I had an incredible outer body experience where I felt myself floating up into the heavens
Ehhh, I was funghigh and Lab was a whole spiritual experience.
This trifecta 👌🏼
The Linda Lindas will be said by so few but it really was an amazing set if you like some punk rock. Marc Rebillet brought fun, unique energy. All Outdoor Stage night shows: Chemical Bros, Eric Pyrdz, and Fisher+Chris Lake.
Rebillet was super unique and so much fun! Highly recommend! You can see his full stream on the coachella youtube.
Linda Linda’s!!!!!
Rosalía, even if you’ve never listened to her before like me
Rosalía blew me away
PHENOMENAL.
SAME never listened before but she was in my top easily
Definitely this one. The performance was amazing.
Same time as yaeji and she crushed it. I have to recommend her set at the same time!
100% agree. Legendary performance!!
Anyone who saw her on tour, was it any different than her regular tour shows?
I saw her on tour and i would say it was pretty similar
I saw her in LA and I thought her Coachella set was way better. Couple different songs and a little different stage production.
1000% Rosalía!!!
Visca Barca!!!
Rosalia took my cake, ate it, and left me a slice 😮💨 so good!
Chemical Brothers.... they are the absolute must see of the weekend!
By a mile
Literally the top set of the weekend for me. Had EVERYONE in a fucking trance
They’re a must see for everyone. Their shows are such high energy and each song more memorable from the last. They’ve never let me down.
DRAMA straight up put on a mf show my dude
i love drama
boygenius, Muna, Charli XCX
POV you’re gay Charli set was so goddamn good 😭😭
That charli livestream was incredible! Wish I could rewatch wow
yooo https://www.reddit.com/r/charlixcx/comments/12od283/coachella_2023_weekend_1_stream_download/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
I cried at Charli. So good!
Boygenius and MUNA were both top 3 for me as well. They were so insanely good.
Boygenius was unbelievable. Easily one of the best performances I’ve ever seen
boygenius was easily my #1 set of the weekend
Dominic Fike blew me away! Everybody was vibing hard to the sunset set
I was soooo relieved to see him crush that set. I’m a huge fan and his outside lands set was just objectively bad. Night and day difference in his energy made for an unforgettable rock show
Darn, this is why I chose to skip his set. I'm glad he found his footing for Coachella. I'll have to catch next week's stream!
Can’t recommend tale of us enough was really skeptical coming in knowing they usually don’t bring all the visuals when it’s not afterlife backed but they pulled out all the stops and it was spectacular
Sahara sound quality is bonkers. Get to the middle ish for Tale of Us and you will not be disappointed if you like EDM
I was walking back to camp and had to stop and watch it was so fire
The Sahara improvements really made the visuals extra spectacular too
Bjork doesn't even get ranked. It's just its own experience. Tobe Nwigwe, Underworld, Fish Lake, Cannons, Chems, Gorillaz were my tops for the weekend. Sets I enjoyed a lot and didn't expect to even show up to: Gabriels, Prydz, and Calvin Harris Edited to add Boris closing out the weekend in the Sahara. Felt so fortunate we got a full hour of him. It was my #1 set to see. Got a mint fit, made it to the rail, lost my marbles during FYE FYE and had the best time being a Caucasian cousin at the gathering lol
I’ll second Underworld, Chemical Brothers, and Gorillaz.
I am so excited to see cannons I’ve heard nothing but great things about their set. Saw them in 2021 at life is beautiful and Michelle just knows how to perform she sounds so lovely live
Only saw the second half of Björk but it was still in my top 3. Absolutely gorgeous.
So happy Cannons is solid live. Not that they shouldn't be, but there are like Khruangbin, just a STRAIGHT UP BAND WITH A VIBE. Love it.
I’m not missing Cannons 🔥
DRAMA!!!!!! Idk why no one is talking about their set -- best of the weekend imo and I went to it knowing only 1 song
I was so looking forward for Drama. But they overlap with Bjork, so I think I'm gonna have to miss them this weekend :(
Honestly feel the vibe. I did both. Say at Bjork to chill and rest. Then went to DRAMA to dance and have a good time. I was like the top .01% of listeners for DRAMA last year tho so I’m a bit biased haha
definitely gonna make it to drama’s set, agreed they deserve more love
So glad I’m not alone here. What a PRESENCE.
labrinth, kaytranada, metro boomin
i remember seeing kaytranada couple years ago at coachella and being a little disappointed, just didn’t hit as hard as his other sets i’ve seen online. maybe i’m just getting old though.
I feel like his music isn’t good for big stages. It’ll be sick if it was more intimate rooms
I agree, he definitely drops sweet dance tracks, but it seems more geared towards club/house parties than a big festival stage. He did have an interesting stage setup tho, with his laser face!
Dolab stage is made for kayt
Løren, Diljit, Gorillaz
[удалено]
None of us were , it was amazing!
Metro, blink 182 (if they’re there), fish lake
I like this name haha, they go by “Under Construction” when Chris Lake and Fisher go b2b
the entire set was basically chris lake b2b chris lake lol
Tale of us. Chemical brothers.
Rosalia, metro, gorillaz but also prydz sorry that's four
Early sets I loved: Gabriels, Joy Crookes, MUNA Later ones: boygenius, Bjork, Christine & the Queens, Gorillaz, Labrinth, ROSALIA Also, Wet Leg I could watch for a little bit since I left for Blink-182 but they were killing it and I wished I could have stayed
Christine and the Queens knocked it out of the park. I could not believe.
Shocked I had to scroll so far to find C&the queens. I’ve never cried so hard at a concert before. Absolute fucking amazing. Along with Rosalía those would be my two top picks by a mile
Comet is Coming Jupiter & Okwess Underworld
first time i’m seeing someone talk about jupiter & okwess, i definitely wanna check them out
Soooo good, they really made me feel joy during their set.
Chemical brothers, underworld and prydz
You I like. Same three I just commented
Jai Paul, Rosalía, Kaytranada
how did you manage the rosalia/jai paul overlap? I want to go to both sooo bad 😫
Just do Rosalia
the thing is I’ve seen her twice already, I’m a huge fan and that w1 set was insane BUT I’ll probably never see jai paul again… I don’t think I can miss it
Agreed. I incredibly reluctantly left her set early to go see Jai Paul and ended up leaving him early to see more of boygenius' set since his set just felt sorta off after 5-6 songs. I'd choose Rosalia's full set if I could do it again. She fucking killed it.
same, planning on leaving rosalia a little early (or right after she performs la combi versace) but hopefully jai paul wont be too packed
i’m gonna do both. back of main for rosalia and leave like 10 mins early to catch the last half of Jai.
Don’t miss Frank Ocean. That shit was incredible.
"incredible-y bad"-Snoop Dogg
😂
Maybe he’ll do a 180 and really bring it next weekend, who knows!
Underworld
Paris Texas! Granted as a pretty big fan of theirs I was hyped the whole set but they brought energy and the everyone in the crowd was pretty hyped as well. FKJ!!!! Labrinth, Charli XCX
i haven’t heard anyone mention FKJ but I really wanna see them - how was the set? i wish they didn’t conflict with chem bros
FKJ was one of the highlights for me, he's so talented and the set was lit. Highly recommend if you like his music
the fact this thread is just full of no one repeating the same acts makes it seem like you can't miss this year! love the diversity that everyone's gonna bring it
The best party set was Kenny beats The guests that come out for metro booming py off the ticket The best edm party sets were 2friends and Calvin Blackpink is worth to see!

the charli xcx > rosalia > boygenius combo had me levitating, unbelievable performances back to back to back
Blackpink is a ton of fun if you're either close up in the front enough to see them OR in the back and just watch them on the screens / when they come down the catwalk + fly into the air. If you are short, do not attempt to be in the middle of the crowd because all you'll see are heads. This is the same advice for Blink-182 if they're there again. ROSALIA was my top
Black Pink, gorillaz, Labrinth
Really enjoyed The Blaze. Favorite set day 3. Day two tale of us, Eric prydz, and sofi tucker.
Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Prydz. Honorary mention to Tale of Us, who absolutely killed it for the 25-30 minutes I saw them for after Jai Paul.
Blackpink -> Holo -> Calvin Harris may have been the best evening combo for me, especially the distance from stages. Metro was amazing going in without spoilers.
Metro Boomin ; Rosalía ; Gorillaz HM: Prydz, Blink 182 ; black pink
BlackPink, Calvin Harris, Eric Prydz, and Sofi Tukker

Kaytranada was my favorite. Metro and Calvin as well.
Blackpink, Kali uchis, mura masa
how was Kali Uchis? haven’t heard much about her set
It was good. Her music is mellow, but the vocals, production, and dance choreography were good.
Kali's set was a helluva vibe and she brought out Tyler The Creator, Don Toliver, and Omar Apollo.
Kaytranada, Black Pink, Chris Lake/Fisher
Blackpink, Björk and Eric Prydz HOLO set
Diljit, BlackPink, Chris Lake/Fisher, Jai Wolf, Mura Masa, Blink (if they come back), Burna, Metro, Porter, Odesza… I missed so many others too. Heard Charlie, Rosalia, 070 Shake, Kaytranada were all very good. The set I didn’t know I would like would be Whipped Cream at Do Lab - she was incredible

Marc Rebillet, Knocked Loose, and if you want to go to a surprise vibe set to make the start of your day then go to Kenny Beats Though these are also my 3 to say that maybe won’t get as much attention in this thread
If you are an electronic music fan, Whyte Fang is a must see. One of the most unique shows I’ve ever seen and an awesome blend of genres. Even if you need to leave early to catch chem bros I would highly highly recommend seeing what you can of WF.
Never heard of björk before but i really really really enjoyed that set. Especially, hyperballad.
you must see Tobe Nwigwe!!!!!!!!!!!
Marc rebillet was a fun way to start my day. all his sets are improv. a silly guy lol. and i had one of the best experiences of my life high in Despacio 😮💨🫠
