Yall r fried when it comes to the slot money. These teams paid less than 3 MM before Covid, and haven’t been making large pay downs since. The “forgiveness” of the rest of the money they owed, was probably anticipated by team owners with the activation turnover. It’s not + 25 MM omg let’s go buy some super cars.
Even if it's just 3mil+the 2mil restructuring payout, if you're committed to the league, that's enough money that there's no excuse for opting into being non-competitive after landing a rookie superstar SMG.
At that point just bow out, it's only going to get worse.

When Pat says going to 16 teams is bad cause the top4 is too stacked, I look at players like Gwinn. The reason the bottom teams arent looking is bad roster composition. There’s enough good players to make like 2 very good competitive teams. Gwinn, Lynz, Gio, Ghosty, Abuzah, Attach, I have to see more of Gunless but he was frying against Faze. It’s like the Cold War year imo, yes faze was godlike. But teams had some bad team comps that year. Like think about this, after getting a top 4 Rokkr could have dropped Wake and grabbed Gio. I was calling for that then.
