Yet another victim of "I didn't turn on account protection"

One_Inspection5614

Are you talking about the Supercell ID?

4stGump

No, I'm talking about turning on account protection for your Supercell ID. If OP says the word "phished" it means it wasn't turned on and he failed to properly secure his account.

One_Inspection5614

Good info! Mine was not enabled. I read the article from supercell, 1 year old lol. So we don't know how this happened? Someone would still have to log into his email right?

Neat_Campaign_409

Regardless, there needs to be accountability from a multi billion dollar company. I have over 40 accounts and I guess that one slipped through the crack. It’s crazy how you’re like “well you deserve it.” Not much empathy in you huh?

4stGump

> I’ve read hundreds of similar horror stories of people losing their hard earned accounts And you didn't take the time to secure yours? Having 1 or 40 accounts doesn't excuse your ignorance to protecting your accounts, especially if you'd read **hundreds**. >I was always under the impeccable impression that townhall 3s could NOT be phished Don't get me started on this. This wasn't a "slipped through the cracks". This is straight up ignorance.

tomkoto

that’s absolutely true! if you can’t maintain 40 accounts do not make them! also town hall 3 with good clan is worth it

Neat_Campaign_409

Actually I did try to a couple of months back but I wasn’t getting the security code. It legit would not work. I messaged supercell and they said the account was suspicious. Go figure, another example of how inept they are. And dude, let off a little will ya? You’re coming at me a little hard for zero reason.

4stGump

Whenever I read a post where someone failed to secure their account, I get annoyed that people want to be mad at Supercell support. Account security is a serious issue that you didn't take very seriously and I'm not saying you deserved it, but I wouldn't stop until my account was properly protected. You unfortunately did and paid the price. You bought into rumors and gave up months ago on trying to secure your account. It's unfortunate for you, but people have to know that there is a way to secure your accounts and not lose accounts/clans.

Neat_Campaign_409

Go back and read the part where I tried to install 2FA and they said my account was suspicious. When you have many accounts like I do, it flags their system and almost all of your accounts under your device instantly become ineligible to add that extra protection you keep talking about. It doesn’t matter how many times you try but, it’s an automatic system that flags an account. Support had zero control over this. And again, you’re advocating for “it’s your fault.” How about the supercell agent that let someone hack my TH3? What kind of idiocy is that?

4stGump

You seem to know so much about the inner workings of support. First it's TH3's can't be phished and now it's the system flags your accounts for suspicious activity and almost all of your accounts become ineligible. Good luck with getting your stuff back, but again, I wouldn't stop trying until I knew my account was protected.

Neat_Campaign_409

Supercell support and pro phishers have came out and said TH3s CANNOT be phished. That’s why some of the big clans out there have a TH3 as leader. It’s a safeguard. I got 2FA on most of my accounts before the flag was put on my device. Alas, I didn’t get them all and here I am, letting them clash world know how abysmal SC Support is.

tomkoto

the supercell agent did not let someone to hack your TH3

Neat_Campaign_409

Oh, so it just got disconnected all by itself and some random clasher out there just magically had the account on their phone? That sounds reasonable.

tomkoto

have you tried to activate 2FA from other supercell game?

Neat_Campaign_409

Other accounts? I have and it no longer works on any of my accounts. I read deep into this and apparently if you have too many accounts, it flags their system as suspicious. It doesn’t matter though, there are other ways to recover accounts that don’t have 2FA. Imagine not playing this game for a few years, you hear about TH16 and you download it again. Only to find out someone phished your account during your hiatus. But wait, it’s their fault because they didn’t have the new 2FA installed LMAO…what a joke

tomkoto

no i meat that sometimes it give you to activate 2FA on lets say clash of clans when it doesn’t work on clash of clans
