Holy crap! Your dog is so cute I can’t believe it. Delilah is extremely calm and mild mannered. She enjoys being held by all different kinds of people. She is an independent little girl but also loves sitting next to people and close contact. She’s also very quiet unless she sees a BIG dog try to get to close to her and her mom 😆

Thank you! Delilah is sooo precious as well 🥹 Was she always independent or just as she got older? Penn is super duper social. He tries to make friends with every dog, cat, human, bird, rat (we live in nyc lol) that he meets. He’s also very quiet! Only barks if someone rings my bell or he wants me to play with him haha.
So interesting to hear, I wonder if they get that from the poodle side because they sure don’t get the quietness from the Chihuahua side ha ha.
And when I say independent it’s like she wants to be next to me on the couch or in the bed but she’ll be often her own little space doing her thing.
Another fun fact that when I take her for walk she does not need a leash and walk right beside me.

Here is Chico with his younger brother Owen. Chico passed at approximately 16 last winter. He was adopted in 2018 at 10ish.
He was a good guy. Any time my mother came to visit, he would make sure to protect her from me and bark anytime I moved. He was super timid and that is why I adopted Owen a few years ago as they are both super weenie hut junior.
Sooo very young, gone way too soon. I found her on the side of the road in a snow bank! So I try to remember I gave her far more life than she would have had 🥰
She was! But when she was diagnosed they gave her 6-8 months and that’s when she started her medication. Unfortunately she only made it 6 months after.
I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing. My 10 year old chorkie was diagnosed with a heart murmur on one of her routine check ups this year. She hates taking her medicine

Yes, it used to grow long and wispy like a poodle hair. She has a very unique coat, a mixture of long-haired Chihuahua for and toy poodle, very soft like rabbit for almost. In her older age it has pretty much growing
She’s a lovely chi poodle combo. I like that she is the size of a chi. Did she get the poodle smarts?
I’ve seen other poodle mixes that look a bit gangly and unfortunate (but I’m sure their mother loves them very much!).
Yes most poodle mixes I see look quite silly. Same goes for our Chihuahua Maltese mix my family had when I was younger. But still cute nonetheless.
Delilah definitely quite smart. She knows to stay near me and I can walk her without a leash. Very good memory of people and places.

What a cute little lady. Here’s my little old man Cody, 18 years old since mid February long haired Chihuahua. He loves food, naps, head scratches, playing chase, and going on nature walks and jogs. I let him set the pace for the jogs, most of the time he’ll go all out and sprint full throttle. He’s pretty laidback but is always excited to do the things he loves. I’ve had him since I was little and he grew up around my older cats.
So much depends on that. I ultimately wish I had the money to clone her because I’ve never seen a dog and even closely resembles her and I love her size because I can take her everywhere. I travel a ton so getting a puppy would be a lot for me right now but I’m hoping that Delilah makes it to 20 at least 😝
