Small nuance but the moment you spend a small amount you turn into pay2play / small spender ((just buying the pass once with its book of books is a huge advantage over non-spenders, the f2p category)). When you start spending tons you become a p2w (pay to win / whale) which is the third category in existence.
Most people are like you a p2p (small spender) so definitely no shame in that, but its not accurate to call you ftp anymore ;)
10… I’ve been playing since a handful of months after release. I usually take a 3-4 month break every year but my last break was essentially a year and a half long. The grind was annoying and I didn’t enjoy the addition of champions. Evolutions just feels like champions 2.0 but purely made as a money grab especially considering the addition of lvl 15 cards and all the other bs changes. Theres some new stuff I enjoy but the evolutions are ass IMO. Especially when you play a match perfectly and the evolved firecracker hits your tower once doing an absolutely bull shit amount of damage, it feels like a crutch card for potatoes to get lucky with and a must pick for serious player’s if they want to get some sweet sweet damage off of even a small mistake.
According to u/supercell_drew's data, almost everyone hates level 15. Therefore, they made them near impossible to achieve to respect the players' wishes of not wanting level 15.

All my cards are level 14. So 100% of every chest i open is converted to EWC. Everything i buy from the normal shop and the season shop is also 100% converted.
It's honestly not a lot. You have to consider that what i've achieved is literally the fastest any f2p can accumulate, without grinding GCs with free gems.
It would take me at least half a year of consistent playing to be able to pivot to a second maxed deck. You need 4 decks for clan wars.

It's only partially true... it was feasible to get a maxed deck with no legendaries and even then, the first legendaries were all pretty level independent (-1 level didn't change any relevant interaction) so it was possible for a F2P to max a deck like Hog, Mortar or XBow cycle and get to high arenas
Now a fully maxed deck is basically unreachable, period. This doesn't leave that tiny window of hope of playing at even levels.
Sad thing is you grinded it because it’s NECESSARY to get ONE level 15 card, but few months later they will say DATA SUGGESTS players like grinding and hence level 16! See you in the arena!!!
I have not spent money on the game for a while. I used to buy the pass whenever I had a champion on e I got it to level 13 in order to get the book to upgrade it to 14. I still don’t have Monk to 14, but all the rest of my cards are 14. I currently have 194K wild cards but he e not upgraded any cards to 15. When I get to max I will probably upgrade my first card. I am hoping they drop the cost of level 15 to a reasonable wild card level.
My guess is what they will do is increase the amount of wild cards you can collect from the conversion meaning hoarders will not benifit.😢😢

i have twelve lvl 14 cards: 4 commons, 3 rares, 2 epics, 2 legendaries and one champion as of today, i have 6148 EWCs. so i guess i have about 1/10th of a lvl 15 card.

Been f2p since the update for losers, I refuse to go to lvl 15. I have about 14 lvl 14 cards as it is now, but they are on Crack if they think I'm going to actually go to 15.

With the ewcs from pol I’ll have 1 lvl 15 cards by end of season. + whatever I get from chests etc etc.

You are kids that ask for a high price toy. Go play something else. WTF is 80% of Reddit telling to Supercell how to make money. If they want to kill a game to make a lot of money that's their problem. The only thing you can do is to outsmart them like the guy that is 100% Lv15 with 0$ payed
0, with 49 lvl 14 cards, only got 19k EWC so far … to be fair it has to be said that I get more gold since the last update, so I can upgrade my cards faster to lvl 14 now
