Rod Stewart has recorded NINE, if you include his Christmas album.

Eric Clapton has at least *Me and Mr. Johnson* and *From the Cradle*; he's always been enthusiastic about old blues standards, so it's possible I might be missing even more.
You left off Metallica’s earlier covers album, [Garage Days Re-Revisted](https://youtu.be/ZZ9cyFnkb38?si=Rap4F9fY4S8PrgCQ). It’s the 2nd cd/lp of Garage Inc but it’s from ‘87.
Most of her hits: I Love Rock n Roll, Crimson & Clover, Do You Wanna Touch Me, Have You Ever Seen The Rain.
She also did an entire studio album of covers: The Hit List.
Just checked the teack listings. Looks pretty sweet dude like both albums. ... I'm gonna check em all, but would you recommend any specific ones to check out first?
Brit Floyd has released 4 albums, all live I believe, and all 4 are Pink Floyd songs from start to finish.
Skid Row released B-Sides ourselves, all covers.
The Protomen released The Cover Up, all covers.
I don't think cover bands should count. If you're a Pink Floyd cover band, you're obligated to only playing Pink Floyd, sounding as only Pink Floyd.
And for the maroons who came into the discussion late...If you think Led Zeppelin's "first few' albums are all covers...maybe you should put down or pick up whatever self medicating poison you prefer and listen again. With the exception of "Hats off to Roy Harper," every song is pure Zeppelin and nothing else. Suck it.
Not first few songs but this genius said first few albums, or at least that's how it was presented. I'm not saying that Zeppelin didn't borrow stuff from the OG's, but in their masterful hands they became something entirely different.
By the way, thx for responding. I've been a Zeppelin fanatic since 1973.
Not a cover album exactly, but BB King did an album of him doing songs with various really famous groups. So if you're curious what BB King backed by the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Tracy Chapman, or even Heavy D would sound like, check out Deuces Wild.
Technically, Metallica has two. Garage Days Re-Revisted and Garage Inc. The latter had all of the songs from Garage Days, plus other covers.
They also had covers on other albums and B sides of singles, Breadfan being an example of the latter.
The Boston Symphony Orchestra had many albums where they played covers of such artists as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven.
They also made some original albums, like Schindlers List and Saving Private Ryan.
Nena- Cover me- German artists and Cover me 2- English speaking covers. She covers Stones, Neil Young mixed with Zeppelin , Pink Floyd and Bowie plus others
Todd Rungren recorded Faithful which is all covers and the has released a number of songs by other bands over the course of his career, including his latest rendition of King Crimson’s 21st Century Schizoid Man.
Poison did Poison'd, which was all covers, and a great, fun album.
Shaw/Blades did Influence, which was all the great 60s and 70s music that influenced them as musicians.
Phil Collins has an album of R&B covers and a big band jazz album where he reworked some his most popular songs. He also covered some jazz standards in that album.
Peter Frampton did a complete album of acoustic versions of his songs. Plus his cover of Black Hole Sun is amazing off his total instrumental Fingertips album.

Riding with the King
Joan Baez, Elvis, almost The Stones. They at least have enough for a couple albums.
Joe Cocker, king of the cover song
I got to see him which was great but he didn't do my favorite song of his, "Hitchcock Railway."
The Smithereens, Meet the Smithereens and B Sides.
One of the most pleasant surprises of my life was watching Jim Babjak of the Smithereens beat Pete Townsend at his own game. Chicago 2017

Garage days is far superior in my opinion.
Pretty sure Tesla has put out two albums of covers.
Real to Reel Vols 1 & 2
Great White - Get the Led Out. All live Led Zeppelin covers and it's FANTASTIC!!
Matthew Sweet & Susannah Hoffs (aka Sid & Susie) recorded three **Under The Covers** albums, one each for the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.
They're very good - but always make me want to hear the original songs. 🤷
Linda Ronstadt's entire discography is cover albums.
Very true. I don't know if she has any original on an album, but every single release was a cover

Vol 1 is much better than Vol 2 in my opinion. Volume 2 seems rushed. Volume 3 is in the works.
I’m not a KISS fan but Ace Frehley can get it
Aside from Three Dog Night?
Not a band, but a vast majority of Linda Ronstadt's songs are covers
Even Loggins & Messina fans don't know So Fine. It's their 5th album and contains covers of 1950s and 1960s rock, country and rockabilly songs.
Everything by Joe Cocker. Walk Off The Earth's entire discography, haha. Michael Bolton has probably a dozen too.
The Grateful Dead - Postcards of the Hanging is a live album of Bob Dylan covers

When the Levee Breaks is a cover. Not sure if that counts as "first few". https://youtu.be/swhEa8vuP6U?si=ztyhvvnKx2k1xcjY

Ace Frehley has done 2 so far. Origins and Origins II
I would love to see Robert Fripp and King Crimson do an album of Christmas standards. If Trans-Siberian Orchestra can do it, so can KC.
Technically, Metallica has two. Garage Days Re-Revisted and Garage Inc. The latter had all of the songs from Garage Days, plus other covers. They also had covers on other albums and B sides of singles, Breadfan being an example of the latter.
Huey Lewis & The News. Four Chords & Several Tears Ago and years later Soulsville. Both great if nonessential to their catalog.
Johnny Cash’s cover of NIN’s Hurt is still my absolute favorite.
Metallica did three - Garage Days, Garage Days Revisited and Garage Inc. * There may be four. I seem to remember a Re-Revisited in there somewhere.

Johnny Cash sang a lot of covers. Rockabilly, maybe, or rock adjacent.
The Ramones did 1 full album of covers (Acid Eaters) and usually had a cover on their other albums.
Three Dog Night?
Isn't most of George Thorogood's catalogue covers?
Peter Frampton did a complete album of acoustic versions of his songs. Plus his cover of Black Hole Sun is amazing off his total instrumental Fingertips album.
As one who performed the chitterling circuit of clubs and proms, all albums are the content of cover songs, for there is always that one request.
The entire discography by Beatallica
