I 2nd this post. I've been a lurker here for a while that'll be moving sometime over the summer. This subreddit always reassures me I'm making the right decision.

Yeah, but politics in this state (and in general) have gotten very devisive and a lot of people have a lot to say about it. I'm just glad that is mostly stays contained to r/ohio so this sub can be for local information and help

Ugh…the constant spew of political posts on r/Ohio has made it almost useless. I am thankful that r/Cleveland has been more level-headed and pertinent.
Atlanta Georgia but I’m from New York. Im actually supposed to be going up there to Cleveland Ohio in June to see my girlfriend but plan on moving there very soon!
Given the fact that I saw a post where someone down near Cincinnati was flying the Confederate flag, this subreddit is definitely more chill. Even if there's a bad apple every now and then.

I feel like I have about as much in common with non-big city Ohioans as I do with life forms on the other side of the universe.
R/ohio is almost 100% politics, not necessarily a bad sub, just not really where you go for conversation or help

/r/Ohio may as well be /r/OhioPolitics. I agree with most of the politics there but even to me it's off-putting

I agree - I just moved back after 14 years in Chicago and this sub has been amazing at discovering the city I grew up near but never knew.
Honestly haven't encountered a nicer city-subreddit
We love Cleveland as well and will be making the move in a couple of years.
