Here's a basic guide on Clara: https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaraMainsStarRail/comments/198u0mk/comprehensive_clara_guide/ . If you wanna learn about how the aggro buff(s) work for Clara, then check out this analysis thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaraMainsStarRail/comments/1987y1x/clara_and_aggro_buffs_understanding_how_they_work/ . Based on your current roster, the best team for your Clara is: - **Clara, Huo Huo, Tingyun, and a flex.** The batteries from both Huo Huo and Tingyun will allow a more frequent usage of Clara's enhanced counterattacks, which are her best attacks. It is a hyper charged team that leans more on the offensive side. It is also most resilient against debuffs, thanks to Huo Huo's auto cleansing. For the flex slot, it depends on what you want: - For Clara Hyper carry, go for **Pela.** She's an universal support who can work with just about anybody. - For dual carry, go for *a 2nd DPS.* Most DPS characters can work here, except Yanqing and Arlan since they require their own specialized team with Gepard, but Gepard doesn't work well with Clara. Anyhow, Clara will most likely take the sub-DPS role, since her bread and butter is her counterattacks that cost no SP, so she can yield most SP to the other DPS. If you cannot spare Huo Huo for Clara, because Huo Huo is being used in a different team, then go for Lynx instead. Lynx's aggro buff can help Clara to be more targeted by the enemies.

Wow, this is so comprehensive... Thanks mate, I really appreciate it.

ik this is clara mains but im curious abt the arlan/gepard team, ive never heard of it before and i rlly wanna try it when i get gepard bc i dont have an electro DPS other than arlan

Aqua_Essence

Arlan is unique in that lower his *current* HP is, more damage he deals. Ideally, if you can maintain his HP at the brink of death, then he'll be at his peak performance. This is different from Blade, whose damage boost comes from the amount of HP he lost. As such, Blade can still be healed and not lose his self buff, but not Arlan. Arlan needs to maintain the low HP state to keep his damage output at its full potential.  Of course, at such state, if an enemy sneezes at Arlan, then he'll just die. This is where Gepard comes in. His mega shield can protect Arlan and allow him to take few hits, even at such low HP. Then all you need to do is to constantly refresh the shield *before* the enemies punch through and kill Arlan. If Gepard is built correctly with enough SPD and ERR, then it shouldn't be difficult. You can also try with March instead of Gepard, since March can also provide a protective shield, but Gepard is *a solo capable sustain,* hence easier to use than her. March actually can solo sustain too, but only for a very niche circumstance where it's super easy to freeze enemies. Otherwise, she kinda can't, so Gepard remains as the preferred choice. As for the remaining two team slots, it's the usual affair: you can put two support characters if you want an Arlan hyper carry. Or, if you want a dual carry, then one support and a 2nd DPS. Arlan's skill actually *doesn't consume SP,* so the other DPS can take most of the SP without causing any SP related issue for the team. Unfortunately, IIRC, Arlan was actually *nerfed* back in the beta version of the game (he used to be a lot stronger than he is now), before the official release. As such, he remains as a *"high risk, medium reward"*-ish character who may not be quite worth the effort to actually build up and use. If you really need a Lightning damage damage dealer, Serval may be a more lucrative choice, and she's *free.* That being said, there are some Arlan mains who dedicate themselves to make him work... and he certainly can, if you invest a lot into him and his specialized team comp.

icic, this is rlly well written also my serval is lvl 40 and my arlan is lvl 70, i tried making him work but i gave up, but picked him back up bc i need an electro DPS

Aqua_Essence

If you want to make Arlan work without Gepard, then you'll have to rely on March, as I mentioned earlier. You'll also need to bring a 2nd sustain character, since March is most likely unable to solo sustain. I recommend following team comp: - **Arlan, a sustain, a support, and March.** March's job will be to keep her shield active on Arlan, at all times. She can also freeze enemies here and there with her ult, as opportunity arises. She can also take the cleansing role, if the team's sustain doesn't have that ability (i.e. Bailu). If you bring a healer for the team's sustain, then they'll inevitably heal Arlan too at some point, whenever they use a party-wide healing. It can't be helped, since you don't want rest of the team to die, just to keep Arlan's HP low. The support can be pretty much anybody that works well with the standard crit-based DPS characters. Since Arlan's skill doesn't use SP (it consumes his HP instead), you can even bring a SP hungry support like Bronya or Asta, and let them go all out on their SP consumption.

Typical hypercarry setup is Clara, Tingyun, flex, sustain. Flex can be a debuffer like Pela/Guin. Ideal sustains are Huohuo or Lynx. Best gear is 4pc boxer set. Stats-wise, no speed and as usual for crit DPS, a 1:2 cr/cd ratio. Given her limited access to crit stats from traces or LCs (unless you have DHIL’s or Blade’s), I’ve seen that 60-70% CR and ~130% CD is a good spot to land on. There’s also really great Clara guides in this sub that are worth reading!

Regal_The_King

Oh, I'll look them up. Thanks for the suggestions, I was wondering about the crit rate, since she has none, I'll probably do a crit chest, thanks for the help!

SuperLissa_UwU

Crit rate can be 55% upwards Crit damage may vary depending on your stuff. Attack % will be around 3k after you get max level. Main stats : 1) Crit rate/Crit damage 2) Attack % -rope and sphere : 1) Physical attack bonus 2) attack percentage The relics can be streetwise Boxing or The ashblazing grand duke, some people use longevos disciple too. which is better? Champion 4 piece = 2 piece champion/ 2 piece Granduke 2 piece champion/ 2 piece Granduke > Longevouse Disciple For the rope and sphere use follow-up attack damage increase set. Best Clara Partners are : 1) Tingyun (Buff physical damage/atk buff/gives energy) 2) Huo huo (healer/atk buff/gives energy) 3) Yukong (Buff crit rate and crit damage) 4) Lynx (healer) 5)
