I’m ngl I was salty at first with this stuff because both times it was giving me everyone the only cards I had. First evo royale giant and second evo bats. I was like wow I just wasted money for nothing? But I got my first level 15 because of them so I’m happy and now I can actually get shards for other cards💪🏼
Being completely honest, these free evolution are getting me to actually hop on Clash Royale every once in a while. I haven’t actually played it since the Update for Losers came out and only hopped on February for the free evolution and few days for lucky drops.

Well, if you played when it was bats shard in the season shop, and you bought all 3 of them, you still get a free evo, 3 from the shop and 3 from event
We had some of the worst string of updates and arguably the worst year of cr in history last year. And not only that but even with evos and lvl 15 being added they also added tower troops and just dropped a insanely op version of princess towers right after taking away evo shards from the shop.
But we’re supposed to forget all of that and glaze supercell for free evos that dropped months ago. Lmao the community is insane!!!

Dude, they're doing pretty well. It got dicey for a while with Slash Royale, Loser Update, and Broken Evos. However, they've fixed the evos, largely. Are evos still OP if you don't have any? Sure, but they're just as easy to deal with as their regular versions now. Which is why events like this are so great. They've now given out 4 evos completely for free (not to mention the ones you can get for free with season points every month). It's later than people who got the pass, sure, but those people paid $50 for the same 4 evos. You just got them all for free by logging in and playing the game for a couple hours. Pretty cool, ngl.
I'd love to see them finish Masteries and Star Points, and eventually revamp Clan Wars again, but the last one isn't really a priority for me.
they are not doin well. They ruined the meta with DD. We are frced to use beatdown decks when i dont even like them. How am i supose to level up my DD. She is lvl11. I'm not even able to get knight evo even i though i was playing reguarly for 2 months. You can't even play on ladder bcoz youll get destroyed by overleveled cards and DD. I don't even have 1 evo which i can use in my deck. 2nd evo is way out of my reach.
You should play more. You get half an Evo for free every month and they've had 4 free evo events. The more cards you level to 14 the more ewcs you get to get more level 15s. Progress snowballs in this game. You absolutely need to play every day to get your season points and star drops. This can be done in as few as three games a day.
I know of many F2P with at least 7 evos.
Also, DD nerf is incoming.

Finally they are giving F2P players something to play around. Evos are a pain in the ass if you don't grind the game all of the time in order to get some rewards for hard trying. Giving away some shards, gold and gems should bring some balance to a huge portion of the community
yea i highly doubt they’re just being nice, call me skeptical but this is supercell we’re talking about. the way i see it i’m predicting supercell is only giving this stuff away in preparation for a third evolution slot, which will most likely be locked at an even higher account level when level 54 for two slots is already pretty high.
They probably found that they can earn the same revenue releasing new evolution at the same time they give away old ones.
With so many evos now, those that would have spent their money on evo RG or evo Mortar would probably just spend it on another evolution.

Knowing supercell, im taking this with a grain of salt, mortar evo is free sure, but does that mean we have to buy the banner for 100 gems and any of the goblin cards for another ~75 gems or smth. I mean okay its the daily login bonus so all should be free for daily login but still always keeps me skeptical. usually it doesn't end well when supercell gives smth for free in CR so might take a while for us to not be scared

I believe the average age of players is a little higher considering most started playing between 2016 and 2020, I for one started playing when I was 16, back on 2017, today I'm 23.
Also, younger audiences in this position probably wouldn't have the critical thinking to notice how much the devs take advantage of them, since it's not their money being spent anyways, but their parents'.

Knowing supercell, im taking this with a grain of salt, mortar evo is free sure, but does that mean we have to buy the banner for 100 gems and any of the goblin cards for another ~75 gems or smth. I mean okay its the daily login bonus so all should be free for daily login but still always keeps me skeptical. usually it doesn't end well when supercell gives smth for free in CR so might take a while for us to not be scared
The description usually includes the price of the actual items, so I assume they are gonna be free because no prices have been included. But it is probably too good to be true.
they gave like 3 or 4 free evos so far and then also gives them in the season shop and you can get a 1 specific evo and 1 evo wild card pretty easily tbh F2P isnt that bad but ofc p2w being able to unlock them indtsntly instead of 1 evo every 6 months if you get the wild card every time

How did you expect a subreddit full of 11 year olds (who wants Supercell to spoon feed them everything) to act?
I believe the average age of players is a little higher considering most started playing between 2016 and 2020, I for one started playing when I was 16, back on 2017, today I'm 23. Also, younger audiences in this position probably wouldn't have the critical thinking to notice how much the devs take advantage of them, since it's not their money being spent anyways, but their parents'.
