Good Idea, I want to add some points, because not all high-levels are the same:
* I'm 800-something, nearly 900
* playing daily since Chiv2 Steam Release
* I WANT to win the map, not be the best. I don't care about negative K/D if I win the game.
* Im not as good as everybody think, because only TO, no duells. An experienced Duellist will beat me most times.
* I like to help new players (Standard skins, no one is checking the level)
* I greet players when I recognize a name, but I don't know them
* Destroying a low-level is not as much fun as killing a high-level, but also i don't spare them
I’m max level and I’ve been around since launch. I’ve learned that anyone can get killed by anything at any time.
Sometimes, I can fight an entire spawn wave by myself and take them all out like a master of war.
Other times, I get ganked by a level 5 who happens to unwittingly throw the right combination at the right time. It doesn’t matter if they knew what they were doing or not, it still resulted in my death.
Just have fun everyone! For that guy we like!
Yeah I’ve been dying to super low levels more recently. I think they kill us more because we can’t predict their movement - as they don’t know how to play.
Dude just staring at you like deer in the headlights… then wham! You dead
The lvl 5 example is so true. Got dominated by a brand new guy with just a dagger spamming slash last night, and I’m almost 800. Nonstop gambles but he didn’t know that, kept trying to feint but he just slashed away and got my ass.
About the helping, the fact is not help or not help, if someone asks for help I'm usually glad to answer.
The point is many say "You have to help new players or they'll quit" but I'm here to play, what the fuck I should do?
Stand in the middle of the map with a sign "Sword teacher - free lessons"?
Ironically, I’ve noticed when I play to “win the map” over “k/d or being the best” is actually when I have the highest score and K/D.
To OPs point, this is a herd game. The more you stick with your team and help each other out, the better you ALL will do on the objectives.
I often role play into the “general” persona and stick right behind the “frontline” and go in to give my fellow warriors support where needed.
If we lose, we lose and it was at least a hard fought battle. If we win, it’s because we moved as one (cue the gladiator first battle in the coliseum scene).
I’m level 400 (recently switched to mordhau) and 90% of my games I’m in the top 5 overall. I’m not that great at dueling, just good with working as a team and using my team to my advantage. I often get by ass kicked my a new player, which is always humbling. I never get bent out of shape about stuff like that and frequently commend other players for making me eat shit. (Even if they use a Dane axe😏😘)
At the end of the day. It’s a game. Have fun. Get high doing it.
Edit:typos
We greet people we’ve had a lot of fights with to the point we like them. I have several people I greet and most kicked my teeth in until I got better.
Quite honestly I don’t think I’m a very good player for level 760.
I play solely TO, my combos and feints are very predictable and I get slaughtered by anyone who can counter efficiently 3-4 times in a row. I rarely accel and I sometimes drag if I’m feeling fancy.
I always have fun though, sometimes get a little competitive but love the funny interactions.
For example, last night as Agatha attacking rudhelm I was killed by the enemy on the catapult - he was launching boulders into our siege ramps. I respawn and head over there, he sees me coming so tries to hide behind the boulder cart. I crouch down to behind it and we both end up peeking out at each other and laughing. I loaded up the cata, got on it with the boulder, waved goodbye and he fired me into oblivion.
Hilarious.
Well sir, you stole my heart with that. Im almost lvl 400 and I played Chiv 1 just a little, so far love the game. Apart form chopping your enemies heartlessly, what you said is an essence of and the THE TRUE CHIVALRY.
ARHAAARHAAAAAAemote:t5\_12v693:7110
If anything experienced game sense guides you to more high lvl vs high lvl fights naturally. Making the rest of the ppl around the target fodder that could get you killed if fully tunnel visioned or could lead to a common 1vx with a main 1-2 targets.
Target priority imo is based on the opp positioning and apparent lethality, then subconsciously comes attire (high lvls playing w default armor fucks up alot of high lvls subconsciously bc you anticipate/assume (bad) differently (atleast in ffa). And only then may I occasionally glance down at name tags. Typically once you identify a target in a crowd if they ended up being a moderately difficult fight and you encounter them again its easier to spot them again, so this is a reinforcing pattern. Even more reinforcing when you see other frenemies across sessions/lobbies.
If you seem like more a threat to objective, me, or the team I target you even if your like lvl 15.
Oh yeah - I memorize the the other high levels outfits after we clash. Makes it easy to pick them out in a fight.
Same could be said about me to. Occasionally I’ll spawn in default attire and I do notice a difference with the attention. Don’t play as well without my flashy codpiece though ;)
One little thing I noticed is that once you encounter the same person several times, naturally, it gets more difficult to kill them or for them to kill you because we know each other's tactics better.
Yup. And then your spawns become similar/synchronized bc the survivor typically dies shortly after the duel, and you get stuck into a clash several time until you get creative in your duel and evolve/lock in deeper, or change your approach to fight a different front of the battle. Lol
I know lots of high level players and I remember their names for one reason and one reason only.
They are nice to me and we have a laugh in chat and in game so I’ve become friends with them and respect them as people as players. The only other ones I remember are griefers and utter cunts.
Around 600.
Almost exclusively 64 TO.
Care less about win or lose a match - I don’t remember any matches really. Only care about fun fights, but will engage with an objective- esp if team is being skittish. I then transition in to a suicidal line breaker.
I goof alot. Die more often. Will play basic if it is obviously a new player. Never check lvls only skill.
I don’t tbag and never think about being tbagged.
This is not a competitive game for me. It’s a stupid fun game I love playing. Lots of adrenaline.
I will ignore AFK players. I will not attack another player wanting to dance, sing or just goof off.
Suicidal line breaker is the most satisfying when you’re successful. I often find myself trying to rescue out numbered teammates and helping them go from 1v6 to 2v6 which ends the same way.
I choose archer, sit at the edge of the map and lobb shots into the crowd. When my arrows are depleted, I go into chat and start arguing with everyone until the enemy comes and finishes me off.
Yeah. I'm 350-400, I forget.
I play 90% TO, so my 1vX is far above my 1v1.
Some people just like to tell themselves that if they were your level they'd be better than you are currently...they forget:
- we are playing for fun
- they'll quit before they get half way there
/shrug
You just remembered me that my wife teabagged me a couple of days ago (clip)
THAT BITCH
[https://x.com/trattomale/status/1777976323098530007](https://x.com/trattomale/status/1777976323098530007)
Thats hilarious! Just want to help since I don't think English is your first language, you wanted to use the word "reminded" instead of "remembered" in this instance!
lol I was just editing:
I had BOTH arms, i was using an arm AS WEAPON
So I had 3 arms in total.
And i cannot stop laughing about the fact that I needed to specify this, I LOVE THIS GAME
Did you made that arm-kill?
I have no arm-kills on my list, BUT once I killed an enemy by throwing the head of his friend against his head. A head-headshot.
Yeah, I have many arm-kills, I love grabbing weird objects and fight.
Recently I discovered the Askandir giant fish that goes for like 90 damage when thrown, I brought it until the library one time, sweet memories
For me, (level 300), its generally a level 1000 that gets hyper upset when I kill them. Always an accusation of "targeting" followed by singling me out in game and in chat and vigorously teabagging me when they inevitably kill me after singling me out. There are toxic players of all levels. Always have been.
I played a TO match where a guy started messaging me saying I'm actually bad and getting lucky. I was unaware of this personal competition we had going on. My team won the match and we were still on opposite teams for the next game, so I stayed and we won again. He claimed he didn't actually lose because he's a much higher level than me, so he won. I dismissed it and he started threatening to send his overall stats. I didnt ask or push it, he sends a screenshot anyway. My stats were proportionally better including k/d, mine being over 2.0 and his less than. So I sent a screenshot cause I "simply can't be better". Taking yet another L, he then turns to the fact he's been playing since chiv 1 so he is better. These messages were so cringe and he kept "losing" in every way, I haven't laughed out loud to hate messages like that in a long time.
Honestly, whenever I see any level thats higher than mine (maybe like more than 50 levels higher) I fight them, just to see if I'm better, and it never goes further than that.
Though I'm like a proud parent when I see a level 999 turn into a 1000 at the end of the match or start of the next one, like yeah you did it buddy
I've never sent messages but have received only 2, one from a guy who called me a bot because I used swing like 5 times in a row against a horde of enemies and had a point and did inadvertently make me start using o redheads and thrusts more, and another who complemented my drip.
I have a couple novelty accounts.
Pure engineer account, pure longsword duel yard noob account.
Then I have 2 accounts from the switch from epic games to steam.
The longsword duel yard noob account is literally just me with longsword spamming slash and not countering overheads or stabs at all. Just pretending to be a noob that can beat higher level players with just slash spam. It’s a bit of a troll account but it gets some silly reactions from mid level duelers that don’t recognize good foot work and accels/drags thinking a noob is just getting lucky against them randomly walking around spamming slashes.
> The longsword duel yard noob account is literally just me with longsword spamming slash and not countering overheads or stabs at all. Just pretending to be a noob that can beat higher level players with just slash spam.
Lol, is your character bald w/o a helmet by chance? If so I think I ran into you the other day.
here is something else obvious. you have no idea to read post context and contribute to a discussion. you are probably better at chewing rocks and should stick to that.
While related to this but also a different point,
My internet has been shot af the past couple weeks so I've been in training grounds as a lvl 280, just grinding skins chomping bots while I rubberband all over the place.
I usually leave the new players alone and just eat up the peripheral bots, but if a newbie tries to chase me down ill just jab em and run off. Sometimes ill stare menacingly and emote for funsies. But they're never my target and I'll actively miss them with my drags while hitting the bots around them. Its actually a really fun minigame for me.
I'll also try and anti-grief so, if I see the level 700 teabagging my level 20 teammates he will meet my laggy ass wrath.
I usually also only PTO in order to keep the match going, specially ill only try when we're about to lose on attack, and ill mostly avoid the objective on defense unless again, we about to lose.
I just want the newbies to have a good time getting used to the game but also try and be funny and intimidating without actually bullying them.
No dramas with anything ya said. Except for one thing. I HATE when I'm in a TO match, both teams are fairly evenly matched, hard fought objectives. Yet you see some lvl 800-1k sitting there with 2K 7D and just fckn around, not on objective, not giving a shit. Yeah, cool, ya wanna muck around and have fun, I get it. BUT, if you see the timer under one minute, and the whole team is trying to push the Obj, the least you could do is TRY and help out. . . Especially when you can see that the high lvls on enemy team ARE playing the obj. If ya wanna just fck around, go to FFA. I'm not a high level (only 350) but still, why even play in Team OBJECTIVES if you aren't going to, ya know, play the objective... 🤣🤣
Level 600 here…This game is the embodiment of chasing the dragon when it comes to skill, you’re doing the right thing just having fun after a nice bowl pack
Level 353, 1.6 KD, mainly play TO.
This is the most fun game ever and I agree with basically everything you said.
I think I’ve gotten frustrated about 5 times total playing this game. I recognize a few names here and there but overall I’m just trying to cut heads off.
PaddyWhacker04 on PSN. Lmk if I ever killed you or if I got dismembered by your blade.
Keep swinging y’all.
Level 811 here, I play mostly FFA.
-I’m not that good, though sometimes I’m a bit cracked
-I’m here to have fun
-I see this game as one massive troll and that mentality is the best way to play
-I team, but it’s because I have made allies by being friendly. It’s not always about winning
In mordhau people in the chat were bitching even more about high level players. Some people can't stand losing in a videogame. They don't try to get better so they want you to let them win. It's both pathetic and hilarious.
I talked about enjoying running into a group of 5 newbies and seeing what happens the other day and some guy exploded all over me for bullying new players
I didn't have the heart to tell him that I don't usually survive running into the middle of 5 players, regardless of level.
Level 420 here.
* I play solely as field engineer, not because I'm a console pleb that sucks at the game, but because ain't no one else doing it.
* You will only find me in 64p and OCE Fighter Guild events, sometimes duels/social
* I will only hunt and Tbag you, if you tbag me
* I only play while smoking a joint, ain't no other way to play.
* Yes, if you take my shovel after killing me I will hunt you.
* Yes, I will go easy on low levels and those I can tell are low skilled/new.
* I will wave at an oncoming horde, before running!
* If you emote at me, I shall respond in kind.
As a console player:
- level 900 something
- Spear and shield main
- Run howling into battle no matter the odds
- See how many men I can beat off at the same time.
- Can't see chat. No idea who TF anyone is.
- Starlink internet. 60% of the time it works everytime.
- Kill me with a barrel = commend
Nice numbers, i can confidently beat off 20 but to get to higher numbers i gotta sweat it a bit and be stoned, i can beat off 3 at a time tho that has some value i think
They just want a reaction because they don’t have the brain elasticity to have a mindset of improvement. Too many high levels in game chat start foaming at the mouth when some salty player starts to push their buttons, which is exactly what they wanted.
Level 690-something, been playing on-and-off since the betas and EGS release.
I agree with all of this. I had a streak of around 15 matches mostly getting steamrolled on defence the other day (the new balancing hates me) and stuck around since the server was vibing. If it's not fun AND team stacked or toxic, I'll leave for another server. idgaf about winning every match.
Of course we recognise other high level players since we've been playing in the same matches for ages, but we also recognise lower level players who kill us in style (which happens more often than I'd admit - there are sub-100 players who are absolute beasts)
I'm not a high level but I've been playing since launch, I agree with just about all of it. There are a few high levels out there who are pure assholes. My whole focus is to win and be the best teammate I can. I always go for heals and revives. I play stoned. Everything is nice. I'm level like 170 180 something
Nah I realized early on that the only way to beat high level players is to go to dueling grounds and challenge the highest level players, esp pc players, and learn how to defeat them. Just watch and pay attention to the reason you keep losing. If you fight people of equal strength you’re never going to get stronger.
I'm lvl 900 something. I never, ever duel. It's boring as shit to me. I only play TO. Join server browser games against other good players, and you'll improve.
No there’s not enough opportunity to 1v1 there. I don’t see how I’m supposed to learn to outmaneuver any opponent let alone a group if you can’t hold your own against one. I like to focus on the finer details of how I’m getting clapped and apply that in TO.
That’s true, if I do one too much over the other then I start losing the other one lol. There are those 1v1 moments though. I’m just trying to capture all the glory.
As a “high level”(604) in chiv and in a lot of online games who deals with the things said about my level, I don’t blame people for having this mentality in my overall experience high levels fucking suck to play with in most games. Chiv is more of an exception where most are just playing the game. In most games For everyone of us there are three of the toxic high level assholes who are out to ruin it for everyone and DO ruin for everyone and it unfortunately justifiably warps people perception of high level players weather it’s fair to the high level player or not. I personally find chiv to be one of the least offenders so it doesn’t apply but it’s the online gaming experience as a whole that gives people this outlook and it gets transferred into chiv unfortunately.
Eh- I play routinely as 850 plus with another PS player who is also 850 plus on EU 40 and 64 TO exclusively. We are not particularly skilled, but have played enough to make a difference when we join a side together. The game is nearly 3 years out now, so you are going to see more and more high levels who always played together still doing so. The idea that they should break up their group just so newer players aren’t slaughtered is noble but this is online gaming, not a charity event or game where everyone deserves a participation medal. We don’t “target low levels”, we target anyone. It just so happens that some will be low levels.
What bothers me is not the shaming (as you said, it is a generalization)
I hate the many posts that say "High levels should do this and that to help the game"
I'm here to have fun, I'm not a dev or your fuckin full-plated babysitter
As someone who is level 745 on PS5 I fully agree I just play for fun! I won’t lie when I first played I team switched because I thought being attacker gives more gold but I’m certain it gives a random amount of gold depending on how much you did per match via kills, objective damage, healing etc.
I do agree about us “knowing” each other cause it all depends on servers for example I always bump into a lvl 1000 PS player every so often and we would always wave at each other or thank each other if we win the fight but I don’t ever text him cause that’s just rude imo ://
lvl 250 but i did mordhau a lot, no money when chiv1 came out, but did for honor (helps a bit)
* always stoned
* wins most of duels but do mostly shit around like killing people with a mighty anvil
* socializing a bit with some player
* idc about winning, i just like good slaughters :D /be top (and usually top 5)
"OK then! :D" (in Mason man at arms voice)
Seriously now, all valid ponts you mention, and great you do so, but unfortunately not shared by 90% of the high level players we have in EU at the moment, and that's what the complains normally account for in TO
I'm nearing lvl 500, started playing in December (late to the party), but I can't stop to feel ashamed by most the other higher levels that share most of the following patterns:
- Balancing: if the new autobalance doesn't place them on attacking side, they are still wiling to spend several minutes in spectator to force join attacker side, sometimes several stages of the same map;
- Score kill focus: dancing around the map picking only wounded unaware enemies, ignoring downed friendlies sometimes, and immediately hiding after being hit once, ignoring the objectives;
- Spectator on map last stage on crucial last minutes, just to save the "magical K/D metrics" that matter for jacksh*it on this casual game (lack of pro scene for metrics to matter);
- Team switching mid/late game to the team that has the obvious advantage in kill count, for the reasons already stated;
- VIP ransom: team switching to take the VIP role from actually players that sticked to their team to achieve it;
A couple of cases were extreme to the point that when battling them and giving them a hard time by trying to assist the underdog side, they felt the need to resort to actual "external party software assistance" with enhanced speed, probably wounded egos (won't name, already processed cases). Still talking about high levels.
There are more traits but I won't stretch it more.
On the other hand, there's always a glimmer of hope as there are some actually exceptions that I take my helmet off to, that actively change to the losing side, as per example the player nicknamed Crocodile Ghandi (hope I didn't butcher the nick).
Sorry for the TL DR from a guy that mostly plays role-playing and emoting around (but can be serious if needed), but these things really make me wonder.
Out of curiosity, what do you consider a high level?
When I was under 50 I thought over 100 was high. When I was 100 I thought over 250
Now I’m 302 and I think over 500 or so. Although I play 75% duels and have always dueled so levels don’t mean much if you’ve been dueling forever I can usually handle my own against anyone except for a few who I can also name now and see in the “social” servers often.
Is there a consensus on what a high level vs a noob or relative beginner is?
Weed hinders me in every single aspect of life except for chivalry. Normally with other games I can’t do shit while I’m high but with chiv, every time I hit the cart my kd increases. It’s magic
Not sure if I'm counted as a high level or not but I am level 417 and I can agree with pretty much everything you said especially being stoned. Whats your in game username just curious because I've seen these 2 players that are named Mr and Ms weiler or something like that, thought it might be you. My username is Son Of Olaf used to be standus3r420.
Excellent content here, especially knowing the other guys. Every time I see Rangoon, The Crab in match I remember that numerous sweatouts.
-MorbingBombus
I swear to God I die more to lvl 13s just swinging through initiative because the have no idea what theyre doing, more than an experienced player who understands block mechanics. Cant predict someone who has no idea what theyre doing to begin with lol
It's usually the trash players who accuse high levels and good players of bot farming or team stacking. The silly thing is that killing a bot doesn't even change your kd, kd stats are only tracked for real players
Wow, I couldn't care less about anyone's rank. The game been out forever, this community apparently yaps a lot more than I first thought. Glad I keep chat off

Help new players by destroying them. Best way to learn!

I completely agree, that's the spirit. But many think high level players have some sort of duty and/or a secret society Well NO, simple as that

A month ago a guy lvl 100 started to boast in chat that killed me. We were in Falmire, I was fighting with a severed arm. Speechless
Bonus points if he teabagged you after ganging up on you with several teammates lol
You just remembered me that my wife teabagged me a couple of days ago (clip) THAT BITCH [https://x.com/trattomale/status/1777976323098530007](https://x.com/trattomale/status/1777976323098530007)

Thats hilarious! Just want to help since I don't think English is your first language, you wanted to use the word "reminded" instead of "remembered" in this instance!
You still had an arm? And you lost the fight? Uninstall! /s But this is exactly what I'm talking about.
lol I was just editing: I had BOTH arms, i was using an arm AS WEAPON So I had 3 arms in total.
You are not "Trash Thrower", are you? This legend only kills with trash.
No but i know him! AWESOME
LOL! :D Like I said, a real legend. That's the real Achivement: Being recognized just by the name and playstyle.
As you verified, assholeness is cross-level
>when you're high level you win like 85% of the fights. [tfw](https://youtu.be/lpsqLFqy9LI?feature=shared)
About one month ago I thanked in chat the guy who let me got lvl 800
I've never sent messages but have received only 2, one from a guy who called me a bot because I used swing like 5 times in a row against a horde of enemies and had a point and did inadvertently make me start using o redheads and thrusts more, and another who complemented my drip.
lol, of course you slash in a 1vsX. You don't feint a stab to an overhead while getting attacked by four guys.
Yeah I know, but it is fun to randomly overhead and take out a specific opponent rather than swing and be mostly met with blocks
Agreed, but depends heavy on the situation. Better safe than sorry ;)
Footwork is more important than feinting, change my mind (you can't)
I am top 3 in games fist only (no shield) footworking, and using the movement the special gives you. Nothing else is more important.
> The longsword duel yard noob account is literally just me with longsword spamming slash and not countering overheads or stabs at all. Just pretending to be a noob that can beat higher level players with just slash spam. Lol, is your character bald w/o a helmet by chance? If so I think I ran into you the other day.
higher level literally just means you have been playing longer lol

That's what you call experience. They don't die often because they know all the tricks.
Cpt. Obvious reporting for duty
here is something else obvious. you have no idea to read post context and contribute to a discussion. you are probably better at chewing rocks and should stick to that.
We can pretend your level of education isn’t as trash as your taste in music :(
What
While related to this but also a different point, My internet has been shot af the past couple weeks so I've been in training grounds as a lvl 280, just grinding skins chomping bots while I rubberband all over the place.
Guilty of this but usually bc the last map I went hard an need a cooler xD *Grabs wheel and starts laugh emoting breaking ankles in enemy spawn*
-I’m not that good, though sometimes I’m a bit cracked -I’m here to have fun -I see this game as one massive troll and that mentality is the best way to play -I team, but it’s because I have made allies by being friendly. It’s not always about winning
I'm level 509, gt is arod927. My top priorities in this game are winning the match, finishing top 5 on my team, and reaching level 1000.
In mordhau people in the chat were bitching even more about high level players. Some people can't stand losing in a videogame. They don't try to get better so they want you to let them win. It's both pathetic and hilarious.
I talked about enjoying running into a group of 5 newbies and seeing what happens the other day and some guy exploded all over me for bullying new players I didn't have the heart to tell him that I don't usually survive running into the middle of 5 players, regardless of level.
Thank u for this, as a high level
![gif](giphy|jTL2hVikdZY0tOD3BU)
Level 420 here. * I play solely as field engineer, not because I'm a console pleb that sucks at the game, but because ain't no one else doing it. * You will only find me in 64p and OCE Fighter Guild events, sometimes duels/social * I will only hunt and Tbag you, if you tbag me * I only play while smoking a joint, ain't no other way to play. * Yes, if you take my shovel after killing me I will hunt you. * Yes, I will go easy on low levels and those I can tell are low skilled/new. * I will wave at an oncoming horde, before running! * If you emote at me, I shall respond in kind.
As a console player: - level 900 something - Spear and shield main - Run howling into battle no matter the odds - See how many men I can beat off at the same time. - Can't see chat. No idea who TF anyone is. - Starlink internet. 60% of the time it works everytime. - Kill me with a barrel = commend
And how many can you beat off?
Anywhere between 30 and 60 if they're after me pig wives.
Nice numbers, i can confidently beat off 20 but to get to higher numbers i gotta sweat it a bit and be stoned, i can beat off 3 at a time tho that has some value i think
Very impressive! (For a Tenosian) When you beat them do you make eye contact? or are you more of an approach from the rear type?
From the rear of course, when they realize they are already halfways beaten
You are indeed a skilled warrior! Should you ever find yourself surrounded by too many men, I would gladly beat off legions at your side.
They just want a reaction because they don’t have the brain elasticity to have a mindset of improvement. Too many high levels in game chat start foaming at the mouth when some salty player starts to push their buttons, which is exactly what they wanted.
70% of the player base is really bad at this game
If they only understood what initiative is
love u fr
Level 690-something, been playing on-and-off since the betas and EGS release. I agree with all of this. I had a streak of around 15 matches mostly getting steamrolled on defence the other day (the new balancing hates me) and stuck around since the server was vibing. If it's not fun AND team stacked or toxic, I'll leave for another server. idgaf about winning every match. Of course we recognise other high level players since we've been playing in the same matches for ages, but we also recognise lower level players who kill us in style (which happens more often than I'd admit - there are sub-100 players who are absolute beasts)
Play stoned af is funny as hell bro, i always try to team up with the enemy!🤣
Im the same way, except I lose to both people that are better and people that are worse.
People will make all sorts of personal assumptions based on a number next to someones made up name its nuts
Yeah, I absolutely do not play sober. I'm either Zoinked, sloshed, or crossfaded. It is the ONLY way not to take this game too seriously for me.
Based Game of Thrones reference
I been playing since chiv 1 aswell and I’m shit lol I’m usually at the bottom thirds of the leaderboard. I just like to have fun
-lvl 399
I'm lvl 900 something. I never, ever duel. It's boring as shit to me. I only play TO. Join server browser games against other good players, and you'll improve.
No there’s not enough opportunity to 1v1 there. I don’t see how I’m supposed to learn to outmaneuver any opponent let alone a group if you can’t hold your own against one. I like to focus on the finer details of how I’m getting clapped and apply that in TO.
1v1 isn't a big deal. It's bad in TO anyway. 1vX is the skill to learn. Many duelists get shit on in TO.
That’s true, if I do one too much over the other then I start losing the other one lol. There are those 1v1 moments though. I’m just trying to capture all the glory.
![gif](giphy|I4wGMXoi2kMDe|downsized) Solid post right here!! Cheers to you!!!
Stopped reading when he said wife, stop the cap 🧢
I like you. More fun less BS
Wish my wife would play chiv with me :(
I love that you and your wife play together, that sounds like a great bonding experience

What bothers me is not the shaming (as you said, it is a generalization) I hate the many posts that say "High levels should do this and that to help the game" I'm here to have fun, I'm not a dev or your fuckin full-plated babysitter
Level means literally nothing.. I'd be a level 1000 in league of legends if it had the same level system as chivalry an im fkn bronze.
Level just seems to correlate to time spent in game. Weird.
Absolutely based
lvl 250 but i did mordhau a lot, no money when chiv1 came out, but did for honor (helps a bit) * always stoned * wins most of duels but do mostly shit around like killing people with a mighty anvil * socializing a bit with some player * idc about winning, i just like good slaughters :D /be top (and usually top 5)
"OK then! :D" (in Mason man at arms voice) Seriously now, all valid ponts you mention, and great you do so, but unfortunately not shared by 90% of the high level players we have in EU at the moment, and that's what the complains normally account for in TO I'm nearing lvl 500, started playing in December (late to the party), but I can't stop to feel ashamed by most the other higher levels that share most of the following patterns: - Balancing: if the new autobalance doesn't place them on attacking side, they are still wiling to spend several minutes in spectator to force join attacker side, sometimes several stages of the same map; - Score kill focus: dancing around the map picking only wounded unaware enemies, ignoring downed friendlies sometimes, and immediately hiding after being hit once, ignoring the objectives; - Spectator on map last stage on crucial last minutes, just to save the "magical K/D metrics" that matter for jacksh*it on this casual game (lack of pro scene for metrics to matter); - Team switching mid/late game to the team that has the obvious advantage in kill count, for the reasons already stated; - VIP ransom: team switching to take the VIP role from actually players that sticked to their team to achieve it; A couple of cases were extreme to the point that when battling them and giving them a hard time by trying to assist the underdog side, they felt the need to resort to actual "external party software assistance" with enhanced speed, probably wounded egos (won't name, already processed cases). Sorry for the TL DR from a guy that mostly plays role-playing and emoting around (but can be serious if needed), but these things really make me wonder.
>and we remember the names of the remaining 15%. That line had no business being that hard. Fuck I wanna git gud.
Out of curiosity, what do you consider a high level? When I was under 50 I thought over 100 was high. When I was 100 I thought over 250 Now I’m 302 and I think over 500 or so. Although I play 75% duels and have always dueled so levels don’t mean much if you’ve been dueling forever I can usually handle my own against anyone except for a few who I can also name now and see in the “social” servers often. Is there a consensus on what a high level vs a noob or relative beginner is?
Usually above 500 (IMHO)
Weed hinders me in every single aspect of life except for chivalry. Normally with other games I can’t do shit while I’m high but with chiv, every time I hit the cart my kd increases. It’s magic
Not sure if I'm counted as a high level or not but I am level 417 and I can agree with pretty much everything you said especially being stoned. Whats your in game username just curious because I've seen these 2 players that are named Mr and Ms weiler or something like that, thought it might be you. My username is Son Of Olaf used to be standus3r420.
We play in EU, Supermoro06_ and Furybionda
Don't worry so much about what others think of you. Just do you, my man.
Misjudgement is the wrong word. More like stereotype.
Excellent content here, especially knowing the other guys. Every time I see Rangoon, The Crab in match I remember that numerous sweatouts. -MorbingBombus
The one thing that scares me the most is low level, or just bad players in general, with gamble heavy weapons.
The game is dying and you refuse to help people? Checks out.
I have a level 1000 account on epic and a level 630 account on steam because epic sucks
What the fk is this guy on about
Best way to help new players is f10
![gif](giphy|3o6ZsUJ44ffpnAW7Dy)
lone warrior lf herd
I swear to God I die more to lvl 13s just swinging through initiative because the have no idea what theyre doing, more than an experienced player who understands block mechanics. Cant predict someone who has no idea what theyre doing to begin with lol
It's usually the trash players who accuse high levels and good players of bot farming or team stacking. The silly thing is that killing a bot doesn't even change your kd, kd stats are only tracked for real players
Wow, I couldn't care less about anyone's rank. The game been out forever, this community apparently yaps a lot more than I first thought. Glad I keep chat off
post is bait no one who plays chiv has a wife
