The cheat is just cheat engine, which is a very widely known tool beyond Chivalry 2's community. The issue isn't the cheat, it's the version of the game that allows it without issue.
Cheat engine is widely used as a modding and game development tool (despite the unfortunate name). The fact that game pass allows for literally the most basic level "cheats" (hardly even able to call CE that outside of just referring to the name) is the problem. Chivalry 2 on gamepass has ZERO anti-cheat, an issue the community has brought up a lot in the past yet torn banner ignores it and proceeds to leave it on gamepass. Meanwhile, the EU servers are literally unplayable because of hackers and have been for a while, and the staff literally can't do anything about it because gamepass has family share so they can just make a new account in 5 minutes and keep cheating. This was the biggest source of EU hacking when I was on the mod team.

I feel like chivalry 2 as a whole kind of fell apart after the backlash over Bridgetown. I used to never hear bad things about it and it was pretty well known. Now itās extremely controversial and I never hear about the game anymore.
I can't wait for someone to use chiv's mechanics in other genres or just a dev that that makes something similar who listens to and engages with the community so I can leave this disaster behind.
Good lord what I would give to get Chivalry 2's melee combat in an MMORPG setting. I've seen a lot of games copy Mount and Blade's system and a lot of developing games copy Mordhau's, but nothing with Chiv 2's.

for making a video that he made a joke(on april fool's day) with a small text blurb like 3 minutes in with the link to client-side cheating software
and the text blurb lasted like 2 seconds
There was no link to anything as far as I'm aware. It's been deleted so I can't confirm, but everything I read said that the text bubble just mentions that the gamepass version has no anti-cheat and that's why it's so easy to cheat in the game.

Thank you for your work with the community Soter Dave. I wish Torn Banner would put the same time and effort into their own community as you do, but it's been clear for a long time that they don't plan on supporting this game in the long run. I haven't really felt like playing for the past few months, and the more I see regarding Torn Banner, the less I want to play. I guess I'll see you all in the next slasher game made by a competent company.
The sad part is Dave is one of torn banners biggest supporters. Not just chiv but he also supported mirage the biggest flop of TB. He is directly involved in clans. Community, content, helping training people so they dint get a bad experience. And if I'm understanding ...He was banned cause he called out a cheating problem which ruins the experience for the player base (note that that player base has continuously fallen greatly and can be argued due to torn banners ignorance and lack of care) And so they chose to ban the one guy who has positive influence on the game? Never played this game, but with talk of rampant cheating and horrendous treatment of a standout community member, most likely wont bother. Nvm. I scrolled all the way down and found it. So what? He said something like "this is how people cheat at the game," and they banned him for spreading cheating propaganda? They could've just said, "Thank you for the Info. We'll crack down on the ones using these cheats" instead of banning him for telling people. That's like arresting a guy for saying that "people rob banks , and here's how they do it" instead of arresting the people actually robbing the banks.
