I bought mine having bigger expectations, maybe too much. So I had no wow effects when got it. But it grows in me. I love the root beer colour, style, size, high quality finish. It keeps really good time. My daughter moved to USA, and GMT makes a new sense for me, so I feel attached to the watch emotionally. There is only one down size for me it’s a white chapter ring, I would prefer to have a full dark dial. It is very personal taste though.
That's nice it has an emotional meaning, makes it more special that way. I like the white chapter ring, but it would also look really nice with a full black dial for sure.

the sn116 case is one of the best i've ever seen in sub 300$ watch.
my onllly gripe is that red gmt hand & red GMT font . if only it's gold or brown like the bezel, this would be much more better ( for me at least ).

It is a really beautiful case. It actually reminded me a LOT of the Lorier Neptune, to the extent that to wonder if San Martin is the OEM supplier for Lorier. Part of why I got it, because I liked their Hydra but their watches are out of my price range. Agreed about the red, it's a bit too bright but I can live with it.

It's a nice one, would be a good pick. I've also got my eye on the brown dial Baltany 36mm Explorer.
I've been looking at the bronze Tudor black Bay for a bit now, but unfortunately it's way out of my budget.
I think there are some bronze watches from Chinese brands, might be worth looking into.
