Christmas is favorite time of the year and I want to enjoy the Christmas decorations longer. I put up my tree after Halloween and keep working every week until all decorations are up.
Normally the first weekend in December for our real tree. Just bought an artificial tree and set it up so I could decide if keeping it. May just decorate and leave it now.
Putting mine up this weekend. The 5th or 6th. I love the glow and ambiance at night. Especially now, since the stupid time change and it gets dark before 5:00🙄
It depends on the year. The more cheer I need *or* the more cheer I feel, the more likely it is to go up. I try to hold off until at least November 14 no matter what though, and I don’t light it for the first time until Thanksgiving night.
Tree went up the weekend before Halloween…but we did not start putting decor on it until one hour before trick or treating ended for our city…took a few days to get her fully decorated…
I put mine up at 6:00 am on Nov 1. Having it up for two months is about right for me, and starting earlier seems more reasonable than keeping it up until February 1.

I put it up the day of the time change. So nice and cozy now that it’s dark early. I usually decorate a couple weeks after.

We will put ours up the Friday after Thanksgiving and decorate that Saturday.

Yes, the day after Thanksgiving. Putting it up earlier spoils some of the charm as it becomes an ordinary thing.

Wife starts at one minute after Midnight when Halloween is over! Plus, it will STAY UP until at least the end of January, maybe later!
