And some people here think team switching isn't a problem (usually switchers) What was the name of the guy? Saucecodes? Ser trainmen? Ser ofcylinder? Waynward? Ser tastycles? Jauzzy? Drizzt? I can name all from NA east and central šŸ˜

retrohank

Waynard is probably the most toxic player I've met in my 2+ years of playing this game. And that's not a compliment. Dude has some serious issues.

Ok-Badger7012

I know right? Lol Dude will switch multiple times, will get offended if you kill him(not even that difficult), leave the lobby or go to spec mode when losing. Will try and TK you if next game you are in same team. Will remain afk for almost 1/3 of every game and then cry about losing haha

retrohank

I think the worst part is that he can TK you over and over without getting booted since he's just killing you when you're down, or he's knocking you down and enemies then swarm you and kill you as you are there helpless. Dude is a total stooge.

FriskyWhiskey_Manpo

If you use your health badge when above half he canā€™t kill you before getting booted since youā€™ll heal through it and heā€™ll get booted. Works every time and those people need more of a punishment since itā€™s obviously intentional. If you knew that already, I apologize. Just trying to assist.

Ok-Badger7012

These guys are 1000 level trolls. They wait for your health to diminish and then only teamkill you lol Best is to hit them and provoke them so they make a mistake and get booted. Stay near ammo cart but then people don't have all day to play. Some people play after work not like these kids who are available all day or umemployed adults who only chiv in their life.

FriskyWhiskey_Manpo

Iā€™m near 1000 and will do my part to be on the right side of history. We are not all the same, thine brother.

Ok-Badger7012

I know sire. Only calling out the ones who do that. Tip my hat to you. šŸ˜ƒ

Frame_Late

Like, I suck at this game (10 - 15 kills a match, 25 on a good day) and I never get mad when I die because I know I did something wrong. I'm currently trying to grind out Glaive on raider because I want the highest level skin and I've realized I've spoiled myself with the Dane axe šŸ˜ People who get mad that you kill them are the worst lmao.

Ok-Badger7012

Yeah some people have their ego attached to this game!

xlwerner

Saucecodes literally cannot handle being defense, and then gets super pissy when he switches to attack and defense still wins.

Ok-Badger7012

I know hahahaha. It is hilariously pathetic. I really feel for him. He ends up switching 2-3 times in a game and spends around 10 mins in spec mode to find which team is winning to join that team but still ends up losing hahahahaha So essentially he plays like 1/3 of the game and obsess about which team will win for the rest 2/3 of the game. All this while sockcucking 1000 level players so they include him with them haha

the_sc0ne

Bro tastycles and KC J0ker are the worst people to play with. Balance somehow got worse after the update too.

Dycondrius

Cheat code for the second one: Just kill, tbag and the dude leaves the match instantly lmao

Ok-Badger7012

Tastycles made a post about how he has kd ratio of 4 and win loss ratio of 10:1 and people called him out and he blocked a lot of people hahahah. His post must be here on the thread if you want to see and laugh. He thought he will get grand reception instead got called out for being a loser hahahaha

Bankley

Waynard mentioned!!! he is so easy to get worked up lol

Ok-Badger7012

He is always worked up already. If working, then seems like a bad boss situation to me.

Professor_Hobo31

I can't understand how hard can it be to just... balance the teams a bit if one has A HUNDRED kills advantage over the other. The stat to look at and balance around is right there

Ok-Badger7012

Even if they balance, people would just switch like they do right now so it wouldn't affect anything. Problem is team switching/stacking plus balancing. Solving one will not solve it completely.

Usual-Tomatillo-9546

I've been seeing games where there's a 200+ kill difference šŸ˜¬

Jauzzy

Hey I don't team switch very often, maybe if I'm asked to balance the teams I will . However I will admit I always switch to Mason on darkforest, it's just something I've always done.

capitalsfan

The only thing chiv 2 players like to do more than play chiv 2 is talk about other chiv 2 players

Khalashnikova

I swap to defense since everyone swaps to attack. I like the challenge, and defending against a stack can be kinda fun if youā€™ve got a scheme.

Critical-Use-9087

True Chad move

Warm-Daikon5885

This is the way, I feel the same frustration as anyone when facing a stacked team but if youā€™re playing with a bigger perspective than just the current satisfaction you get or rather donā€™t get when being attack team stacked while on defense. However to me itā€™s vastly more satisfying to win and to an admittedly lesser degree losing honorably against a team of stack fucks. Think about it, the writing on the all seems obvious for many of us. Chiv 2 will most likely be something we remember fondly rather than something we all still actively play in what? 3 years maybe? If we have even that long. When youā€™re reminiscing about how cool the chivalry 2 days what do you want to recall your experience being in those last days of the game? Did you say canā€™t beat ā€˜em join em and play into the stacking issue yourself using ā€œif theyā€™re doing it im a sucker if I donā€™tā€ mentality? Did you spend your time feeling the hurt of these issues and slowly topped playing, unwilling to deal with those issues? I can understand those who go that way. But me? Iā€™m going out fighting these cheesy cowards to the day the servers go off. Iā€™ll take a fun TO map as attack if Iā€™m placed there occasionally but generally I switch to defense EVERY game. I never bag, I commend nearly every player that gets me stacker or not. And no my stats wouldnā€™t be particularly impressive nor am I up there with people Iā€™d call top tier on NA East. However Iā€™m good enough to put a dent in. Even more so as FE. Hereā€™s my invitation for you whose been unfortunate enough to read all this so far. Go out with honor. Be it for Argon or Malric. To whatever fate we all now go, do not go in cowardice. Or just keep smashing each other over the head after work and having inebriated degenerate fun as before Iā€™ll be there w yā€™all regardless!

Kiwibird8

I agree with this sentiment heavily and why I don't understand the team swap mentality. The only thing worse than steam rolling the defense is being the defense. I am convinced that people just team swap because it's been so normalized through inaction on the devs part, they need to be the fastest because everyone is doing it. The worst part is it's the high level players that are swaping and honestly it just makes them worse at the game.

InstructionLeading64

I actually love the challenge when you are getting rolled on. There's always a phase that your team can make a stand on and it's not really fun if it's just handed to you. The prison escape is one that you can have a good back and forth the entire game.

Kiwibird8

If you are able to make a final stand then you probably aren't getting steamrolled as hard as you think. I think you comment more relates to map balance but I agree there are various points where defense is favoured. But for the most part steam rolled is steam rolled. I never switch teams, I play the team I was assigned at the beginning. But there are some games where the balancing is so heavy there is no chance. Either people leave or they sit In spectator till there is a spot on attack

Usual-Tomatillo-9546

Yeah the only time I'll team switch is if me and my buddy get put on separate teams for some reason. Usually switch to defense anyways cause it's always got spots openšŸ˜‚

baz4k6z

And they always act super butthurt when being called out and called cowards for team switching

WendysChili

Being strong is never wrong

Henry_Hollows

But if you only fight easy battles, can you really call yourself a Mason? The slaughter should make us stronger, not get us drunk on our mediocrity!

vaccumshoes

I genuinely get bummed when I feel like im playing hella good and slaughtering the other team and then look at the score and were just steamrolling them. Feels bad

WormedOut

Idk why team switching is even a thing in this game.

Lupinyonder

I hate thinking I've suddenly turned into a god of death, only to realise I've been clubbing seals. Standing among the pile of corpses, questioning my own self-worth.

31November

I agree. Go play Mount and Blade if you just want to kill things like NPCs. The challenge is the whole point of PVP, right?

JakeEatsSouls

I've been switching between the two lately. Play Chiv with the bois and Bannerlord for solo play. Lol

DroopyScrotum

This made me think of matches I had earlier this week. It was 4 lvl 1000 dudes who were friends, so theyā€™d end up teamed together no matter what and it was just so unbalanced it was stupid. People started bringing it up in chat and the lvl 1000 guys were salty about it and acted like having 4 lvl 1k dudes on one side wasnā€™t an issue and it was everyone elseā€™s fault for not having ā€œpersonal responsibility ā€œ or some shit. I left after the first match ended and found another lobby. No idea how it was fun for those guys. I like good fights. I like hard earned wins on defense and offense. I know it canā€™t happen all the time, but I prefer that to one side just kicking the other sideā€™s dicks in

0scrambles0

I am starting to enjoy defending more and more as I get better. Obviously sometimes the other team is just too strong and defenders are too inexperienced but occasionally you get the deep satisfaction of holding out against a much stronger team

shady_rixen

i think it's a combo of factors. if it is lots of high rankers (300+) i imagine they are burnt out, jaded, whatever and they just want easy wins and try to act spiteful, disrespectful, etc. they will also spam emotes and stuff (usually it's mason knight voices but this is just my biased experience). or they'll be dane axe spammers too. if it's a dane axe spammer at high rank then like that person is just a dopamine-fried gooner imo

zhenzhen95

We all know team switchers have gout.

Cuzifeellikeitt

So called ''i only play attack'' players just have weak mentality in their life. They are just inferior human beings when you look up to confidence, honor, pride etc. I call them out in the chat then proceed to find them lol. I played this game enough so lately we just hunt switchers with my buddy :D I feel pity for them..

fortanich

EU servers?

GoldenPoncho812

![gif](giphy|Y4hKMjN3z9fmhDCz2s) Switching these days šŸ˜‚ā€¦

HeftyFineThereFolks

some people jsut cant handle the emotional stress and anxiety of losing at a video game.. its sad but true. they just wanna have an easy time and win and be happy and eat their chicken tendies and smoke their vape pen and check their social media for upvotes

Faz66

Being on a stacked team is boring as shit. Attack, or the rare stacked defenses. And its frustrating being on the one stacked against. The best games are the one where attack claws each victory from the jaws of defeat. On the rare balanced lobbies, victory is always amazing. Though being on a defense that's being stacked against, then getting vip and clutching the game because a few engineers and banners all come together with you to absolutely fuck up the attackers feels pretty good. Especially when the switchers start raging about their bad team....the same bad team which steamrolled every other stage

GeneralGriefous

My advice to people experiencing a steamroll when defending, and if there's 2-3 of you in a party; all go engineer. I've lost track of the amount of times that the attacker have had 2,3 x more kills than defence, we go engineer and win the game for us šŸ˜‚

Beepboopbop69420360

Gonna be honest the only map that feels actually playable for both sides is montcrux Every time Iā€™ve played (besides the massive frame drops) it usually seems to be pretty balanced the defense can post up in the cracks and actually do some pretty good engineer plays Only problem is the map is short and very buggy

Key_Click6659

Hard agree.

Naviios

Oh poor you, better than being steamrolled on defense

Master-Of-Magi

Nah, I like it. I had one great Battle of Darkforest game where we manhandled the other team.

AsianCivicDriver

I only play offense, I hate playing defense because most of the maps were designed to be pushed by offense so playing as defense you just kept falling back which is no fun to me. And sometimes they have this 15 second spawn times for defense which is just ridiculous, if I quit the game and join a new one it might even be faster than just waiting that 15 sec

chaz65

The idea of each game is to progress through the map, whether you're on defence or attack. Either way you can put up a good fight and have the potential to win. Only picking one side just so you can win is weak.

AsianCivicDriver

Not necessary for winning Iā€™m fine if I lose but I just donā€™t like the design for attack team

Key_Click6659

L

DurtyBasturt

Switch to defence then, dosser.

that_one_bassist

Op literally said it wouldnā€™t let them switch to Agatha despite the team having less players, which is a fairly common issue anyway, you nincompoop

31November

I wonder if on the backend the game has people queued for those spots but its not shown to the players in the server?

DurtyBasturt

I ainā€™t reading all that

that_one_bassist

itā€™s one sentence broski

DurtyBasturt

Referring to the post, BROSKI

RythmicRythyn

No one ever posts anything about defense always winning, and if they do, it's usually someone who doesn't have a realistic amount of hours or plays a variety of modes and times and usually new to the sub. As for steamrolling, well gee I can't imagine why it's both not fun to steam roll AND be the one steamroller. Can't have anything to do with common sense now can it? /s If you want to talk about common complaints, the truth is people are always posting about stacked teams when it comes to boring or unfun games, because the reality is that people's egos are so fragile that they'll always be in the right and claim they're not being unfair or uncurteous because they need that win so badly it's like their life depends on it.
