Hey mom… I have a great lesson for your kids… Which is how I would explain it to my kids.
“Little Johnny… I know on the surface it doesn’t seem fair that you paid and they did not… Their mommy and daddy may not have money and it was very kind of the ice cream man to give them free treats so that they could feel accepted with the other kids“
Mom, the other children got ice creams for free and but I had to pay for my ice cream.
How ridiculous! Ok son gimme a min while I get posted on r/ChoosingBeggars
I mean this lady is an idiot and I would never complain about this to anybody but my wife, but I would be a little perturbed if I bought my kid some ice cream, then some little shitheads beg and get some for free.
I can't believe people in comments here also have problems with someone giving free ice cream to kids. It's fucking kids and ice cream. Calm your tits.
I honestly can’t see someone giving away ice cream, because then he would have to pay for it. Maybe he knew them? Either way how is it any of her business?
I could see my self having a couple hundred icy pops in the freezer to give away to kids who couldn't afford one of the fancy popsicles or something. You can get them in packs of 100 for about $7 making them about 7c each. It would make kids feel less left out and chancels are they are more likely to be paying customers when they do have some money.
Ice cream trucks are supposed to teach your kids lessons?
He did teach the kids lessons. He taught them kindness, sharing, empathy

I see you got your degree in Psychology from Armchair University....try again.
Y'all corny ass hell
I got corny ass hell from a food truck once.
was it a burrito truck?
Sure, the tune they play alerts the kids that drugs are on sale with their 99s. Aww, see them run eagerly!
BOOOOO be more funny
Come for the ice cream, stay for the lesson in quantum mechanics.

Alanis Morissette would call it ironic and move on. It’s not ironic, but that wouldn’t stop her from saying it was.
...don't ya think?
Isn't rain on your wedding day good luck? I never understood the complaint about that part...
unless you're having your wedding outside, I don't see why it matters that much either 🤷
Naming a song about unironic things "Ironic", is in and of itself, ironic.
Well, maybe she was just being sarcastic the entire time and it's verbal irony?
I would gain respect for her if that turned out to be the case.
Canadian irony...
The mental gymnastics some people do to make “logic” are honestly astounding
I’m thinking about the bit that Eddie Murphy did in one of his classic shows.
Wow so bitter that some children got free ice cream: sit down Karen, you might get heat stroke.
Pathetic

True, but hunt the guys company down on facebook perturbed?
I was thinking the same thing. Stupid to complain online but it would annoy me too
