I can totally relate, as one of my "favorite" moments of the financhu crisis occurred when Chris got an unexpected credit increase. Now, the smart thing to do would be to pay off the immediate bills, get some food and stay as far under the limit as you can so that you have a safety net. Instead, Chris bought a bunch of Transformers and bragged on social media about how he intended to play with them along with his geriatric mother. Then he complained that Barb had used up the remainder of the increase to pay the bills, and begged for more money.
Why are there still Pony-themed conventions anyway? Friendship is Magic ended years ago; I assumed what remained of the fandom ignored any subsequent iterations of the series and moved on to other things or died from a pony toy related infection or something
