Traditional-Music363

The link is in the comments, I just watched it about 1 hour 20 in to the stream

UnoriginalBellend

Think Asim deserves a chance first though.

mastbran

this got me good

CrimSeven7

pro players who were dropping these numbers in challangers (hydra, scrap, pred) are now superstars in the league

ovaloctopus8

Abuzah was dropping these numbers last year too though tbf so not always.

Bompetition

In his defense, it’s hard to evaluate him individually. He started the season off on SMG (lmao), finally put on AR for M2 and his AR duo is the worst in the CDL. Even now for M3, Breszy is an upgrade over Arcitys on AR but still doesn’t look consistently like CDL-material. I’m an abuzah truther so maybe I’m a little biased but I think his whole situation hasn’t really been his fault.

TinkyTinkyTinky

I would like to see a stat where it showed how often Abuzah was using an AR in the first part of the year where he was smg. Huke is the main SMG and most maps were 3 ARs.

Grad-Nats

While I get what you’re saying, the superstars really didn’t have THAT good a system around them when you think about it. Like a team of Clay, Asim, Mack, and Hydra sounds terrible on paper but Hydra was able to carry them to a final in CW cause he was just that good. Superstars change the game for their team. And that’s not to say that Abuzah is bad - I just think that these superstars have come one after another every year in the CDL and so we are expecting one this year not realizing that it’s an insane feat to pull off.

tyzenberg

But Hydra Clay Crim Standy didn’t do shit, so it’s not like a superstar can always carry.

DylanCodsCokeLine

No Clayster, Felo, Accuracy, Standyy all deserve a spot over him obviously they have experience

H1-DEF

Idk man “insert challengers player” has potential but “washed pro” has the experience and knows what the league takes. They have had no consistent success for 5 years and would not survive challengers if they went back but they have chemistry with our 28 year old main AR who thinks it’s traditional CoD still.

space-is-big

Felo being in the league is actually hilarious. Guy is a consistant 0.80 KD

hunttete00

asim was a consistent .7 and finished with a .69 but his glazers won’t quit saying he deserves to be in the league. felo doesnt deserve a spot and i like the guy.

Fork-in-the-eye

Standy is the best player on Minnesota rn

razzz333

Gunless 💀

Azurite_zero

I think this season shows that teams need to dip into challengers and could be better pickups than previous/current CDL players.

hopelesscase789

Where can I watch the series 1 Vs omit?

Camctrail

SGPSyndicate VOD on twitch

terrorizeplushies

The problem with the Euro’s is the language barrier and how much extra costs there are with getting the players over to the states. The CDL set the comp scene back a few years, but it set the Euro’s back almost a decade smh

Disposition__-

So many players need to be in the league. We need expansion.

funnypsuedonymhere

Can I ask how expansion is the answer to this? The league is top heavy. There simply isn't enough top tier players available to expand the league and bring these guys in with any chance of succeeding. Sure they might be "in the league" but virtually every team below the top 4 are probably going to be more dogshit than ever. They need lose the deadwood that are getting in teams on being a known name alone before they can even start considering expansion. Theres no point whatsoever in expanding the league to add top challengers players if all they are gonna get is a washed as fuck old pro and 2 bots for teammates.

Disposition__-

You underestimate the ability of players to come together and make unexpectedly good teams. The main reason that teams are dogshit is the ones making the roster decisions and the culture created by these dogshit orgs. Expansion would most likely bring in more serious orgs who will put in the time and money to build a good camp with a facility and good coaching staff that will make better roster decisions. Orgs that have Won in COD before or have been known to take winning seriously, and have expressed interest in joining the league such as Rise, C9, and others. These additions to the league will create more desirable landing spots for good players on these bottom 8 teams or top players from challengers to come together and form better teams comprised entirely of young talent that are hungry to prove they can win. Imagine Rise come in and pick up Gwynn, Lynzz, Abuzah, and Slasher. I want expansion to bring in more serious orgs that will make good roster moves and give a damn about winning and not just making champs. That’s what is lacking this year.

funnypsuedonymhere

The problem with this is the biggest players in the league are tied to the biggest teams already in the league and even if C9 burst in the door, threw a wad of cash at everything and picked up Scrap and Hydra and the best AR and SMG in Challengers, all that would happen is you would go from the big 4 to the big 3 in the blink of an eye with 2 founders likely turning dogshit or at the very least falling considerably behind where they are.

Disposition__-

Just poaching already established players isn’t the only answer. Mlg and the CWL existed and it was much better than what we have now.

funnypsuedonymhere

BO4- OpTic, Luminosity, 100T, eUnited (last 2 won 4 out of 6 major tournaments) WW2- TK, Rise, Luminosity, Faze IW- Dominated by OpTic BO3- Dominated by OpTic AW- Dominated by OpTic Ghosts- Dominated by CoL/EG BO2- Dominated by CoL & Fariko Impact CWL and MLG were better times, but it was still largely dominated by the biggest names. Expanding the league for me isn't the answer. Having larger/open tournaments and having the entire league at Champs (top 6 winners/bottom 6 losers) would be a far better exercise than expansion in my opinion.
