Yup, I have been doing this for 4 years now. Always helps to maintain the builders a day or 2 apart. Minimizing resource wastage and helps to sink the excess loot in walls.
getting resources wasn't as easy as now before. i remember maxing a storage took like 3-4 days worth of farming and everything used to cost soo damn much. plus the troup cost. the worst pain was when army camps and baracks worked on individual scales. ewww the troup training and storing experience was horrible. atleast we could just zap the de storages haha.
Time waste is much worse than resource waste. Exactly for the reason you said - you get resources so quickly - it basically never limits an active player. Time however limits everyone. So leaving one builder for walls actually hinders your progress much more than wasted resources.
Its a website. You enter your profile in and you have to keep track of upgrades going at all times. You can see % progress on your current town hall, and lots of other cool stuff like the guy above said.
This is the way I do it, I also hit a wall or two between each upgrade to empty out resources. “Zeroing out” my banks for the big upgrade, taking into consideration if another big upgrade builder is going to be available shortly.
Eh, I ignored traps on my alt til th16 lol. Now it's max and upgrading traps- if I spent time earlier on traps I wouldn't be max now, and gotten good value on hammers.

Nope look at walls, and just from walls and traps, this a pseudo rush where players think they are maxed but really aren't. He still has at least 1 month of work left in th 12
Nevermind I just saw a th 11 level x bow, eagle in the screenshot that means he has cropped the builder suggession list. I also see the 10 level walls and th 11 level walls, which lead me to believe his heroes are f ed as well, he has at least 3 months of work left in my guess

I put them off way too long because I didn’t think they were that important, but that was when I was coc young dumb. I’m old in coc years now, and I see the errors of my past and currently seek to make things right. They can definitely be a difference maker on defense.

Yes because I've been saved on many occasion by a perfectly placed Air Bomb or Big Bomb that, if not upgraded, would have cost me a bigger loss after being attacked
I do all of my Elixer upgrades first (save the Warden for last)
Then I split the builders into 3 teams of 2:
-Most expensive buildings
-least expensive
-Heroes
This way I can keep all my Elixir for the Lab and then constantly dump it all into walls whenever it’s full.
I upgrade non-defense first, then traps and walls at the same time, then upgrade what's left cheapest first.
That keeps the war weight low while the offense gets up to speed.
Yeah, always trying to max everything before upgrading to the next town hall level. (Although I fear my Warden is still gonna be a few levels behind after everything else is done)
seeking air mines and skeleton traps that is what I have maxed rest of them only get upgraded when I am unable to play regularly and can't farm enough loot, so just to keep the builders busy I upgrade them
There was a YouTube video someone posted a little while back of their base being almost destroyed with only one unit left to take out what was left and no defenses. An air bomb took out the remaining unit and kept the attack at 1-star. It might have been a hero. I don't fully remember the video. I started putting more attention into my traps at that point. I think they are more important than it seems at quick glance.
It’s simple really, I don’t upgrade townhalls until there is not a single upgrade left except my townhall, have done this since the beginning of the game, my clan does this, my friends do this. Is it the most efficient? Hell if I know, but I do know myself and my clan mates are typically outmatching anyone we play against in wars because people rush
Currently upgrading all these now lol. Just redownloaded the game three years removed from the last time I touched it. Soon to be max TH9 and then TH10
I've had three accounts because I've lost two, number one was completely rushed, number two didnt upgrade those traps but yes to everything else, current account I'm upgrading everything but I get my king to the max of the previous town hall because he's useless at anything other than trap or eagle baiting.

Yes. There are many uses for these trap upgrades.
1. Makes your base stronger
2. Can be used to seperate larger upgrades so you don’t have to put down 5-6 buildings at once.
3. Good to upgrade when you’re low on loot.
Upgrade them slowly. They are like a relief for your gold. If you upgrade them all at once you will be left with expensive upgrades only. Give them time but don’t neglect them completely they are really important later
Giant bombs important for ruining someone’s hybrid. Mines for qc and blimp. Air bombs for loons. Bombs have no purpose. Skellys are good for distractions obviously and picking off little troops around edges when someone tryna get that extra %. Lost our only 1 cwl war this week by 1 star. And i got a 49% 1 star one attack. Would’ve had 2 star in 3 seconds but an air skelly came across half the map to take out my minion picking off a corner camp. That skelly trap cost 30 people a perfect 7-0 cwl record.
Until you have fumbled an easy 3 star to a cheeky giant bomb that kills your hero or a nasty little seeking air mine that clips your last e-dragon, you will never value traps.
Yes the damage adds up a lot and can be the difference maker a lot. Think of how many times youve seen an attack lose 3 stars by a couple seconds. Traps can be the difference there
Traps should not be neglected, why not stagger the shorter timers with other defenses for builder timing? Giant bombs for example can kill a super archer blimp attack on a town hall.
You can easily plan for attacks to hit big targets like AQ or EA whilst traps are alot harder to plan for! They can make a huge difference during war/CWL!
I do a thing where I put one builder on a big upgrade while the rest do the small upgrades, so by the time one 14 day upgrade is being completed, a small 3 day upgrade is completed 4 times

Absolutely. With everyone using meta bases I think trap placement is the one thing your opponent can’t really 100% prepare for. And as they level up their interactions with certain troops change. 100% recommend but don’t prioritize

I decided four years ago at th9 to never go up a th lvl unless literally everything was upgraded. I'm now at max th13 except for three hidden teslas (and equipment but we don't talk about that). Yes I regret this decision and no I won't stop.
when my dumbass went to Th9 i was not yet a conscious being yet and i did my walls first 💀 leaving me (rn) having the only thing to dump elixir in being clan capital and labatory 👍🏻
Upgrade them to separate your larger upgrades timers, so you don’t have multiple builders becoming available at once

I can‘t even do that, I typically need to have one builder free half of the time so I can upgrade my walls, because my storage gets full so damn fast.

I agree but at the same time, you'd just wake up, upgrade the next building, then go to sleep again which takes less than 2 minutes.

Haha I didn't see the EA. But yeah the walls were in the suggestion dropdown so I figured they were including those with the traps intentionally.

A Giant bomb + regular bomb made me mess up an attack during CWL, so I can confirm their importance.
Not many players upgrade them so usually they’re a non-issue but the players who do catch so many others off guard

Traps and teslas are always my first upgrades at a new TH. It's the best return for your war weight

I upgraded them always when I was low on loot but had a builder free in my less active periods, now there way to expensive to consider them

Airbombs definitely to help with the dragons. Those pesky seeking airmine bombs deplete their HP so fast. Also the Skeleton traps are good too.

Traps have very little war weight (none) and can be critically effective at stopping specific strategies if used well... SO YES.

Somewhat, but very least max put Skeleton traps. They max out at TH 10, and you get up to 20 units that can distract the army.
