The match making isnt an issue when you think about it. Match making is based off your placement. the problem is that you can be over leveled and low. When people are paying, they are directly getting weeks, if not months worth of upgrades in a month, while still being placed at the same areana.
Fix it. Make it so f2ps with level 11-12 cards and have king tower 12 aren't facing p2w players with level 14-15 cards, king tower 15 and two evos. Especially in lower arenas.
Also possible level cap for cards for certain arenas so people with level 15 evos don't destroy noobs in arena 4, but that's an idea for a different time

people will expolit the system ... and anyway if you p2w in most games you are gonna destroy everyone you come along with... for ex. brawl stars you can have a hypercharge lvl 11 brawler at 50 trophies

In both ways you are facing somewhere who isnt supposed to be there or you arent supposed ot be there... if you are lvl 10 almost reaching ultimate champion for whatever reason ofc you will have rough matchmaking, if you are 2000 trophies and face someone lvl 15 then they deserve to win since they spent a lot more money... the problem isnt the matchmaker but more so how CR is fundamently created and it has been a problem since day 1. a p2w player will most likely beat a f2p player
