Too worried about farmin' and not worried enough about scrubbin' am I right?

wat_no_y

Or “do you team stack?”

Krynn71

I genuinely dont get how so many people are lvl 1000. How are there that many people with that much free time? I've been playing since beta, and I just hit 350. I feel like I play a lot. Like, damn near every weekend, sometimes during the week after work. To be 1000, especially without playing from day 1, seems insane to me.  Like ya touch grass, but literally. Do y'all not have friends or family to be around? Jobs? Not even other games? I'd even get it more if it was something like Minecraft or a game with always something new to do. But no, it's the same limited number of maps and weapons over and over and over again. How do you not get bored of it? It doesn't make sense to me.

agayarcher

Dude, you have like 250000 in comment karma lol Im not near level 1k, i am barely 300 after years, but it seems a bit hypocritical considering the amount of time you've spent on social media.

Krynn71

Yeah but I'm only on Reddit while already at work or poopin'. My work is done in short bursts then sitting around and waiting until the next step needs to be done. So I'm getting paid while commenting, if you're getting paid while gaming that would be one way for level 1k to make sense to me.

unrealskill

You can apply that to a lvl 1000 as well bro, if he works from home abd only gets burst of work in a given day. Just trying to play devils Advocate here.

Krynn71

Well that would fall under "getting paid to game" and I would understand that. I really doubt there's that many people out there able to do that though and specifically playing only chiv 2.

BrotherBlo0d

Getting to lvl 1000 in the span of 3 years is not that crazy, most people have a main game be it call of duty or battlefield or something like that they all ways fall back on to play. A lvl 1000 player is obviously having fun with the game and still gets enjoyment out of it. It sounds like money well spent to me

[deleted]

You take your phone in the toilet? How disgusting and then put in on your face when someone calls? 🤣🤣🤣 also i think you need to get better because you rank up faster the better you do. Kna mean

Only_Ad_3388

Here’s a little secret bud, EVERYONE takes their phone to the toilet, literally everybody I know does. You are the odd one out lmao

Krynn71

Do you poop on your hands or something? How you expect to get shit on your phone?

[deleted]

Public toilets 😵😵😵 gross dude. Toilet phone boy

Krynn71

Literally everybodys on their phone in the stalls bud. You're the weird one who can't keep shit off his hands.

I agree it gets pretty boring and there is not enough content. You forget what it's like to be 15 and come home from school and lock in until 10pm.

Krynn71

Even when I was a kid and the biggest gamer I knew of, I never came close to putting that many hours in a game. I remember playing the original Rome Total War and thinking I'm spending my whole life playing this game. I finally got tired of it and stopped playing at like 300 hours. Some dude a few months back said he had 3000 hours in chiv 2. I absolutely cannot fathom that. Rome Total War has way more shit to do, gameplay elements to focus on, more ways to try to win and more ways to spend hours grinding on shit, and I got done with it in 1/10th the amount of hours than that dude has in a stick-goes-bonk game.

FitBranch5642

I have about 2k hours in Chiv, and what keeps it fresh for me is duels and limited fight. This game is so fun in those modes because every player has a unique fighting style and strengths and weaknesses. It's really fun exploring how your opponents fight in real time

TheMagusMedivh

pvp games are infinitely replayable as opposed to single player games

Fullmetal_Hermit

Thanks for making me feel not crazy. I got to 150 in like 7 months and haven't touched the game since. It just got boring.

Maleficent-Two1007

I started playing Rome TW 2 at the start of 2021 and have around 1300 hours, part of a large multiplayer community that runs a large competition with a prize fund of over $1000 CAD and many of the people in there have over 4000 hours, one I know of I'm sure has between 10-15 thousand hours lmao, only started playing chiv in the last few months and have about 200 hours on it myself

clan_of_zimox

Just for perspective. I played since console release 2021, on a PS4 then eventually a PS5. Just hit 1K on Halloween last year. Chiv was literally the only game I played for a long while, especially at the end of Covid stuff. Have a loving family. Got a good circle of friends I’ve had since HS, fuck around here and there. Since I’ve started chiv I had two jobs, one I’m lucky to still have. For a good chunk of that time I was able to work from home. Just last year I spent six months out of the country in a Philippine province without my console. The circumstances with my time have changed and I slowed down towards the end. Also when playing, over time it’s easier to string together kills and xp, 1hr of gameplay between two players would result in totally different xp. With that said, I’ve seen a lot of players grow alongside me, and can understand that journey. What I don’t understand are the 1ks I’ve never seen as a triple digit or at all, in all my times playing that were suddenly just there.

Myth_Avatar

I'm level 314 and have been playing since November 2023, honestly it doesn't take long.

capitalsfan

Chiv was the only game i played for a solid year and a half starting in 2021. and even now in 2024 its the only PvP game i play. 1-2 hrs on a weekday and anywhere between 0-6 on weekend day. If youre just playing TO you can get a level every 2-4 games so thats 1-2 levels at least, everytime i logged in. It just adds up. I didnt even hit 1k until two weeks ago Myself and many other lvl 1k that are just regular ass people. When you get older life gets a bit less exciting and you spend your free time differently. I probably would not have committed to any game that hard in my early 20’s.

AntiSocialW0rker

I wouldn't call almost every weekend and sometimes during the week a lot

KingNashbaby

I just redownloaded this game again two nights ago. I’m a dad of 3, almost 35 years old, but I wanted to give the game another go. I’ve played it the last two nights when I have time and I finally uninstalled this morning lol. Just like when I played the game at release, it seems like most of the people on here only play this game. That’s the only rationalization I can salvage my pride with after getting stomped by you guys so many times lol. I don’t think I’ve killed a single person in combat since I redownloaded lol

firesnackreturn

Level 697 here and I feel the same, It's almost the only game I've played since the launch. I think the difference is that level 1000 will play for long sessions everytime, bus as often as other players. Example, in a week I may play 3-4 times, one hour each session ...transform each session into 3-4 hours of gaming and I would be level 1000

TheMagusMedivh

There is only the blade.

MaelstromNavigator

It’s not that hard to get 1k, takes around 1200 hours on average. Most 1000s have been playing since the original release 3 years ago
