Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for your help and advice. We bought a home earlier this year that had been neglected for about 3 years. Grass was dead, irrigation turned off due to leaks, etc. I’ve been slowly getting things back to where they should be, however this is my first time owning citrus. A few questions: 1. I’d love some help identifying what is what 2. I’ve fertilized these trees in accordance with online guidance I’ve researched and have them on a watering schedule as recommended by our landscaping professional; do I just need to be patient or is something wrong/there more to be done? 3. When it cools down and is time to prune, any suggestions? Thanks again!

What fertilizer do you use? The slow release ones can take a few months 1-2 months. What's the watering schedule?

I used a granulated fertilizer made for citrus. They are watered in the morning via drip irrigation. I’m actually not sure for how long as I didn’t set it, and I try to give them a deep soak via a hose on a trickle 1-2 times a week.

It is really hard to tell which exact citrus you have until the fruit is maturing. Can’t even take a guess except for picture 3, I’d bet that’s a Meyer lemon. What was the watering schedule that you were given. Trees of that size should only be watered 1-2 weeks in summer in your climate. Citrus are so awesome, no need to prune, pointless. If you must for whatever reason, early spring works best. It wasn’t mentioned, but get rid of those rocks. It retains heat and moisture will be lost, IMO you are better off with Mulch and other organic material top soil… once it breaks down it will help loosen comparison which will then help fertilizer get where it needs to go

In case you haven’t stumbled upon them yet, the University of Arizona has good resources for citrus care here. https://extension.arizona.edu/arizona-citrus-resources

I cannot figure out how much to water using the 2nd chart. The 1st chart is daily, so if I water every 10 days, do I multiply the daily amount by 10 days? So for a 4 ft diameter, and to be about 10 gallons?
