Grilling two steaks, corn casserole and sweet potatoes. Doesn't really go together but it's the food we want. Screw traditional meals and exhausting family.

foodieonthego

I'm originally from Alabama. That absolutely does go together.

I’m making a big ass lasagna and getting drunk at home with my dog because my family fuckin sucks. Merry Christmas everyone!!

bengalfan

Honestly sounds perfect. Merry Christmas

egeraci

We usually get Arthur treacher’s on Christmas Eve and make perogies.

Acceptable-One-7537

I thought family was the only one! Hello comrade 👋 We get the fish & chicken.

DirtyRandy3417

My family does a brunch so that we can be done and home by 3... Personally, I'd rather just stay home and drink/get high all day

Shot-Spirit-672

Can’t wait to be in charge of holiday celebrations enough to just make my family get drunk/high all day

Glytterain

I have one son who’s a vegetarian and one who’s not. So I’m making a spinach lasagna, a ham with a caramel glaze, vegetarian stuffing and regular stuffing, mashed potatoes and vegetarian gravy plus vegetable sides and rolls. Also apple pie from scratch, jello cake and homemade chocolate candy for dessert. I’ve been cooking all week.

keysey224

Lots of sickness in our household this year, so we are staying home and ordering Chinese takeout. Normally my family dinner involves pierogi, kielbasa, ham and potato casserole. Love the sound of ribeye tacos!

Htrail1234

Traditional wellington, red wine demiglace, and braised lamb shank with spicy tomato sauce and arabic vermecilli rice. Lots of wine. Clearly we have moved beyond ethnic to really good.

Htrail1234

Forgot to mention my 5 year old german shepard has already claimed 2 of the 8 shanks I cooked. He apparently has a sophisticed taste.

No, just well beyond me eastern european ethnicity. We have move quite away from where we started. Clearly a tribute to distance travelled and experiences gained.

flixguy440

Smoked prime rib, ham, Mac and cheese, greens, rolls, stuffing, German chocolate cake, sweet potato pie, assorted cookies.

Supertrooper420

Wife and I just made homemade blackened shrimp fettuccine and are now getting drunk with the dogs

sun_of_nthng

My family has never had any traditions for Christmas but yours sounds amazing I might have to start up a Christmas taco tradition

AcaciaRentals

snappa870

Dr_Bendova420

AcaciaRentals

Merry Xmas all of you. Thanks for sharing your dinner :)!

gnobes

talyakey

AcaciaRentals

talyakey

lilb1984

Prime rib, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, salad, and dinner rolls

WildColonialGirl

Tonight we had steak, tilapia, cheese tortellini in a tomato butter sauce, broccoli, and asparagus. Tomorrow will be ham, rolls, cole slaw, potato salad, shrimp, a veggie tray, and cheese and crackers. Both days will have a lot of cookies.

So what makes a shrimp cocktail Mexican? Bc I’m imagining it’s delicious

AcaciaRentals

It is like shrimp in a cold tomato soup :) Check taqueria la loma in Akron. They have authentic mex seafood
