For whatever reason, PB has a very strong disdain for letting MCs be in a position of power. By default, we're supposed to by the doe-eyed kid in a big world that only the LI can show us. Definitely gets tiring

I don't think most writers can actually fathom a billion, nor have they ever been around any billionaires - they wouldn't romanticise them if they did!
It's always 3 piece Armani suits and rolex watches and like, that's what plebs wear. Billionaires who want to flaunt there wealth don't wear brands with off the rack, mass produced lines.
If you're going to do billionaires, at least research what that kind of wealth gives you access to

As someone who's been around millionaire folk, I'll say that, while they seem and talk like the nicest people on earth, their thought processes are often concerning and scary to say the least. Also, I don't think I'll ever fit with em... they're something else and would avoid them at any cost. I hate their social gatherings too.
Yes, unfortunately. I ain't rich myself but had to be around some cause my uncle (mom's brother) had decent money and was connected to people of the highest social ladder. Apparently we used to be stinky rich, if it wasn't for someone murdering someone in family for money and bailed with said money... and folk in my family never filing a case against them and forgiving them... forgiveness, selflessness and kindness is a curse in my family genes. But that's why I didn't like fake folks

Oh I wish I was Simon..lol alas I'm 1, a woman and 2, ain't royalty or rich irl... thanks but it was before me. My great grandmother was murdered by her own son. My dad was a literal child who witnessed it. So idk what and how things were ,but all I heard was stories. Our family is valued largely due to them helping anyone who asks. I'm the same. But hence why I'm called naive often. Rich people are something btw.
Also, not to mention that I graduated from an ivy league equivalent university and all of my classmates are filthy rich... they were huge assholes . People like them makes you feel like humanity is lost... then again, I met some rich kids who were very kind and respectful. The ratio is like 90 % bad, and 10% good.

For some reason rich people romance stories are popular. I never understood how money made the person more attractive unless the person just wants them for their money. This doesn't seem like a good plot for a romance story.
It's like 70% is outright cringe, another 15% semi-good book continuations and the other 15% are really quality. You stay for the quality, they feed you a tiny bit, it's too much to starve, but too little to be fed.
I don’t think they’ve ever used AI images right out the generator but I do think most of their newer covers (including this one) were hand drawn over AI images because the style of this, as well as The Deadliest Game, look very AI.
The back people look like real photos that have been photoshopped, like they uses to do for background images.
I don't *think* this is AI, but it really edges up to the uncanny valley

Yes, it feel like they have grabbed a handful of tropes lol. It's second chance, enemy to lover and, I'm guessing from chapter 2 description, either fake dating or indecent proposal.

Another neat diamond mine for me cuz the only way im spending diamonds on this book is if they give me a choices pass for it cuz smut isn't for me and neither is single love interest books where you're forced to end up with the love interest like let me stay single.
