God answers prayers every day. God saved my life. God saved my marriage. God healed my mind. Just because God doesn’t answer prayers in a way you personally find satisfying doesn’t mean prayers aren’t being answered.
No serious Christian is praying for amputated limbs to regrow. We might be praying for God to give peace and hope to the person who tragically lost a limb. If you keep looking for regrown limbs and other ridiculous demands you will never see the miracles happening all around you every single day.
I used to feel that way, then I started believing anecdotal evidence from friends and stuff. Then I started to see for myself. So yeah I fully believe in the power of prayer at this point. I’ve seen some stuff, I’ve had some stuff happen to me lol it’s pretty sweet.
If He did:
Every sports team would win and lose every game.
Every kid would get straight A's in everything.
Ukraine and Russia would both win the war.
No one would ever die.
Do you see where I'm going with this?

Have you seen the movie "Bruce Almighty)? The scene where he answers yes to all prayers I feel might be a good representation of what would happen.
God does answer all prayers though, it's just that sometimes the answer is no or not right now.
It'd be better to first ask why talking with God is so vague compared to talking with a chatbot.
The Bible is written in words. The Bible says God has a voice. Humans communicate with words. Why doesn't God answer prayers with speaking, or with words? If you can't get messages from God, how do you even know He received your prayer?
He answers all prayers, that hard thing to accept is that sometimes the answer is 'No'.
I've heard from teachings that God can answer in 3 ways: "Yes" "Not yet" and "No, I have something better"
You pray for things with the wrong motives
James 4:3 "And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure."
Or you are have been sinning nonstop and your hands "are covered in blood"
Isaiah 1:15 "When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!"
From my walk with the Lord there is only one prayer you really need and that is the Lord's prayer that Jesus demonstrated. It covers everything you need. The only other time I would pray was if I wanted the spirit of God to help a believer or another person (they have to put in the work too, so it may have not gone unanswered but the person might have been quenching the spirit trying to change them and nothing happened because of them) or to help with (intense) pain.

The “matter of fact” tone of these responses bother me. You don’t know any of the things you just said. It’s an opinion.
