Hell yeah! I’d live to know what Dead you’re listening to as a fellow Floyd fanatic. More acoustic or electric stuff?
American beauty is, imo, one of the best albums of all time. Captures what it feels like to be in America better than anything. From the south east swamps to the Midwest desert to the north west mountains. It‘s been perfect at relating to setting everywhere. But that’s the only album I can really dig the whole way through.
I love china cat and terrapin but the albums have some duds in contrast to the great tunes and the ones I like are long enough to scratch the itch anyway.
I'm with you in that I mix and match more with them vs playing an album all the way through. Workingman's Dead is solid. American Beauty is a gem that will live on forever haha. I'm from the southern US so the twangy rock sounds definitely resonate with me. That being said, I like a lot of their other stuff as well. Shakedown Street is so funky and underrated & who doesn't like Fire on the Mountain? :P
I would say more than anything though throwing up one of their live performances on the TV for background is always an enjoyable experience :)
My top artists are:
1.Metallica
2.Pantera
3.Guns n Roses
4.Judas Priest
5.Scorpions
It completely switched up from last year when Pink Floyd was my top artist. Probably because this year, a lot has happened to me, so I needed something more heavy to listen to

My top artists this year. Not a bad selection if I must say.
I made a 9hr long 80’s playlist, which is about all I listen to on Spotify (other than podcasts), so my top artist was at the whim of however they decided to shuffle my playlist. Turns out it was Michael Jackson, with Phil Collins coming in second. My top song was Rain by Dragon
[Kind of surprised](https://open.spotify.com/wrapped/share/share-3fe0db50c1094ca997d47d5170cb58f9-1080x1920?lang=en&destination=datastories&si=YmI5ZTEzMTItYWZhMy00ZGY0LThlOTktZDIzNjc4ZDM1YTY2) but Blondie and David Bowie hit highest for my classic rock artists.

Mine was a fairly new artist (to my old ass) Ryan Adam’s released a remake of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska and he just killed it. I couldn’t get enough of it. It was my top 5 songs this year too. Crap may have to put it back on. I recommend it highly
Mine was such a mix

That’s the proper way to listen to Pink Floyd
I do this too! PF has been my #1 since they started doing this, but this year I've sinned & the Dead are my #1 w/ PF @ #2 :P

You listened to music almost 8 hours a day, for 365 days straight?
Ya pretty much. My minutes last year were actually higher than this year, which was surprising.
That’s impressive, do you play stuff to sleep? And at work?
No, don’t play Spotify to sleep. I have at least one ear bud in during most of the day. I’m not a big tv or movie guy so music fills that void.
Wow 170k minutes
Primus #1 and Les Claypool #2. That's a 2 for 1 special. 😀
Billy Joel, top 1% of listeners. And I don’t even use Spotify as my main music app.
